Ok just a had a quick read through edge magazine's preview, they praised Fifa but did mention that at first it was hard to tell the difference and the biggest difference is the 360 control and thats noticebly not like shout in your face noticabe, they did mention that by the looks of it, Pes 2010 seems to be lacking technically, MOTWYW.

Ok something weird just happened right now or maybe its my first time paying attention to details like this. Ok I was using Arsenal and i noticed Arshavin crossing the ball with an untucked shirt and the next time he scored a goal his shirt was tucked in. PES 2009 folks

mmeny,yes, it happened but we can't set it out ourselves in edit mode like in PES on PS2.It just happened when the players' shirt is pulled by the opponent or it just untucked randomly.

Let's not forget FIFA10 PC is old-gen, made by a different branch of EA. I didn't even bother watching the clip.

okay guys to be clear i did not post that vid to show how amazing fifa 10 is because fifa on pc or ps2 is not counted as a soccer game at all
i just noticed that they used two different SHAPES of goal nets

I was of the impression it didn't exist in the game any longer since peeps on here made it look like since they took it out of the edit mode, it was no longer available. I guess its just my bad then. AND NO ITS NOT A MIRACLE..

am wondering why did they took this from edit player while we can see it in freindly matches or ML matches

I agree FIFA10PC is unplayable at the moment, but i REALLY liked the mouse controls in last year demo. I see this like a killer feature. If they upgrade gameplay/graphics from the next-gen versions at some point, i would buy a FIFA game again since 1998.

PD: This makes me think about a PC adapted PES with mouse controls. It would be great, and of course you could always select a pad instead. But it would add value to the PC version. Although you would lose the 360 movement if player is controlled with keyboard...

Nice find Buzzy. It looks like I will be spending some serious time mastering this manual keeper option. I have never really used it before, although I do bring my keeper our currently, albeit in a straight lines to narrow down the angle. I find it works pretty well, but it certainly isnt a foolproof way of stopping those horrible, 'run around your keeper, cheap goals' that you can exploit on PES 2009 if you wish.

if you spent that much in american $$$ around $1200, then fuck yeah it should be able to run that.

I will have a look into this over the weekend then Gomito. I'm sure I read you can buy an Xbox 360 type pad for the PC ?

I re-watched that last PES 2010 video again last night on my new laptop, as my old laptop never played it fluidly, it has more virus's than George Micheal's best mate.

I can see by the video that you no longer have the ball under as much control as you have done previously. Which is certainly a good thing, and will certainly solve the issue of the fast players being able to run riot at will.

The ball seems to be futher out of your feet for the most part, making the standing challenge/tackle alot easier to pull off. You will certainly have to think a bit more when dribbling, and probably have to use the R2 button more to bring the ball closer to your body. I like that.

You can just use your Xbox 360 controller itself :).

You can plug a wireless one in with a Play & Charge kit or use a wired controller, I think they work wirelessly with some computers too... not sure.

You would probably need to get the XBCD Drivers though, as the original Microsoft ones have no real deadzones and rumble doesn't work, these drivers make the controllers run as flawlessly as they would do on your 360 :).

Depends on if you want to go wireless or wired. If you'll be buying the wired 360 pad, its just plug and play.
But if u want to go for the wireless 360 pad, you need to buy the Windows version. The one that has a wireless receiver included.

My m8 made the mistake of buying the wireless pad thinking it'll work straight on the pc. Apparently you need the receiver as well.

it was not in the first game and they tried to sort it out in an update but it is all screwed like when you score the goal with ronney his shirt will be untucked but when he runs of to celebrate it want be, i pritty sure they did it after a patch. im sure they did:CW: but you stil cant use it in edit mode

I have a couple of wired Xbox 360 pads, and about 5 wireless ones at the last count. :CONFUSE:

I tend to buy a new one everytime I start to suck at the games I'm playing. PES isnt a problem, I can play that with my eyes closed.

Other games, not so good.

Because of course it isnt my fault I'm playing so badly, :WHISTLE: ....... it has to be the pad right ? :SHHH: :COAT:

Small article here: PES 2010 v FIFA 10

(DO NOT CLICK IF YOU'RE NOT OBJECTIVE AND/OR AN EASILY OFFENDED FANBOY! ;) :P)

I think PES fans will jump on it as written by a FIFA fanboy, despite the fact that the guy says repeatedly he was a big Pro Evo fan (and that Pro Evo 6 was his favourite game)... So how can it be biased? It's not a positive article in terms of Pro Evo admittedly (and it doesn't reveal anything new about either game) but it's not biased.

This is what I keep saying, I genuinely think FIFA 10 has a chance of persuading a few of the guys who still love Pro Evo to give it a chance this year. It has definitely incorporated a lot of the things - the whole feeling that anything can happen for a start - that people still play Pro Evo for.

At the very least it should provide some talking points because I'm sure people will disagree with his feelings about the PS2 Pro Evos...

It sounds very good Chris. I will NEVER dismiss anything till I've played it.

It will either 'FEEL' right with me or it wont. And I will know after 10 minutes of play. And thats for both PES and FIFA this year. If the issues I have with FIFA 09 are ironed out, then it may well deserve a purchase. I really dont see EA addressing and rectifying what I personally NEED.

But at the same time, it doesnt mean to say I cant find enjoyment from FIFA 10's other fantastic features. The proof will be in the pudding.

It's Gamescom version, at least six weeks old. Since then it has improved like the Riot video showed us ;)

i think this year if fifa is really the new pes5 then word of mouth will kill pes in the 3weeks before it comes out and alot less people will buy it,i can see the pes demo coming out before oct 2nd to stop this from happening

That is a very good point, I hope we will see that. It would be nice to compare them side by side and I think it would be fairest for Konami as well. I wonder if that's what will happen...

But yeah it's his opinion I'm getting my FiFa10 soon (on my birthday BTW:DRUNK:)then I can make up my own damn mind.....maybe....us librans are rather indecisive.

Then what's the point of truly experiencing a footie sim if u r playing with computer assisted passing and shooting ( i.e. scripted ) for me it takes away the true simulation of football because in reality during a game not all passes and shots reach their intended target

nah that is not true, he does play pes because he goes on to speak about himself as virtual players and speaks about him being slow in pes 2009(true he is very slow)and says that is not the case in real life (which is true, he is rapid) so he does play it and has some knowleage on it and the fact he is a pro footballer and gets over people to sort out internet an that so it almost gaurated he running on 20mb or more and it is possible to play japanese people as they run on sumin like 50mb over ther so it is all possible to have an non lag game with good internet as i have 16mb an i have realy good conection withn people on pes 2009 so i think it is a very true interview.:BOP:

Well that was Jimmy's argument. If you have total control as in FIFA and you perfect the art then it becomes unrealistic. Also how realistic is it for say Song to pass like Fabregas.

boorrrringg...we need new stuff... not new argument... liking the new fifa10 video.wish to see more from PES too. i like the lightning. make the game very much alive. others, maybe a bit improvement than PES2009. hopefully there's more to come when it is released.
