I wonder if this handful of youtubers and their strange followers are really the majority of (remaining) PES customers KONAMI should focus on.

In the UK yes we have awesome youtubers and streamers who stream PES to audiences.

Strange followers you say? I didn't see anybody I'd class as strange yesterday at Glasgow

Its been like this for years and the same soft finish goals are there to see. Goalkeepers to me are not an individual entity that they should be with stats and behavioural traits. They serve a purpose but I never feel there is anything I can do to make them close down quicker or save etc its all pre-determined animations. The keepers simply are not programmable to change the outcome of the same generic goals each time.

Dan mentioned poor strength and shielding in his assessment for defenders that again is where Pes feels void of realism as its geared towards ridiculous scores hence why the streamer tournaments end in ridiculous scorelines. I am waiting for the demo like us all but the signs are ominous as always.

just a little small tweak in the collision dept a bit of strength in the shielding dept then the game will be pretty, much elevated.

if Konami can keep this same game and have solid PA filters online they have a great game on theirs hands.

the lads who played E3 code (pesuniverse) were very very happy with the subtle differences of the two codes you could hear em and I went to ask so what do you think lads ...... F******g bang on was one answer I got

tell you what mate your a Manu fan Paul Pogba is a beast on the game so strong

Just a little on the graphics hands down the best looking PES game to date, 4K HDR and PS4 pro's is what we played on yesterday and boy o boy dem graphics ....damn

as the players lined up (national teams) and they sing the national anthem you can see the reflection of the stadium in theirs eyes ..... wow !!

Thank the lord I'm ready 4K HDR tv with a PS4Pro ......boom !!!

Shame Spoonypizza's flight got cancelled so he didn't make it, because he forked out on a 4K HDR capture card ..... not one video has done the game justice in the graphics dept

Could you feed this back to the team @PES_Danielrh It only needs a little tweak and everyone will be happy!

i think its deeper than that. In some of the videos the goalkeeper movement is also unrealistic.

The movement arc doesn't exist, the goalkeeper awareness of oncoming threat seems way off and in some of the GIFs by the solid gold twitter user whose name i fail to remember shows goalkeepers side onto the ball and crossing legs moving across goals.

These may all seem minor but it adds to the realism and positioning thus the feeling when you score a goal to remove "cheapness"

I'm ready .... counting down the days

The goalkeeper stuck to their line is one of those "can't unsee" things, I know that is going to bug the hell out of me now. Quite a few of their recent trailers have had glaring examples of it.

Yeah, absolutely this. Please, the keeper being glued to the goal line is one of the major reasons why lately every goal feels the same. Leave it like that for the online crowd if you want, since they can make him come out on their own, but offline having the forward simply run towards a stucked goalkeeper it's one of the most off-putting, killing immersion things of the game.

Hey Dan - cheers pal. Did Asim or any of the guys listen and feedback to Konami about the tweaks? thats the fine line between good and great with Pes. Hope they listened and we see this come end game release. Take it easy

Two simple things prevent me from enjoying PES.

Offline- No 'newgens' in Master League.
Online- Passing/shooting assistance levels.

Master League has to include 'newgens' in order to be a viable gamemode. It is pathetic that a 16yo Zlatan Ibrahmiovic can appear in your youth team after 1 season. You don't need to make a signing.

As for online, it is impossible to find an all manual opponent, and playing against people who play full assisted or even semi assisted controls is a MAJOR disadvantage and just kills the enjoyment.

These two fundamental issues need to be addressed.

I will be talking about some of the points you raised in your post, on Thursday

@PES_Danielrh So what are the news about regens?

the response was the game is too far gone to do any major changes - this is it and the question was always asked are you happy with what your playing?, do you like it?, any tweaks needed?

Maybe...just maybe...the PA system is back from PES2015?

it's back see you on wednnesday

Man I like PESEP but I cannot watch the game at level 2 assistance. It just frustrates me especially it seems on every video and stream thats what people are playing on. Hopefully someone posts a pass support 1 or manual gameplay

Still to me, my only tweak would be the easyness of the freekicks. By far the most ive scored from a FK.

I really hope they nerfed that, that would be my personal buzzkill if it wasn't.
PES2018 Online beta was ruined for me in that department. I was france and scored 4 fk's per game with Payet. One game I won 6-0 back then and 5 were freekicks. Felt a little bit like that in my playtest. But who knows, have to play more to see the balancing of things more

I saw Curdstar (PESCasual) score a glorious freekick with James Milner against PESMunki, I agree with you that freekicks could do with being toned down a touch.

other than that mate you and I have had a few games (on PES2019) and boy o boy it's a very good game as it stands, what say you?

Oh man I loved it personally. I think its in very good standing this year indeed. Everything feels good in balance and it feels free-er as ever this gen.

The legends even though i dont play with them look nice. I really prefer all the licenses this year to the UCL and UEL. I actually work with Zamorano and It will be interesting to play as him.

@PES_Danielrh thanks for your impressions bruh! You have given me a glimmer of hope to try in the demo, I really hope the AI isnt as dumb and one dimentional as last year. hope Liga Aguila is announced soon

Read through some posts and just watched PES tournament this year, I can definitely say that KONAMI isn't going to make series sim. The final game looks nothing like real life football, it's basically ping pong passing, 1-2 and overhead through spam and see who reacts/switch cursor first and luck on rebound and deflected loose balls.

2019 will keep going that direction I'm sure as it seems they are really pushing the esport element in the series. From the 2019 gameplay footages so far, I get a strong 2018.5 vibe. The changes(I wouldn't even call them improvement as of yet) are pretty minimal as far as I can see. I guess I will just wait for the reviews and more importantly, fan patches out and decide what to do. So far I'm not very optimistic about 2019.

I haven't been able to watch any gameplay video for more than 1 minute at a time. The player who has the ball only moves in 8 directions, and at every direction change it's like the animation is locked and the feet just glide across the field.
Compare any pes 2019 gameplay video with any pes 2014 gameplay video, then answer truthfully which game appears to be 5 year old.

I see your point, PES 2014 has fantastic shirts and kits physics, maybe the best in a football game to date. Some animations look way more realistic, the pace too, but the game was nice (faces was hilarious ) for watching and painful for play if you go deeper.

Is there a stat that dictates how often a goalkeeper comes off his line? Maybe it is something that can be improved by boosting this stat globally. Although I know many stats in modern day PES have no effect. :D
