Wait for the demo.
cancel pre-order? Its PES -you should NEVER pre-order.
I have never ever canceled a pre order for PES, even if the game is terrible... but something is really bugging me this year... the latest videos are really hard to watch...

What is the benefit of preordering the game before the demo drops? It's not like it's going to sell out everywhere.

I'll be playing the demo for a week or so before deciding. Recently go into PES 2018 and I've been enjoying playing through the master league, might give Myclub a spin depending on what improvements they bring. PES 2018 Myclub was lacking soul.

I know this is not your point but looks like post render effect, not 3D light.
PES can do this if they want to, since they have post render effects likes camera flares, vignettes, etc.

Just curious if I can do something similar in After Effects:

I would have preferred something like what you showed there instead of the 1st Half - 2nd Half sh!t.
At least it adds to the immersion while you're playing. It becomes less monotonous.
Makes me even angrier. They could have gotten away with it so easily. But instead they announced it as a big great new feature, they made a whole trailer about it and then all of a sudden... PFFF! "They didn't have the time to do it right". My theory about them only working on the game from 4 to 6 months gets more and more real.

@Ameppe Yeah ik. I don't like it as well. In the next video there are some inaccurate passes when I tried to play the ball into the box. But in general it's way to assisted.

Trying to find solutions and openings against park the bus. In the last 20 minutes COM played more offensively but it still didn't look like they wanted to win.

Where you there for the E3 build too?

I thought that the OP back heel passes would still be an issue when they announced 'no-look passing' as a 2019 feature.
And the lack of fouls/free kicks, if true, is unforgivable. They need to get the PA1 balance right, and sort out the comp ai or this game will be another soulless experience and trying to play a season of master league a real chore once again. I do not want to pay £40 for a football game that I only play exhibition/versus matches for a few weeks.

Manual is rubbish imo. Iniesta putting lots of balls out for throw ins etc
Football game remember, not point and click
Manual is only rubbish if you're not good it. Current state of assisted passing is rubbish even if you're good at it IMO.
I'd rather have a passing mistake because of me, than perfect pass because of CPU.

Manual is more difficult than assisted.. but manual passing is not that difficult once you get used to it.
If Iniesta is putting lots of ball out for throw ins, then it means that the player is not good at manual yet.

Decent manual players usually complete more than 80% of their passes.
And they mostly pass a lot in possession since they are more patient and are looking for the right opportunity.
They can do quick consecutive one-touch passing too but unlike assisted, it requires skills and it's more satisfying when you scored a goal from it.

Long passes/crossing is satisfying too. Oh Well, that's because I modified my cross/lob button to make it manual even on 0-assist. I modified it so that whenever I press the lob/cross, the Manual(L2) modifier is also pressed. And I disabled the BS early cross, so that L1+ lob doesn't do anything.
Konami is BS, even on manual they still made the cross assisted. Luckily on PC, you can do a lot of modifications.
I've twitted officialpes about the 0-assist cross/lob before the release of pes2017 and pes2018 and everytime they've responded that they'll look into it. If I can modify it quickly, why can't they.

Manual takes time to learn at first. But once you get used it, you'll still be good at it even if you only play a couple of hours a week.
But I get it. Not everyone has the patience or the time to get good at manual. Some people easily get discouraged when they're not seeing their improvements immediately.

RL trailer... Just 3 or 4 real faces

I just read on twitter that there no single stadium from "exclusive" RL league

It's something they could build upon, depending on how long their contract is. Could introduce them next year; I doubt the deal was made long enough ago to do any of that.

Mildly amusing too, as by the sounds of it there won't be any Russian teams in FIFA, including in the Rest of the World section. Considering they'd have up to 12 Russian stadiums already made from the World Cup DLC, it must be a bit of a kick in the nads for FIFA.

