@chris don't boycott us. It's bad enough we lost TG already for exactly the opposite reason.
As for the guys review it is as I mentioned earlier strange that he mentions the defence oriented PES2009 and considers PES 6 the pinnacle of the series. I think you and I realise that we are at a point were FIFA and PES are moving in different directions whereby both have their own ideas in what is considered a footy sim, which I for one am very happy with.
There is no better or worse game except in respect of the aesthetics or online play but the rest comes down to what the inividual wants from the game.

EDIT: What annoys me the most is that if someone posted an article saying FIFA 10 wasn't very good in the FIFA 10 thread, nobody would attack the guy who posted it. Only the article. So yeah, laugh it up, and enjoy PES 2010.

Cheap shot Chris, I highlight Konami's flaws in PES as much anyone. I'm not a blind fanatic, there are many issues that need to be seriously addressed.

There was nothing constructive about the article you posted, but I responded to it in a civil respectful manner. I dont agree with what the guy wrote about PES 2009, so I dont respect his judgement. If, for example, someone who follow's the same principles and concepts I believe in, highlights flaws,then I'll listen.

The guy who posted this states he was a huge PES fan. If he was, then he was a PES fan for different reasons than me. I won’t sell out my principles and beliefs for a bit of gold and glitter. It goes far deeper than that.

There was nothing at all in that article that had any relevance to what you state was the 'intent' of your post. As Buzzy stated, there was nothing positive about it, and had FIFA progaganda written all over it, both your post and his.

I've been fair to you out of respect for your beliefs and your willingness to stand by them. Much like myself. That fact we dont believe in each others beliefs is irrelevant.

As for you not posting in here. Thats entirely up to you Chris, just make sure you take your passengers with you please, they bore the shit out of us PES fans here. :SAL:

Thats a load of bollocks.

Sorry but you are just talking for yourself. I am a PES fan and i would hate to lose the people that actually add value to healthy debate irespective of whatt thier favourite game is.

Yes get rid of the PES is shit posters, but this place would be fuck all without the people who post meaningful arguments.

Chris adds nothing but value.

Chris, as I have mentioned many times is intelligent and respectful. I have no issues with him.

The last article he posted added no value whatsoever to this thread. And whether you chose to believe it, or admit it, it was nothing less than Fifa progaganda.

Show me the postive's in that article from a PES fan's perspective please ? Bearing in mind this is a PES 2010 thread.

Yes it is so. Han, for example, has been around the game long enough to witness first hand the mighty total footballing Dutch team of the early 70's. That's probably at least 20 years longer than you and me.

I have witnessed Cruijff and co (live), i've even witnessed Brazil in 1970 (i was 8 years old then).

Does that mean that my opinion is more valuable than somebody who is 30 years younger than i am ?

Hell no.

After Thomas, Chris is indeed the second valuable member who has left this thread. When all the disgusted have left, only the disgusting are left.

That would be a shame.

Chris will be missed, believe me. I sincerely hope he will change his opinion and come back to this thread. But i don't think so and i wouldn't blame him for that.

He deserves more respect (like everubody else who respect other's opinions).

I don't think that was the point he wanted to make. I would never think my opinion is more valueable because of that.

For me it was just nice from Jimmy saying all that.

BTW I was 21 years of age during WC 1974... ;)

I'm pissed that we have lost yet another great contributor, who, contrary to Jimmy's beleif, is so far off being a fanboy of either game, it's not even in this dimension.

TG was a great asset to this site.......where is he now?? staying away from the cheap jibes and disgusting attitude toward a valuable member.

A great shame IMHO.

Why cant people accept that pes 2010 is gana be great and so is fifa 10, who cares which ones better realy, it your own opinion as its your opinion best represents , if you cant afford both or dont wana get 2 football games than play the game urself on demo or if you can the actual and read a few reviews from magazines or websites you turst and buy the god damn game and then shut the fuck up as this is the pes 2010 news and rumors and not te fifa v pes forum

There was also an article clearly biased towards PES2010 and I think he still posted it.It was PES "propaganda" but we all know what's important, just the fact that we're satisfied or not with the game.

Thomas left Gerd because of all this Fifa Fanboy bullshit that frequents these PES boards. I imagine that he isnt the only one to leave because of this either.

None of us wanted him to go, he was a PES man through and through and someone that is very sorely missed. Chris, although the Messiah to his Fifa followers, isnt to us PES fans what Thomas, is or should I say was. An ambassador for PES.

As for our friend Han, my point was that his knowledge and wisdom of football, and the years he has been around the game demands respect. Or at least it does from myself anyway.

Does Han's opinion count more than someone 30 years his junior? Well thats up to each individual to decide. You dont get handed respect, you earn it, so make of that what you will Gerd.

It was meant in jest, and it was aimed at the people that come on here just to provoke some childish argument and add nothing at all positive to the thread. The constant negativity. There is nothing wrong with highlighting the games flaws, but it would be nice if we heard at least one positive comment from these people. But we dont.

I understand you and I think you're sort of right but that would also mean that Chris is part of these people according to you and I can't say I agree with you.
I guess at the end of the day, each it's the same routine.Around September the real dementia start because the wait for a "new" football game has been really long, let's all be patient.It'll be over soon

It will not take you long to find a post from Chris stating something positive about PES.

I get tired of all the nob ends that come in with one liners that it is shit, FIFA rules and all that immature crap, but you are actually driving the greatest contributors to the thread/site away....how can that be a good thing.

Healthy debate, that is not always what you want to hear, is what makes these sites so great.

If you want to pigeon hole positive comments only then there will be nothing to debate and the thread dies a slow death, I am sure everyone agree's to get rid of the one liner's but for the sake of balnce you need people with differing opinions to mine and yours.

Regarding the post on the flight of a ball when kicked,for people saying that it is impossible to move a ball that way just does'nt stand up with me.Almost anythings possible when playing football and things we never thought we would see happen.Zidane(spelt correct i hope) could do amazing things and a pass i saw him do when he was at juve just seemed impossible.IMHO anything is possible in football.Is that ok jimmy lad,don't forget the IMHO.

As for Zidane, the guy was a genius. Phenonemenal balance combined with a stunning footballing brain combined two of the best feet you will ever see in world football. Even more impressive was the elegance he exuded for such a tall frame. This doesnt mean even he could defy the laws of physics though, no matter how brilliant he was.

Edit - It doesnt matter. Lets just keep this on topic.
