August 21 and August 28 both fall on Tuesday.

Releasing the Demo BEFORE Gamescom would make no sense. Many of us would lose interest in Gamescom, videos, interviews, etc and would be too busy playing the game and Tweeting Adam and co about what we don't like. Which would be bad publicity for them at Gamescom.

So, the natural thing to do, would be to release it right after Gamescom, which ends on the 25th - Just 3 days before Tuesday 28th August. But it would be weird having a demo released just 2 days before the full thing is out.

And that’s my biggest gripe. 2 days before official release sounds weird to me.
But we’ll know soon enough.
As i said, i try to focus on release date and let me be surprised when the demo hits. ;)

It makes more sense to me. Because two days is enough time to get us hyped and love the gameplay. But not long enough to start seeing issues and feeling the annoyances we usually start to detect after a few weeks/a month.
So a lot of people, while still hyped and hot, will buy the game after playing the demo for a day or two.

I won´t buy it day one anyway. KONAMI and their marketing team threw away the last bit of credibility, so i will carefully watch the impressions in forums and watch out for details on player positioning, difficulty level, AI as well as basics like injuries and fouls. As soon as possible i will check the full version regarding improvements or new shortcomings somewhere. If it all seems to be promising, i will consider buying it.

Watching this reminds me that Konami actually had Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and then Neymar... yet PlayerID on those players is barely noticeable. Motion capture of those players could have been used for every game afterwards, right? But no... They really love wasting resources and oppportunities.

I can't really stand the sound of his voice. I don't know why...
I love Martin Tyler's voice though. I watch the EPL games via Torrent streaming even though I could watch them on cable just to listen to his commentary.

Adding some lines won't improve it significantly! I think they need to re-work the commentary.
The names has to fit seamlessly with the rest of the sentences, and timing has to right.
 
There is no atmosphere in PES, especially when you score a goal

The fact that you cannot even watch replays of goals online really diminishes the feeling of success

Should be older editions, Just limit the time to 20 seconds instead. If the opponents quit because they are annoyed it is their loss.
 
Maybe I am too optimistic but I think demo will hit around end of July or start of August. We will have version that not represents full game which was the trigger to buy the game becouse Konami will fix all things in full game :D
 
Yeah, unfortunately PES ruined Drury for me, and now I just can't listen to the man. I cringe so much just hearing his voice. It just doesn't sound natural and reminds me of those overly excited moments caused by how easy the game of PES 2018 is.

He's back for PES 2019, right? I'll have to turn off the commentary for the 2nd year in a row.
