It certainly doesnt make it a bad game, unless you want it to.

If you ask me do I think PES 2009 is a good game then the answer, like I have already written many, many times if you take the time to look, is yes.

Do I feel that the ability to be able to sprint with certain players needs to be addressed so as to ensure a more well rounded, better, more realistic experience ?

Then the answer is yes.

Does the sprint-fest for kids style play that can be adopted if so chosen, massively effect my overall enjoyment of the game ?

Then the answer is no.

Does the Loch Ness Monster really exist ? Erm......I'm not sure, but if pushed ................. probably not.

finally we will find out what the 70% build is like.... on second thoughts i bet it is a vid of torres doing mocap,konami wouldnt want to release a gamplay video before gamescon

I bet it's another piss poor trailer. If it's an official one, you can bet your bottom dollar it will not be of gameplay.

Does the gameplay comprises more than 70%? If not, then why keep mentioning that the game is only at 70%?! Unless they want to give excuses already

I care about gameplay the most and if that's 10% then that's all I need to see.

Edit mode, ML, etc, are secondary, but necessary to make the game whole.

Indeed in the 09 version the keepers aren't that bad, sure there are some situations were their reaction could have been programmed a little bit better (when an attackers comes in angle and you use the Y button (xbox360) for example) but overall they satisfy me...

Yeah please not another wanky trailer that makes you think they have fucked it up again.

Personally they would be better off showing a dozen screens of gameplay from normal veiwing distance.

When they come out they are just awful...

But another problem is that they cant handle balls going in the middle while they are great at shots in the corners...

Too true, anyone that thinks the keepers are good in PES needs specsavers.

The keepers in PES6 back were far superior than the clowns in 09.

They are just plain dumb, so easy to just skip around and they drop shots so easy. I have seen countless times when the keeper saves it, climbs back onto his feet in a sort of daze, has no clue where the ball is (next to his foot) only to allow the striker to poke it in.

The keepers are one of the many flaws in 09.................period:R1

Drives me fuckin nuts. In my BAL it happens regularly. The goalkeeper will drop the ball right next to it and dive over multiple times. Its pathetic.

"One intense lunchtime session of PES 2010 later, and we're seriously considering switching back over from FIFA. Very foot, very ball."

I'm starting to feel the hype, I can't help it. If it actually is good, then please Konami I hope you implement manual controls, I can't live without it anymore.

IGN UK gave PES 2009 7.2 rating and FIFA 09 8.6

VERY interesting comment indeed...

You know the more I look forward to it the more my heart sinks when I remember that, if it is the better game, I can look forward to another year of one top league and one lower-league featuring a mish-mash of teams (before a patch comes out at least), no manager movement etc...

I hope it's brilliant but if it is, a part of me would be so annoyed that PES had "got the crown back" when there's so much left to be done with the non-gameplay bits.

I know that if it's the better game I'll play it anyway, but after a few seasons in the same league I find myself going off the game no matter how good the gameplay is.

I really hope the announcements that are coming are more than just gameplay announcements!

Konami trailers are like LOST episodes. There's a lot of questions but not a single answer, nothing is clear and you end up with the feeling you've been fooled again...

So let's hope it's gameplay-related.

And they gave PES2008 9.2! Not to mention the IGN logo at half time.
I don't mean to be negative but I lost alot of respect for them after that.
