Played the game all day yesterday. Had a lot of fun. I'm not that simulation oriented as some of you folks are here nowadays. My personal background is that i've been playing PES since PES4, Loved PES5/6 and played PES6 til 2011 fully as the PS3/XBOX360 era of games could never compell to me. Really didn't like those, started to quite love PES back in PES2015 onwards and played those games a fair amount of time, Really came back in PES2018 and felt good about the series again and therefore played more then 2000 hours of 2018.

I do find myself to be a gameplay person. Don't really care about presentation, but not that die hard as some of you if that makes sense? To me it has to be a fun loose game of football packed in 10 mins

I don't find myself bad in PES2018, have been hovering around 1000 rating online and in co-op mode we even quit because we kept winning 6/7-0. I always played the default PA1 too. PES2019 was different at every part to me. PA1 was way less assisted and my automatisms never worked, the good old L1 - Triangle was nerfed big time. You cant run past the pitch anymore with this AI. Players really have a weight when changing direction when full sprint one side, and then switch directions 180 degrees, which takes more time for them. Every first touch was wonderfully different and every R2 (Full sprint I use type 2 controls) First touch was way worse, really have to control the ball more. To be fair I had a really hard time on this one, looking forward to be seeing how that evolves when I play the game longer then the 5 hours I got to play. Don't really struggle on Superstar in PES2018 and the passing is way more guided, stronger, ball is way less loose and the dribbling is way easier to me in that game.

Ofcourse these are all my personal opinions, As I said I do am a gameplay guy, I can really spot all kinds of differences in feel as I'm kind of obsessed with gameplay in games. But I notice I find something else in Football games then most of you guys. You can always ask me stuff but once again, These are my views from my standpoint from what I want in a football game and I can't wait for you all to try the demo.

Match vs AI, my first one ever in PES2019.

Hi mate.
3 fouls in HT vs COM, seriously?.
that sounds good

THKS

Thanks for your feedback. Gives some hope.

Could you expand a bit on first touch error? Did you find it different enough than the dull 2018 one? Did you also felt more difference between good and bad player controlling and moving the ball around? If possible, that's something I personally find more urgent even than the passing matter. I don't know, I miss so much in modern games that sweet and pressing sensation of having to carefully weight your stops and ball controls when around your own box specifically with technically bad guys.

Compared to PES2018 I found the first touch a good bit less accurate. It takes some more time for the player to settle in the ball. This all depends on the players stats though, I found the gap between the ratings higher, 60 dribble defenders were definately more sluggish than before and 90+ dribblers definately felt a bigger step up compared to last years stat effectiveness. So did the physical aspect, High physical players pack more punch in battles now but nothing felt OP like in PES2017 where physical heading players were the key to victory. And the fact that the AI presses you from both sides... oh man.. You would have space on the sides and could just dribble around them, and you always had some space on most teams near the box, Between the midfield and the defenders. Every time I took my time getting the ball between defence and midfield. The defence presses you, but new to me was that the Midfielders come in full pressure too from your back.

So its a mix of having a little bit of extra trouble with the first touch, the AI closing you down from midfield AND defence so your gaps close rapidly. And the less assisted PA1 than last year.

Really made me have a harder time, It felt super smooth though and fun to me

Oh man and how easy corner goals were last year, Just as shooting they are WAAAY less powerful and a little bit more floaty. If I might pick one thing that felt to easy to me, and it was my only concern in my first 5 hours. Were the freekicks! The AI absolutely wanted to kill me, they tackle aggressively a good amount of times and I got the best Freekick practise yet, But they felt like PES2018 online beta OP, in that beta I scored 5 Freekicks in 1 match at times as it was way to accurate

I had a lot of fouls in these 5 hours. I have to clarify though. After the latest patches were they increased PES2018 fouls I get a good amount of fouls. I'm partially not in that boat of complaint. I even get penalties against the CPU and I scored a lot of great freekicks in my Master League this year. But the amount of fouls in my 5 hours of testing were more then what I get in PES2018, The biggest thing to me was that the CPU will slide YOU down. Not just on the ball, they can go in hard, really hard. Just like you see in the gameplay video I posted. We had a 2vsCOM match with Liverpool and we kept using Salah on the flanks and they couldnt keep up with him so the COM was just WIPING him on the floor. That was a great new thing to me as that was the thing I missed personally. But make that of what you wish, I see people saying they don't get ANY fouls at all. Its just what I am personally experiencing :)

If they took russian league to properly get us to feel the winter of it and what they are calling as "snow", they've done wrong very wrong.
No russian club stadiums either...not even one. They could've at least used another of their fake stadiums for this trailer, feels like every "trailer" is going to be Konami stadium...Did FIFA get a licence for Rose Park?

