I am not discovering the wheel, but some people exaggerate with a video game.

About FIFA thread, pleaaaaaaaaaaseeeeeeee.... I have never entered that forum since I don't care about FIFA (it is impossible for me to like it, even if I recognize big steps in a right direction - but also I am smart to enough avoid bashing it in a PES thread!) but I really feel it is hard to believe that the SAME PEOPLE like Tik^3 are not bashing PES there... probably is a perfect world there. Damn, I guess I am a fool for not enjoying a place like that...

Same for me..

For some reasons I only discovered Pes in 2007 (PES 6),
before I haven't played videogames for some years.

That's why I was extremely disappointed with the last 2 PES games..

Based on PES 6 I was waiting for some mind blowing hyper realistic footy game, and in the best case I will get a PES5 - 6 HD game with a lot of missing features in the 3rd current-gen instalment..

I think I have the right to be disappointed..

You know what Lami, I genuinely feel your hunger mate. Hopefully 2010 will be the year you can fill your boots and the deliciously proposed menu provided by Konami will satisfy those hunger pains, as opposed to making you vomit profusely. :LOL:

I must admit I'm pretty much full up with PES 2009. BAL has been conquered, Master League well and truly mastered, I need a new challenge. And with the removal of the pieces of Salmonella from last years title, I should be more than happy with the banquet of football Konami are cooking up this year.

Actually, just check my last 100 or so posts on evo-web. I think there might be one, and even that isn't especially harsh. Very few of my posts are digs at PES, mostly jokes or comments directed at people I don't agree with. :D

I'm not the first and won't be the last saying let's stop with Fanboynism.
We're free of choosing either one or even both games, wich seem to be pretty good this year and that's the only thing that matters to us customers.

I've got the feeling some of us over here have the same mentality as gang members or something like that. We don't belong neither to a ProEvo or FIFA Gang that doesn't permit us to look what's going on on the other side.

I also always liked ProEvo for what it's been and still is for me, also if I have to admit that 2008 on PS3 was the only ProEvo title I played less than a month or two.

I always tried to get into FIFA, also 2009 but for me it never gave me the same sadisfaction, wich doesn't mean it's better or worse, it only means I prefer Burger King to McDonalds, nothing more and nothing less.

Our opinions and critics are important to improve both games and I don't wanna say we all have to be quiet and happy with what we had until now.

As I said, like Burger King but prefer Fish Mac or Chicken Mc Nuggets of the other company, there is always room to improve and I#m happy I have the choice!

Been since 2008 for me Lami. It's not that the last 3 games have been all bad. Just uninspired. This one -2010- looks like fun though.

Its common knowledge that the PES have been in a slump, but this year seem to roll the ball forward, how far up remains to be seen, but I have a good vibe from what I have seen so far.

I still prefre using metacritic since there we can check reviews from dozens of sites and the score is the overall of those reviews, so it´s not a single person opinion, but an opinion of lots.

God there are alot of ego's in here:CONFUSE:

Why can't we see the strengths in both games??? Comparing the two is almost irrelevant, the only common ground they share is football. The animation, graphics, engine, ball physics, presentation, music, editing.....etc, etc, etc are all pulling in different directions and it will always be that way.

FIFA is great but it gives me no wow factor when scoring, PES has been shit for the past 3 years and has also given me no wow factor when scoring, but ............and its a big but, both games look like they have what it takes to combine fun with realistic football moments, not seen since the PS2 and thats something we should be embracing rather than comparing.

I respect eveyones opinion in here and the level of maturity, intellect and honesty make it great to discuss, but we seem to be getting so wrapped up in what we prefer, that it's kind of detracting from the point of the thread.

I'm not saying FIFA fans stay in that box and PES fans stay in the other box, I'm just saying it's not worth debating something that is not really contributing to the spirit of the site or adding value to the topic.

Haha moment of madness mate, I just saw it and thought I'll grab a bargain. The theory was also to own a copy of every PES again. I have all the others (all on the PC bar 2009 on the PS3) and my old copy of PES 2008 on the PS3 got damaged....by....erm.... the cat.. (I snapped it :SMUG:).

It's not irrelevant to compare. When one title is trying to compete for your hard earned $60 comparisons are inevitable. Both games bring something to the table. Lately one more so than the other.That is why you see Konami and EA copying ideas from each other. I disagree with either game not giving you a satisfaction when scoring. When you play online in FIFA and score the winner in clubs it's great. In PES it's great feeling when you finally score with you BAL player (Hadn't played PES since 6 so it's been more frustrating than anything for me though because of me having to get used to the D-pad).
