Well that says it all...they are biased.
FIFA09 was clearly much better than last year's PES...and i'm supposed to be a PES fanboy...

But i hope we get two fantastic games this year.

Oh and about reviews: they are subjective. There is nothing wrong with that, every human being is subjective.

I'm a huge music fan (5000 CD's) and what i search for is a journalist who has the same taste as me, who likes the same artists and records. If that person loves an album, i buy it. That journalist has the same taste (or bias) as i and so he can guide me, but it may not work for other people. That is the reason why i don't like reviews without the author's name...

I was excited when I read that they rated PES2010 higher than FIFA10... till I found out they also rated PES2009 higher than FIFA09...

i cant see how they could rate it higher-licences,animations,online,leagues,all better in fifa

unless they had the 95% build that that web troll was talking about last weekend haha

I cautiously await the arrival of the demo. That will set in concrete my decision on buying PES 2010 or not. At the moment its still on pre-order. I hope we get two enjoyable football games this year.

Very true. When a game gets unanimous praise, I'll most likely enjoy it. But when a reviewer with my same taste loves a game, then I will definitely love it to.

I haven't played FIFA09 next-gen (PC gamer), but from the videos I saw, it's missing something, gameplay wise. Also the way the ball constantly shifts posession between players is very irritating to watch...

I hope after demo there won't be "oh demo is actually old build" thing of stupid discussions...

Actually I am waiting eagerly the demo. I hope in remaining part of the development process, they "change" the stupid animations. I am not talking about "adding new ones" btw.

damn, another horrible video... the more videos i watch the more the game seems bad and very similar to 2009, incredible how the wings are totally opens every damn game, just through balls to the wing and run! where´s the hell is "teamvision"? or it does not work for wing plays? very disapointing!

Well you can also take the psm3 preview as the game is pretty much like a polished 2009 because they liked that version (which was a polished 2008). So if you didn't like 2009 at all it doesn't look very promising.

Anyone who thinks PES2010 is a polished PES2009 should really reconsider.

PES2010 is the FIRST big step Konami has done with PES eversince PES2-->3. It may not be there yet, but it's WAY bigger than PES3-->4--->5--->6--->PESWE2007--->2008---->2009

PES 2011 will resume the "small refinements" steps, but PES2010 is a big step like nothing Konami has done before.

Speaking of unbiased reviews...anyone remembering IGN review of PES2008....it was 9.something....

pes has been consistently overrated by reviewers because it is familiar gameplay make it easy to appreciate after a short period of time. They should have something like a 2nd review 3 months later...most games will sink then...

I compeletely agree with you.I played pes 2009 demo first time.I said;ooo superb game.But 2 months later,i said;it's boring.I'm still play pes5 everyday and enjoy.But i am playing only 2-3 hours a week pes 2009.

My english is not good,i can not explain and i don't know anything about game devoloping but pes 2009 is too scripted or whatever.Old pes games have got randomness or something like that.I hope,you understand me.:))

My theory is still that the big change in PES will not be until next generation of consoles and this is what most new employees were hired to do. You have to understand that the new FIFA engine was in the making for at least three years before it was used in a FIFA game. Konami is not going to do the same mistake again. And if the new generation of consoles will be out around 2012/1013 then this would be the time to start working on that new engine.

While the new FIFA engine was under development all the FIFA's were pretty much the same but polished I guess, just like PES is now. And then BOOM new PES engine with amazing physics and animation system ;)

Where the hell do you find those big steps? I can't see them, and if this is big steps, then it's time to close the whole thing..

Nothing to do? Lol. Pes fans will always be the same on these stuff lol, drama queens.

The guys on that video don't release the R1 button, the Ai is at Amateur, they don't know how to defend, they don't switch the player (someone set it for semi auto and there you go lol), etc, etc, etc. I clearly see a diferent game there, especially on the ball physics and some small animations.