And i'm sorry but i need to have fun a bit again:
Look at those pretty "confetti" :DD the whole 10 flakes i counted on screen
FEL527n.png

and now for comparison some pictures of russian league snow less than 2 years ago i could find: https://c8.alamy.com/comp/HBCD29/mo...g-the-otkrytie-arena-pitch-of-snow-HBCD29.jpg
https://cdn.rbth.com/all/2016/11/21/russian_football_premier_league_tass_18569899_b.jpg
i don't know, they've done rain pretty well, why they made "snow" like this...

1player VS SuperStar... old imo

My feeling after yesterday's feedback from. new Code was urghhh... not again Konami... I didn't watch every single Video since embargo lifted, but this Video is superbly. Very good CPU build up with some pass error and 3!!!! fouls. The ball physics, the weight of ball and player and the little animations stand out for me. If you want to see some very nice gift visit the Twitter page from KurosakiCarlos2.

https://mobile.twitter.com/kurosakicarlos2?lang=de

Konami are on a good way and we should be happy to see this little but steady processing. Of course, they make decisions what's never make everyone happy, but they really try. It's very difficult to make every pes fan happy, because every single one like to see things in a football game, which other don't...

OK, sorry my English is not so good, and maybe sentence have a different meaning. But I like this forum and like to talk about the game.

I know one thing bro. You’ve mastered
free-kicks.

It looks good. I am happy. Thanks.

This is when someone tries to play more naturally, instead of just focusing on quick first touch passes all the time. Also being PA1 helps to have a sense of a more realistic match with more misplaced passes. Again, i see no scripting or innatural actions by the CPU,even if it's at Superstar, it's a good sign.

It's both dynamic weather and dynamic time.

The clouds move as time passes meaning the shadowing moves gradually as the game goes on.

PES's are static during gameplay, they just change during the interval.
No, the time of day doesn't change in FIFA, you can only see the cloud shadows moving across the pitch in cloudy weather.

This is someone who wants to play the game like he plays PES2018 (me) And I played tons of superstar matches in PES2018 which I almost always win. But the AI is just way more compact in PES2019 and they pressure you from both sides so I couldnt find gaps. Then I Naturally play more of a waiting game. I didnt force myself to do that, thats just how the game plays. Also because it was my first match versus AI You see me try to tiki taka at times because maybe the CPU only breaks at fast passing football but they just did not. Everything felt more balanced.

I wasn't saying you forced yourself to play like that, i was just saying it's good that there is someone that plays in a natural way instead of forcing quick passes all the time and maximum passing assistance just to score more goals than the opponent.

I wish PA2 and 3 were less assisted but if PA1 is more or less like this it's good enough. But i won't lie, i would like to have less assistance even at PA1.

@103SpooKy Thank you man. Your posts have been very insightful. I appreciate your honesty too about not being obsessed with the simulation side of football games, but more leaning towards having a balanced yet fun game. I feel I'm like that too. I think I missed this part but WHEN did you play it?. Was it yesterday?.

Anyways I hope all this videos have been victims of video recording/streaming speeds and that's why some of them look a lot faster, less heavy and more assisted.

About fouls in 2018 I think the same way. The last time I play it, I think 2 weeks back, I play a world cup and think wow they increase it. Nice that I'm not the only one. I think your personally playstyle can increase or reduce the amount of fouls. Bevor the last patch, if you play tiki taka, because pa1 let you do this, then it just is not possible to get in a tackle. The only way to get fouled is a wrong anticipation of the CPU for.example, you turn in a direction which the CPU algorithm is not programmed (I hope this is the correct explanation of what I mean)

I thought people were complaining about time of day not being properly represented.

Nah. The lighting isn't bad, not in itself.
The problem is what they announced (in the official website AND in the first trailer) not being in the final game.
PES doesn't even have those moving clouds overcasting shadows on the pitch like FIFA. That's very good. I would love to have that on PES. What they have done instead is a cheap representation of what was presented as something much more powerful and dynamic.

thanks for the feedback a pleasure to hear your thoughts after playing. This time next week my turn, can't wait and no doubt we'll talk, share opinions and experiences you've got me excited, I'll be with all the lads who were at Windsor for the E3 code content capture so it would be interesting for me to see how they think the game has come on.

