I can remember some of your posts containing lots of maximum biased trollage. What did you expect me to do with them instead?
I've tried to keep FIFA out of this thread and it didn't work. We're currently short on manpower and I alone simply can't be arsed wasting all my time in here. That's why I don't interfere now. (And not because some geniuses thought they could diddle me by using "the other game" instead of just "FIFA"
).

I am biased btw, I like PES way more than FIFA after playing both extensively, I can't voice an opinion? Its always straight to the point, always factual and often explained thoroughly.

Mediocre reaction? Not sure about that. Most people seem over the moon with Fifa10 to the extent that I'm starting to think there's something wrong with me for thinking it's nothing more than a decent football game.
It's made me anticipate the PES2010 demo even more because I don't think the competition is that far ahead.

When the PES 2010 PC demo does finally land, I hope to god those tricky programmers in the editing thread come up with a patch that allows us to extend the playing time, to say 10 minute games. I remember they did it for the PES 2008 PC demo.
This is one of my main gripes with the FIFA demo at the moment. As soon as I'm building up play and getting used to it, it's half time. It is impossible to produce enough chances in 3 minute halves, let alone score (which is another matter I have already taken out on my controller
).

I too will be buying both. Im definitely getting FIFA 10 but PES seems to have made major strides and I really hope it does well as I have always loved the series.

yh i will get both, i will play one lot more than the other during the year, only time i will play the one i dont like as much is when im pissed with the one i do like but even then it will be a day before im back on the one i like, most likely to be pes as im getting well pissed with the fifa 10 demo, so many things that make what should be a great game into a wank one, i just hope we get more liscences or able to use option files online, ps3 that is, i know you can on PC

Unfortunately I'm not kidding. In fact I'll probably be buying 3 bloody copies. One for the 360 for Xbox online as most of my mates have Xbox 360.
And one for me with a new PS3 slim, and one for my son and his PS3.

I'm actually leaning towards PS3 purchases of both games this year, although if I do find either good enough to get properly hooked mid to longer term again, I may pick it up a couple of months down the line on the 360 also. Here's hoping thats the case anyway...

I've carried the cross, had a hand along the way and then well and truly been nailed to the mast in the FIFA thread. There is no doubt we are in a minority that think it's decent enough but nothing special!!
I'll read whats going on but there is no point in me exspressing my views or justification as it's a bit negative and not very well thought of. I'm pleased that alot of peeps will get some great enjoyment out of it, but I'm far more excited by PES given the perceived shift in gameplay.

Thanks to this huge BUG, I get three red cards and same number of penalties in two different games in a local tournament and failed to quality for the finals. Thanks Konami, now please remove that stupid automatic tackles and deflections because I specfically want to make my errors, not the AI instead me!
Returning to the topic, I only buy PES, but that is because I dont have a lot of money. I dont like FIFA 10 anyway...
Yes, this bug (I cannot call it another way) is really one of the worst things in all the PES series. It is just unbearable. As I said, it ruins a lot of good and tight games just because the fucking AI decides it is good to tackle a player from behind. Just a silly feint is needed to trig those stupid and cheap tackles. At least I want to make a stupid decision tackling a player into the box, FFS!!!

Did alot of thinking and wonder if I shouldn't cancel my FIFA 10 pre order and get the World cup game at a later stage instead.
I mean it is over R600 (£50),
For a game I could be playing for less than a month.
It doesn't offer much in terms of a 1 player experience.(4 season BAP and IMO a MM mode that doesn't tickle my fancy like ML),
Plus thank to Dr Phil I dont have online gaming
I originally intended to get the WC edition instead but got caught up in the hype and decided I couldnt wait to get FIFA 10 but after reading impressions from everyone including CD I don't think I should go ahead with the preorder.
I could get the game and take a £10 knock and sell it once PES launches.
What do you lot think?
