Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Your guess = everyone's fantasy. But then what's left for 2011? :)

the improvements of pes 2010?? i still dont think its gonna be good...from all the news it sound like the game is gonna be rushed, and we all know what happens when something is rushed :BLINK:

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

If they are really adding 360 (even though they're doing it exceptionally late in the development cycle) and improving physics, there's only manual controls left to make me firmly interested again in the series.

I think Konami has reacted to EA too late, and a huge feature like this requires LOTS of time of development. But that's better than nothing and if it is real and it works, it's a good sign for Konami, after 4 years of despising its fan base and degrading the quality of their product. Let's hope it's true and the "contacts" are not messing around with everyone, again.

We don't know how long Konami have been working on 360 degree movement (99% sure that's what it's going to be), do we?

Just because they are announcing it this week doesn't mean they have only just started working on it, and it also doesn't mean they are reacting to EA. Konami may have had this in the pipeline for a long, long time but chose to announce it near Gamescom to create an impact rather than shouting about it months ago like EA. Ok it wasn't in the 50% build from a couple of months back, but this probably answers the question as to what the other 50% is: mainly 360 movement and animations.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I think you are all wrong i think the penguin players will return with 360 movement but this time the penguins are fully licensed!!!

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

If PES 2010 uses endorphin that would be fantastic!

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Your guess = everyone's fantasy. But then what's left for 2011? :)

details, details & details.
e.g.:

-raindrops falling from the nets
-substitution-players warming up interacting with the ball
-shoes flying around
-turf flying around
-mud puddles with water
-one processor only for calculationg the physics of the nets
-sounds when you hit the sandbags :)
-sound traveling depending on camera-position (300m/sec)
-original sound in replays
-showing goals from the last game against this opponent on the beginning of a match
-camera-men evading balls
-ref going to linesman for discussion
-destroyable adboards and waterbuckets
-pressing every button @once for an illegal punch, kick or showing a bird behind the ref's back
-fans throwing objects on the field
-really bad injuries like in real life
-blood
-fans crowding the field after you win a cup
-ball-boys/fans catching the ball and throwing it back
-striking the ball when it is out of bounds
-running along the line using 360° ctrl without going the ball out of bounds ;)

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

All I need now is manager movement and correct league structure in Master League, the ability to play any outfield player in BAL, manual passing on the X/A button and an increase in the amount of players in the online mode. E.g. 5v5 and I would be very happy.

Finally, why does everyone think when EA say something its been in development for ages but when konami do something its plucked from the sky and half-arsed. For all we know this new feature could have been implemented at the time people were play testing the 50% build that could of been from early in the development.

About PES2011... of course there's room for a ton of improvement (till the game looks and plays like the real thing on TV), but I mean if they introduce 4 new BIG things in PES2010 (360 degree, cards, teamplay, endorphin), what big thing is left for 2011 other than 10 vs 10?

I agree with your post, they tried it in the past and seabass didn't like it, so they didn't developed it from scratch just now. I was talking about ADDING IT at this moment of development and blending it with mocap info (done in june, as it seems). It seems a bit late to me to test it well enough. I'm not saying it will be a flop, simply put it's a great feature and the impact must be thoroughly balanced.

About being a reaction to Fifa having 360º, it really is, no matter how you look at it. It doesn't make it worse, it ssimply that if they had this planned from the beggining, they would have said something about it in april-may instead of showing that horrible tactics-oriented video. But considering how bad they are at PR, they may as well have it planned and thought it wouldn't be nice for the fans to know about it.

Anyway, the fact that it's late in the development cycle to test 360 degrees of movement is a FACT. That doesn't mean it's going to be bad, worse or better. It simply points out they are having a lot of work and implementing a lot of things.

Personally, I think it's very good news and, as I said, makes me interested again in the game, as Konami are doing the things we expected to be done at least 3 years ago. And as I said earlier, 360 degrees MUST imply 360 passing and shooting in some "manual" way and forget about scripted passing a little, because if not, it will be really odd having the freedom to move at any degree and having the pass go scripted to another degree.

It's a lot of changes, at the beggining I didn't give much credit to the information because of the chain of improvements it implies, but if it's true, then Konami are changing, finally, the fundamentals of the game, and that would be the best news I've heard in years.

Oh, and even if they rush the game, at least they're doing something remarkable.

that would be the worst news I've heard in years because it could completely ruin the feeling of pes...

Decent AI? A more realistic master league? On-line master league? Better physics? More complex controls to add spin, etc to shots? More animations (by more I mean hundreds)? Pitch degradation? Pitch degradation affecting ball physics? Dynamic weather and lighning? Kits getting dirty? Set piece strategies? Play routines as they have in 2k9 to be casted with cursors? Signature moves for the biggest stars? Better commentators? A better UI that shows realtime information about players, results, etc... during a match?

I could go on and on. Games will never be as realistic as watching a match in tv. We're still so far of that, we may never see it with our own eyes. There's so much complexity to recreate with simple (and not so simple) maths.

The important thing is to have two footie games that work hard to win each other, thus making BOTH of them to push further and further every year.

I agree only if You think about Pes 2008 and 2009.But if You think about Pes 3-6 I totally do not agree.

Yes dude as I said there is tons of room for improvement... just check any suggestion thread. I meant that each year comes with BIG announcements... like this year we have cards, teamplay and 360 movement. Having Endorphin would be overkill... I guess they are saving the physics engine for next year along with 10 vs 10.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Sorry, didn't mean to sound rude! I understand what you say, but for me real AI capable of learning, fro example, would be as big as Endorphine or 360º

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I don't agree with them HAVING to put manual passing for 360 movement to work Drekkard. Yes it would please me and many other people who use it for FIFA but with FIFA 10 90% of the community will play with Assisted passing and the 360 dribbling with only 9% on Semi and 1% on Manual. If it broke the game playing with Assisted passing EA couldn't do it either.

Also I remember earlier (maybe a month back?) Their was a somewhat "Fake" list that came out but apparantly some of them were true and some weren't. Did that have 360 degree movement on their?

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I think it's going to be really funny when it's nothing anywhere near as great as 360 movement, and we're all left dissapointed. Probably like 4 licencesed prem teams or something :)

It's something technical and something that'll supposedly benefit 'everybody.' So you have to think along those lines. This is why i don't think it's anything to do with 'online' or a licensed league/team etc.

It has already been said that the information isn't about licenses.

But with a good edit mode, who cares about licenses ?

The problem for the Premier League isn't the same for Bundesliga : the first is available in the game without clubs real names/logo/kits, whereas the second is just missing.

I think it's funny how you're writing the game off already and you haven't even seen any gameplay footage or even played the demo.

What will be even funnier will be if it turns out to be a great game and you have to eat your words :)). The same goes for everyone.

you basicly described a fanboy LOL. only fanboys dismiss a game without trying it or even seeing it