@thombhoy thanks mate.

By definition, the time of day is changing by the movement of the cloud shadows.
Yes, it isn't going dark but it's better than it being static.

RL trailer... Just 3 or 4 real faces

I just read on twitter that there no single stadium from "exclusive" RL league

Hopefully the stadiums will come eventually, I'm looking forward to the new leagues. More leagues the better. On a side note to this particular video how could Konami marketing miss the broken animation only 4 seconds into the video. The left thigh is locked in place whilst the rest of the leg is moving. Should have been fixed.

Im with you on this, and that is why I love the fact that the CPU can also tackle you eradically now because CPU fouls will be more present now for the people that don't come near the opposition due to the passing too!

Im really getting frustrated watching these videos. Superstar, really? It looks like they have nerfed the CPU. I prefer a harcore game, even if its cheated, than an easy game like this. If someone ask for a easier game, there you go. I have played Battletoads, Megaman, Castlevania 3. Today I like Bloodborne, Dark Souls series man. Sorry if Im salty.

Remember this is exhibition and in exhibition mode CPU is always easier than in Master League or Competitions.

Match vs AI, my first one ever in PES2019.

Thanks for sharing SpooKy! After watching your video it gave me a renewed sense of hope. Good to see the Ai making mistakes and conceding fouls by making seemingly desperate challenges. Good job converting your free kick btw!

You know honestly I'm am a little disappointed in a few people here. This video for me shows some people aren't analysing things properly and looking to feed their disgruntlement. This is nothing like the PES German Livestream or the PES NewEra videos. This seems like a better more refined E3 version. Pace in this video is the same as E3, its not manual, its clearly on PA1 and your seeing a number misplaced passes but not manual where every pass is worked, the game finished 1-1 with a penalty which i think should have resulted in a red unless this new rule change thing is actually implemented into PES, i'm not sure'. This game is looking very good and if i can play offline like this i will be more than happy.

@Dennis_87 it seems as if they did what you just asked and there is a giant difference between PA1 and PA3 becuase honestly this video and the the PES Livestream one along with PES NewEra ones showed there is dynamism in this game and there is a giant change with the passing between the settings and thankfully improved upon the last 3 versions.

My only concern now is fouls, that's it, i'll see how this holds up with tactics, passing will only be a problem online in competitive matches for PES League with people using PA3. I could see this from some of the reactions to some of the previous videoshow completely unaware some have been in understanding especially the PES NewEra videos with the Barca vs Liverpool and ARG vs FRA matches. At half time in the ARG vs FRA game, just look at their strategies. it was quite clear what they where doing was carbon copy of how PES League 2018 online was and shouldn't concern you much if your playing offline and paying on Manual or PA1 with mid level teams or what have you.

This is why i thing something i will speak heavily about in regards to feedback is people understand how much awareness they have on the game and their level of ability on it. This is huge for me, this something I've noticed over the years, some people really want a I'm experience but aren't actually really great at the game or play in specific ways and so on so what they define as a sim will be very different to what others want and so on. If anyone remembers Gerd a long time great member here, one thing i really liked about him is his honesty about his level at the game wasn't the best but i really helped understand him all the time from his point of view. I have this feeling that some think wanting a sim experience makes you seem 'better' than those who want an arcadey experience, but the issue is to what level of sim can you handle?

The whole point about PES and FIFA and games is to enjoy the experience and have fun but i get the feeling some people don't know what they want anymore and almost come here to find comfort in others who are also disgruntled rather than find something which they enjoy and suits them. This is the most important thing and i feel this is slowly over time being lost. I think to tackle this we need to be more honest in how we play and what suits me as the individual. PES 2019 wont be for everyone but for future games, not just honest feedback but better understanding in how people play specifically can really help things i feel. I feel many of these people want and are waiting for something to happen and do want a new game to fill that void.
well put klashman69. i'd given you 2 likes if it were possible.
This video really shows improvements.
We don't know the settings but as long as this kind of gameplay can be achieved with the ingame settings i will be pretty satisfied. I also want more fouls if possible, physical play and midfield battles but what i've seen so far ain't bad.
I also agree with your comment about some not knowing what they want. Some don't even know what to look for in a football game.
