You are right about the "skills"; I am a moderate to bad player and I do better than that :D

That is badly translated I guess, as he got the same build the MEDIA got during Gamescom, which was different from the demo for the public on gamescom.
Those two are very different.
The public demo only got a few modes and was a month old and the media copy was with all teams and options to look at.

Hum, I guess Riot doesn't own anything to Konami and still he represents the media and gets the code :P

To be fair i thought they were better than some on the gamescon players. What i can never understand is that i hardly ever see anyone shielding the ball and waiting to make a pass.
I think some testers have got their pes08/09 heads on and are playing it like a (arcadish)computer game,and not how they would play football for real.But when the penny drops we should see some good matchplay, Just like the old days. ;)

Exactly... the preview version is something totally different from the stripped demo-version that the public played on Gamescom.
A preview version is for the media to write a preview about. That one has all functions and modes ( apart from On-line of course ).

The new code in the 8-min long video is AMAZING.... great dribbling animations, much slower pace, better defenders, and no exploits.... finally.

Nice stuff there! Btw, they say that in that build penaltys are on "regular gameplay" camera, but on hobby consoles scans penaltys were in the normal penalty camera. What's up with that?

Also, considering that they were very critic with the first playtest, and this phrase stands out:" But I can honestly now say Pes is back on track. You guys are going to love it. I don’t get paid to write ITR - this is an honest review, and I can certainly say that this is the best Pes I’ve ever played."

A lot of people laughing about 50%-80% build but it appears to be true:)) I see big diifference between Gamscom videos and the latest one.Animations look more realistic,game is slower,AI and goalkeepers better.Guys look for Trochowski running in 1.20 min.Superb for me.Come on KONAMI.

Agree, the animation seems far more "fleshed out". Not sure about the speed, but looks a lot better then the early video's.

Konami are so cack at PR it's untrue! :D

im going back and forth on this game but the lastest video and preview has me very excited.. does anyone know when this will come out in the states?

I am very excited at the prospect of 2 immense footy games this year.
I am happy that both companies have different interpretations of what the beautiful game is. I for one hope it stays that way. I had a session of PES2009 this morning and don't want PES to change to the point where it loses it's unique identity.

Play NBA2K9 or any of the other top sports games and you will soon realise that what you have just said is not true. Fifa's animations may have resulted in laboured response times but that is just one game. It doesn't mean ultra realistic animations and sharp response times cannot work together at all.

A game like pes that is not based on real physics but in a series of well connected animations needs a hell a lot of animations to avoid the scripting feeling. This year is no difference that the last three, the game has a bad audio, not enought gameplay innovation, the same game modes and an online offering that is gonna match pes6...which was released 3 years ago.

I don't think we should be too pleased with this average pes.

While I'm looking forward to PES2010, I completely agree with this. PES is still well behind what the rest of the sports game developers are doing. The game is still nowhere near what I hoped it would be 4 years ago when the next-gen consoles were being launched.

Ditto. Really, 2K Sports should seriously produce a next-gen game depicting the most popular sport on the planet.... They've done a marvelous job simulating basketball and tennis in the NBA2K and Top Spin series.

I mean, look at the way the game flows ultra-smoothly with all those real-time fans animations, player physics and animations, along with the gorgeous cloth AND hair physics running beautifully at the same time.

Granted, the number of fans and players are much more in a soccer game, but sports games are generally not as exhaustive as 3rd person and FPS games like Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2... where thousands of particles are dispersed in the air in a matter of milli-seconds, each with its own lighting, shadows, and physics trajectory simultaneously.

Yeah i know,i watched half but youtube says now''register youtube''. Uploader changed to ''private''.I asked because maybe private means ''just youtube registered users''.

I'm 100% sure somebody saved it and will re-upload it. I was considering doing that myself but was downloading other stuff and running out of memory unfortunately at the time...
