What the hell is Bias to wards pacey attackers... :CONF:

I don't get this, I want pace to count on the game not be toned or removed to make it a ping pong match; I want a quick striker or winger gunning past slow or wrong footed defenders...:CURSE:

It plays like FIFA09 in terms of a slower pace, and a better passing game. Not that the ball will shift possession 100 times per second as it bounces off players unrealistically.

Mainly because of the 360° control but seeing it'll be implemented in both and that PES seems to be slower in terms of pace, I'm sure plenty will have both games

No one's allowed to take videos/screenshots from this build, so the only shots people can show are the ones Konami give them.

It's a fine line Nick. We moaned 3 years ago that Henry couldnt out-pace an aged Maldini. I'll skip PES2008 as it didnt even deserve that mention, but PES 2009, players like Messi are just far too quick and elusive. Yes he is one of the worlds best, but even with exaggerated stats, he was way too good.

Fair point, I only poked 2009 with a stick after 2008.
I just fear both EA and Konami have it in for pace.
I can see how it could be an issue on line against a human opponent but against the AI that reacts in some cases telepathically it's important not to dumb it down too much, I still maintain each game should ship with an on line and off line disk, each tweaked to suit it's purpose :D...

I totally agree, who cares who copies who as long as they give us the best game possible then its fine by me, Look Coca-Cola & Pepsi & million other companies world wide, it keeps them in check...

back to the game, I am actually getting eager for gamescon more than ever, cause with what PES 2010 has implemented & more importantly what the modders on this wonderful site can do for the PC version, the game can be once again great, imagine once modders get there hands on the game & figure out the editable nets, weather server, adboards, boots, gloves, stadiums, etc. etc. etc. Also I have a special mod surpirse for all Real Madrid fans like myself that I kept for PES 2010 (I mean the long time fans not ones that jump on the bandwagon cuz of all our new signings, shit I can't imagine how many posers will be using madrid now online!!:CONF:) Its something i think many will appreciate & I am thinking of doing requests depending on the feed back

The pace in PES 2009 isnt really that bad - it is the ability of the players to sprint dribble non stop - when you then couple that with the bad defensive AI -:CURSE: In the instances were you can get a body on Messi type guys then you are ok but that is usually few and far between.

I too welcome the decrease in speed but I hope this is only slight - imo (2009) PS3 was too fast but 360 was a tad sluggish

@ Nick - Konami could just put in gameplay sliders like Madden / NBA 2K so you could tinker your offline experience.

Gotta say though - the leaked list is the fake list is the real list !!! :BY::DANCE: - If all of these things are confirmed and hopefully well implemented then the only things really left to b!tch about in the future are gameplay and AI.

Really hope Konami keeps improving all aspects of the game and dont go back into their cave for the next couple of years.

Yeah, that would work, I hope they both keep pushing the genre, it would be a disaster if either were to give up development, all we need is Licences for all at a decent price now, non of this exclusive crap...

the most intelligent post in the last 20 pages.

it all looks very promising. truly all of it. however i'm not seeing much said about the onfield gameplay at all. a simple video will show me whether it's worth partaking in the offline modes. Online very much depends on whether they've fixed the criminal lag issues.

that said, the new CL online and co-op online cups etc is typical konami. very cool features that the fifa boys seems to not be capable of conceiving (net editor, boot editor etc). it's the fan service we got used to with the old games coming back. modes that can't appear in other games cause they'd be shot down as unimportant enough to make the list of BS features listed on the back of the box. for that i commend konami.

that's a good reason why we need both games

I don't like what IGN is saying, that PES2010 doesn't come close to FIFA's realism... but that it is the much "funner" game.

I agree, the ign preview was all over the place seemed like they were FIFA Fanboys that once were PES FANBOYS but b/c of the last 3 years being rubbish PES titles they are scorned & can't accept that PES is gaining ground, FIFA for me is still stale on the AI aspect yes great in all when playing online or against a friend but when playing CPU it gets very redundant, seems like evrytime you get the ball 10 men from the other team are behind it always leaving the same spaces open & players not making the runs needed, thats my opinion on the matter, while PES is great AI but had problems w/ everything around it,

still waiting on confirmation if Manual Passing is in the game? would be kind of dumb to leave that out, what good would is 360 dribbling be if we can't pass the ball where we want, it was on the supposed "fake" List which is now the "Real" list so kind of curious ,let me know anybody thanks

thats how it has been the last two years... fifa out of the box however is not funner, only when you go manual and like minded players is it fun as shit
