It's very simple indeed Dr, you should have no worries at all mate.

I'm in the same boat as you, I'm buying a PS3 just for offline for the ML and Bal. I did manage to patch my option file for the Xbox 360 but it did cost me about £60, and that was after I'd bought a Xbox camera to try and photograph the team badges. A good £100 was spent in total.

I did get my moneys worth though as PES is pretty much the only game I play.

I downloaded the Von option file for my son and my mate for their PS3's. It was so so easy, and absolutely outstanding. And the only reason I'm buying a PS3 this time around.

You basically download the file to your PC. Copy the files to a memory stick. Then insert the memory stick into the PS3 and copy over your game save file. You then copy over all the faces, kits, chants etc etc. It took about 30 mins to transfer them all over, but it was a doddle. Then all I had to do was allocate the chants to each team, but they were named accordingly, so it was very easy.

Compared to the old PS2 days, it was an absolute walk in the park, you can do it with your eyes closed mate.

Edit- The patch you download will come with instructions so I wouldnt worry about that either.

Instructions:
1. Unzip file using Winzip or Winrar
2. Copy 'PS3' folder to your flashdrive
3. Insert flashdrive into PS3. Go to 'Saved Data Utility'. Now click 'USB Device'
4. Copy ALL files from flash drive to PS3

For chants:

1. Copy MUSIC folder to flash drive.
2. Go to music on PS3 and select USB device
3. Copy all chants over
4. Create a playlist entitled KONAMI_PES
5. Add all chants to playlist
6. Enter game, go to edit mode, edit team and cheering stance. You should find your chants here

Jimmy, you're going to have to give me the run through on how to 'customise' my 360 to play some patched PES. I'm up for a bit of that this year.

Do some of the patches add the Bundesliga in the empty slots?

yeah, bolloxmasta is the king of patches....makes a great patch for xbox 360

only real reason i still play pes2009, all the proper kits for club and national plus added the bundesliga..amazing!!

No worries mate. I think Dan is talking about a patch for a 'modded' console. My Xbox 360 isnt modded, so I used a Datel Transfer Kit and memory card with 'patched' option file. Its a real ball-ache and my mate did it for me, as it got me too frustrated. He is a PC geek, it was a doddle for him. :LOL:

When the 'option file' patch comes out, it will have instructions and how to do it with either a Datel Transfer Kit or an Xport.

no mate this is easily the best, attention to detail he puts into the patch is quality

has added new adboards, boots, balls, players faces, 09-10 kits, club badges, league badges, better pitches

yep as jimmy said this is for a 'modded 360'

Ah, ok I didn't realise you weren't using a patch. Yeah, I was looking to get my console modded so I can play the real deal. My console is out of warranty in a month so I'm not bothered about it being opened up.

@ Dan, ok mate I will give that one a look. New pitch textures, eh? I thought the grass in PES2009 was pretty good anyway.

Edit: Wow at the pictures! The detail in the first one (Marseille) is really something else.

unfortunately mate you can't patch for the ps3...yet, maybe in the future

best option file for kits on the ps3 was the muff's file......very good infact

but because i'm a pro evo nut, i bought an xbox 360 arcade package from tesco (115 quid) and paid some bloke (20 quid) to flash it....so i could play a properly modded patch like i used to for the ps2, with real kits, boots, balls etc

ANYONE! please help!

How on earth do you download the NEMESIS Option file so I can see the kits and faces in edit mode?

I have copied the Nemesis option file, faces, and kits from the USB Stick to the Save Data Utility folder in my PS3. But when I load the game, nothing has changed in edit mode. The only thing that is there are the Chants. Even when I go to "System Settings" in-game, there is nothing there to load.

Can someone releive me from my ignorance please.

Once they are on your PS3 hard-drive, you then need to copy kits, faces, etc over individually. I think you click on each one and press copy. I dont have a PS3 yet, so thats just off memory. You definately needed to copy them over one by one mate.


Also try the Von option file for PS3. It comes with easy instructions.

In addition to what Jimmy is saying here, IIRC sometimes you have to go into edit mode and assign one of the kits, then the rest will assign automatically. I think it just gets a little confused sometimes when you've copied over a fresh OF and kits/faces etc.

This is very confusing. I have copied all the kits, faces, option file from the USB to the PS3. I just don't know how to load them in-game in edit mode. I can see the files when I delete in system settings in-game. I feel that I am so close but yet so far away. lol

jflores follow these steps you can't go wrong(from pesgaming.com)

Installing basic option files PS3
-Follow link to download OF
-When downloaded on your cpu, should appear as a .zip file. (compressed data file)
-Get winrar or any unzip utility from the web (google search these)if you haventgot these already
-Go into chosen utility and Unzip downloaded file
-This should now appear as a ps3 folder, within that will be many uniform folders and a option folder
-Copy the whole ps3 folder and its sub folders, to a pc formatted usb stick
-Stick usb in playstation
-Under game menu in media bar om ps3 is a save data utility
-in this folder will be all your game saves for you games
-Delete all your existing pes edit data/kit pngs . (if you wanna keep your save cups/leagues/bal etc you can)
-at the top should say usb device (or similar)
-go into that you will see all the pes files (an edit data file, and many images of kits)
-press triangle on one and copy that to your ps3 (your main user profile on your ps3)
-repeat this for all the files
-These will now appear as they did on your usb, but now on your ps3 with all your other save games
-MAKE SURE YOU DEFINITELY COPIED OVER THE EDIT DATA AND DELETED YOUR ORIGINAL ONE OTHERWISE THE OF WONT WORK
-Load pes
-pes will create new user system data (unless you also kept your old system data which you can)
-Edit data will load automatically.....viola

The option file patch I had mate, you didnt need to assign the kits, it did it automatically. When in your PS3 HD, click on each kit, or face, press Triangle, then press copy. Do that for each one and they does be there when you boot the game up.

It's because of the lack of update/info from konami so that we don't have anything to discuss other than editing.

Anyway, its about 1 week to go before the demo's out. Just can't wait :))
