PES2010 discussion thread

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Please. As long as PES doesn't offer 10 vs 10 (Clubs is the best mode ever invented, hands down) then FIFA will always win the online part. It's so clear to see that they wanted PES to "win". CL makes up for all the leagues that FIFA have? Maybe if you're a glory hunter that only play with big teams.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

From Caniggia's Blog(Translated):

I lost 1-0. Men. It felt wonderful.

I squeezed and I squeezed. Lots of chances came back to Lyon. I shot at pole. Wall play me through and shot straight at the goalkeeper. In another scenario, I had an open goal and goalie saves in some magical way, plus the ball then bounces off an opponent out. In a third situation, but my goal waved off for offside. And incredibly unfair. But really. In some moments you do not win even though it has been the better player. It is simply a bad day at work.

This is football and it is this kind of feeling I want in a football game. That it can win despite being a worse player. As a better player, it can not be outplayed, but they may miss target 100ggr because of his bad cold. I like the chance and I like a underdog and most of all, I like the fact that each målchans hopefully will not be the same. Thousands of animations will make tomorrow's game to unprecedented experiences with as many different outputs.

In PES, I do not always able to predict a winner. However, this fact becomes a smokescreen when people just play with the best teams. I want to be able to threaten the less the law, show off my skills and my gameplay by linking together the various tactical elements of the PES. I hope there is time for it now. After 1-2 months the game who want to get really good at the game ate up PES and found weaknesses in the game engine and probably made the game to a so-called "one-trick pony." That is why I enjoy visiting. When I have not found any such weaknesses in the hope that one tactic and style of play is not the right thing in PES 2010th

I love google translation! It expresses just exactly what I want to say! HAHAHAHAHAHA! :D

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

i feel exactly the same, its like an iron ball on a magnetic field, it dosent feel natural or lifelike at all, this can just ruin the whole gameplay even with perfect animation and graphics

i was disappointed from the ballphysics in pes2008, too. but the overall flow of the game and the pes-feeling made me play it.
then pes 2009 ballphysics: wow! best ever seen on a videogame.

Aah I knew there was someone out there that played PES 2008 besides me. Careful though what you say about PES 2009s ball physics you could start a riot here. Personally I didn't like the ballon ball physics offered by FIFA and feel the same way about the PES2009 ball physics.

How much would 2008 cost now? I would think of grabbing one for comparison. I barely played that game to the point I have no idea or memory how it looks like or plays

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I think it's pretty clear that Canigga likes PES 2010 alot. He is basically saying that he feels this years game has taken out the element that no matter how good a player you are, you can always be beaten by the likes of Barcelona and the Messi sprint fest boys. By the sounds of it, he feels like its probably gone back to the more simulated feel of a PES 5.

I think, " It felt wonderful " says everything really.

I love the fact he highlights that the annoying glitches that could be exploited in PES 2009 are no longer there with regards the 'Super Teams' element. It sounds like the 1 v 1 game has gone down the lines of the better player wins, and not simply the better team which can happen alot in PES 2009.

Bearing in mind this chap is well respected, then I'm sure the 'TRUE' PES fans on here who buy into Konami's concept will be very happy. The other 80% that post on this thread who masquerade as PES fans but are clearly not, will probably be a little perturbed by Claudio's comments.

Its all looking very, very good indeed for the real fans.

Roll on October.

Yeah but when compared to his reaction playing FIFA10.... now that I'd like to know...

But it's good that he thinks that PES2010 alone is a solid game, at 70%.... I too think the game will be amazing to be honest...

jimmy, we are all pes fans of old

some likes pes2009 and some didn't

but the reason i still visit this site is i'm hoping the game returns to it's past glory....me personally cannot understand how hard konami have found adjusting to next-gen and taken a game that was perfect on the ps2 to completly ruining it on ps3/xbox 360

hopefully pes2010 will be a return to normal service and bring back the old pes magic

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

for me pes2009 is ok against a friend

but the AI is awful and has no feel to it at all

but hey, it's all about opinions

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

August 2014...

The new Pro Evolution Fifa Soccer '14 is presented on Gamescom,
and we had the honor to be one of the first playing a 60% build.

Wow, what an experience!
The Company KONAMI ARTS SPORTS has made another step forward to perfection! After the Fusion of the two Companies KONAMI and EA Sports back in 2012, the game is nearlly as perfect as simulated Football could get.
The additions of last years version as for example
-EMOTION ENGINE CROWDS, GRAS TEXTURE EDITOR, TATTOO EDITOR,
SI GAMES FOOTBALL MANAGER DATABASE with every League in the World officially licensed-
seem nothing against this years improvement.

The Gameplay doesn't leave room for improvements, as it is absolutely perfect.
360°, 4D Movement for the players, 2200 different animations for non star players and 600 extra personalized animations for Star players. Every player of the European leagues has been Mo-Capped, as well as every player of the "big" national teams. Fully manual controls of passing, shooting, crossing and running. Over 50 different styles of tacklings and headers for defensive players.

The presentation is beyond everything you could ever imagine, looking at a real Football match broadcasted or looking at
PEFS 14 is exactly the same thing, obviously the commentary in the game is more detailed and life-like, because every famous commentator of all countries worldwide has been implemented with over 36 hours of recorded voice samples.

When KONAMI ARTS SPORTS continous like this, there will be no room for improvements next year.

The only thing we don't understand and hope will be fixed in the final version is the possibility of untuck shirts in the editor.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Ooh the real PES fans! We are all fans, otherwise it would be a waste of time being in here.Behave yourself lad.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Surely no one on here thinks 2010 is not going to be a better product than 2009, just from the vid's alone that's obvious...

As for the whole build percentage thing I fear until we are unwrapping the game and shoving it in the slot that will continue, then it will be "what can they change with DLC"... :P

I really couldnt give a rats ass what he thinks of FIFA 10. It's not a concept I buy into mate.

Dan, I so wish that was true, but it isnt. Very few PES fans post here because of the Fifa fanboyism that decimates these boards. Evoweb should be a place where like-minded fans can discuss the game, ideally in a positive way.

It is so far removed from that philosophy its untrue. EvoWeb has a great editing section, but the Pro PES chat leaves alot to be desired.

You seem genuine though, and the only reason I've bothered replying.

As for the PS2 days being perfect ? Thats not quite true either. We moaned every year about something, and we had due cause. But the principles of what made true PES fans fall in love with Konami's concept havent changed. The fundemental core of a stat based performance product has never waivered.

I honestly dont care what people think of the game. As long as I love it, thats all the matters to me. And I think there is a pretty big chance I will.

What is it you're after, an only positive post site, where fawning and crowing are the only things allowed.
Like a lot of people on here I played PES because I loved the game and I thought it was the best at representing football at a simulation level for me, once edited with the thanks of these guys on here it would consume months of my life.

I didn't buy it because I bought into Konami's so called philosophy, I bought it because it was the best product on the market.

Konami are a massive company making massive money, they aren't full of zen masters or guys in their bedrooms trying to change the world and bring out a niche product.

I also think EvoWeb and this forum is full of like minded people, just because it's not modded to death and free debate is allowed and yes we get some blinkered idiots from both sides of the fence sometimes does not make it bad.
Comparisons are inevitable I'm afraid, you will never stop that, as long as they are relevant I still don't see an issue, if it was not FIFA then it would be some other title.

As you are the self appointed 'Fanboy' in here, stop whining about it and fight your cause... ;)

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

PSM3 world exclusive scans of MW2 have leaked out. PES2010 preview is in same magazine too containing newer build. Hoping for a leak!
