Yeah, unfortunately PES ruined Drury for me, and now I just can't listen to the man. I cringe so much just hearing his voice. It just doesn't sound natural and reminds me of those overly excited moments caused by how easy the game of PES 2018 is.

He's back for PES 2019, right? I'll have to turn off the commentary for the 2nd year in a row.
PES commentary is horrible, no matter who is behind the mic. Just plain terrible and outdated.

Again there is a No Fouls in pes 2019 . What really happened to this series. Dirty artificial intelligence is intact at all. Fully scripted. It's really embarrassing. This game has gone online. The offline section is completely abandoned. The eighth generation and such problems are really ridiculous.

All feedback given to the Developer team. They did not care. Do feedback come to the Developer team? . The most catastrophic generation of football games was this eighth generation. It's really stupid that we're going to buy this game

Commentary must be the toughest part of creating a sports game, either it gets old real fast,or they don’t have the real feel for it.
My favourite commentators aren’t yapping 24/7 but do it when it’s needed and to lift the game.
They really need to bring in some freshness.
I’d pay a billion to have Dr Steve Brule in Pes 19

Not the commentator's fault, surely.

This colors filters are so bad, looks like f.lux on....why they do this? it's not looking cool or something

What’s worse than the no fouls issue is the fact that offsides are added to free kicks tally and counts in the gks individual stats as a foul, Talking about Konami’s bent approach to solving issues.
Indeed. I don't know how many years this needs feeding back for Konami actually open their ears and listen. It's indefensible.

They know. Who knows when they will do something about it. One day they will bring back referees personalities and they will call it innovative, despite the fact a game old like Pes 4 already had that.

About that, when were several referees introduced with their names and different kinds of refereeing? Was it Pes 4 or earlier?

Lack of fouls, yeah... There´s no reason to understand it really, not even worthy of discussion. Only thing left to take away from this game, is goals. Then we´ll have a proper soccer game with no breaks on the flow of each match.

When did the absence of fouls become a problem in PES, as in which was the last pes that had an okay number of fouls?

I can´t remember exactly wich one had a drastic reduction, but I remember when pes 5 came out, pretty much everyone was upset because the game had too many fouls called. Of course the "hardcore" fans were loving it, but I believe that since then Konami went the no fouls route. For me, it´s the only thing missing to make this game miles better... not perfect, but way better.

How do you guys get no fouls? If I want to force a free kick I can by holding the ball longer in AI half, passing a bit between players, dribble and change the speed/direction while doing it. 1 to 3 max direct free kicks per 10 minute match is possible.

Can record a vid to prove it...

There's a bit of news brewing on Twitter that EA has signed up Valencia to some sort of deal. This isn't really a big deal for me as we are not losing a stadium like we are Dortmund. Nothing we can't correct ourselves in 5 minutes.
Unless they are only allowed 3 La Liga teams and ditched them as they want Real Madrid ;)

I get plenty of fouls in a match and I play 95% offline. Not enough around the edge of the box so I can score a free kick but more than enough in general gameplay. Penalties on the other hand...they're an elusive beast.

Maybe I am too optimistic but I think demo will hit around end of July or start of August. We will have version that not represents full game which was the trigger to buy the game becouse Konami will fix all things in full game :D
Yes, it's too optimistic. I think the demo will release on 10-15 August. One month before the game is released, it's a long time, especially after it comes out for PC too and there will be a lot of mods to add teams, and so on.

Should you have to "force" a free kick? That is kind of the problem, fouls happen in real life whether people want to be fouled or not. In terms of "how" people get no fouls, you could just watch the innumerable 2019 videos that have next to no fouls (or as so often is the case, potential fouls that don't get called). Either a lot of people are playing the game wrong or there is actually something that could be improved here.

August 21 and August 28 both fall on Tuesday.

Releasing the Demo BEFORE Gamescom would make no sense. Many of us would lose interest in Gamescom, videos, interviews, etc and would be too busy playing the game and Tweeting Adam and co about what we don't like. Which would be bad publicity for them at Gamescom.

So, the natural thing to do, would be to release it right after Gamescom, which ends on the 25th - Just 3 days before Tuesday 28th August. But it would be weird having a demo released just 2 days before the full thing is out.

I really don't think it'll be only a couple of days before release. Most likely just after the playtesters are done with it on the "world tour". Asim said in one of the recent interviews that Gamescom will probably have fewer reveals than usual in light of the main release date being so close. So I can imagine that Gamescom will be quite a quiet affair anyway, for PES this year.

The fact that you cannot even watch replays of goals online really diminishes the feeling of success

In the ShoGun interview, Asim describes this as one of the most fed back issues for online play, along with things like having a proper 1&COM filter in Co-op mode. There's still a lack of transparency—he implied—between the dev team and the feedback team, but his impression is that this could get fixed. They certainly know about it.

They should do what Rocket League does where every player has to click a button to skip the replay.

Yeah, that's the model they should use. Can't think it would be hard to implement. Of course, there would be sweaty fuckers online who would make you sit through really crap goal replays (the same who make you sit through an obnoxious celebration sequence and then pause flash to rub it in). But that would be worth the trade-off in the long run, I think.

Another thing they could (should) do is shorten the length of instant replays. I'm convinced replays wouldn't be skipped so quickly if they were more concise in which passage of play they showed.

The thing is, ai will only try and tackle you if they are near you when you’re in possession of the ball. A lot of people seem to play this pinball style of passing whereby the ai is not close enough to try and tackle them, so you won’t see any fouls. I played co op World Cup against Pro ai on 2018 recently and we were fouled about 3 times on average each game by the ai. Still not enough for my liking, but that was based on us holding possession more and not attempting first time passes all the time.

Edit* I also meant to add that I often see the referee allo me to play on after being fouled by the ai, so the foul count would actually be a fair bit higher. No penalties or injuries in 4 seasons of ML is inexcusable though.

I also get at least one foul called each halftime normally, and i got reason to believe the full manual settings i am playing on and its organic inaccurateness are somehow forcing this (player too late, 50:50 balls etc.). But that´s only a part of the problem, as fouls don´t lead to injuries, penaltys or red cards. And these are missing football fundamentals which make PES a substandard experience, no matter how good the core gameplay might be.

It's not like this would be a confusing complaint either or difficult to implement a solution that satisfies all..

It's simple - Allow one replay of the goal that is only skip-able by the goal scorer, just like FIFA.
It's a compromise. At worst the opponent only has to sit through 1 replay and the goal scorer doesn't get it spoiled by having it skipped out of spite.

Although it look a LONG time for EA to implement the one replay system in online due to the frustration it caused where someone would score and MAKE you sit through about 5 cut scenes of unskippable exposition.

Do y´all mean no fouls at all or fouls that haven´t been called by the ref?

Because that´s my problem. I do have fouls in the game, AI tackles, AI pushes, AI slides, but they mostly are getting away with that, which is really a let down, specially in the box.

To me, the amount of is okay, but the ref is way to weak...that´s the problem.

Ref ID is something that´s extremely needed.