This is 2 vs 2 match and to be honest most interesting match from all I saw. Many misplaced passes, very fun and had moments to made you jump from the bed. Maybe not most skilled players but it shows that PA1 is not very assisted for players who don`t want to go full manual :)
P.S I miss those days when you play vs game on same console and push in this case share button to screw the opponent when he had to score just for fun when result isn`t important anymore :D

If Konami would have have implemented anything close to this (what obviously took you a couple of minutes) they would celebrate themselves like they invented the wheel.

I see a few people on social media crying like babies that ALL the Russian stadiums are not in. These are likely the same people that turn a blind eye to the fact that FIFA is the same with EVERY league apart from the Premier League. Yet no-one moans about that...

As for the lack of real faces, i'd expect an overload of them in DLC. Konami have added a load of new teams this year and they are only a small team so DLC is the only way.

...and passes that would normally never reach any player on planet earth (2:40)

0:23 second of the video, the pass that Coutinho did... so assisted that he hit the defender, even though he had all the space in the world to make a perfect pass.

All true, quite often I will forget manual settings are on and not realise till hitting a misplaced pass or shot 70 minutes in.

As for people saying it's difficult, I just don't understand that, I'm not exactly a pro gamer but with a little time and effort you can play the game without the game playing you.

That's just cloudy weather
It's both dynamic weather and dynamic time.

The clouds move as time passes meaning the shadowing moves gradually as the game goes on.

PES's are static during gameplay, they just change during the interval.

i wasnt saying manual passing is that difficult i can hold my own on top player, i am saying it kills what stats there are because it does, and it leads to a more end to end game. Inestia pass stats in real life are almost 90% accurate so a good manual player as you put it is already 10% out compared to real life what about an average one.

Those backheels are killing me (PA1 player here). I didn't expect much from '19 and dont expect much from '20... but I did have a glimmer of hope they'd fix that
Same annoyances from '18 moved to '19... Konami should charge 20 bucks for the new turf and extra leagues (pretty much what modders do on PC).
99.99% sure scripting will still be an issue.

At least we have Beckham, amirite?

Played the game all day yesterday. Had a lot of fun. I'm not that simulation oriented as some of you folks are here nowadays. My personal background is that i've been playing PES since PES4, Loved PES5/6 and played PES6 til 2011 fully as the PS3/XBOX360 era of games could never compell to me. Really didn't like those, started to quite love PES back in PES2015 onwards and played those games a fair amount of time, Really came back in PES2018 and felt good about the series again and therefore played more then 2000 hours of 2018.

I do find myself to be a gameplay person. Don't really care about presentation, but not that die hard as some of you if that makes sense? To me it has to be a fun loose game of football packed in 10 mins

I don't find myself bad in PES2018, have been hovering around 1000 rating online and in co-op mode we even quit because we kept winning 6/7-0. I always played the default PA1 too. PES2019 was different at every part to me. PA1 was way less assisted and my automatisms never worked, the good old L1 - Triangle was nerfed big time. You cant run past the pitch anymore with this AI. Players really have a weight when changing direction when full sprint one side, and then switch directions 180 degrees, which takes more time for them. Every first touch was wonderfully different and every R2 (Full sprint I use type 2 controls) First touch was way worse, really have to control the ball more. To be fair I had a really hard time on this one, looking forward to be seeing how that evolves when I play the game longer then the 5 hours I got to play. Don't really struggle on Superstar in PES2018 and the passing is way more guided, stronger, ball is way less loose and the dribbling is way easier to me in that game.

Ofcourse these are all my personal opinions, As I said I do am a gameplay guy, I can really spot all kinds of differences in feel as I'm kind of obsessed with gameplay in games. But I notice I find something else in Football games then most of you guys. You can always ask me stuff but once again, These are my views from my standpoint from what I want in a football game and I can't wait for you all to try the demo.

Match vs AI, my first one ever in PES2019.

Thanks for your feedback. Gives some hope.

Could you expand a bit on first touch error? Did you find it different enough than the dull 2018 one? Did you also felt more difference between good and bad player controlling and moving the ball around? If possible, that's something I personally find more urgent even than the passing matter. I don't know, I miss so much in modern games that sweet and pressing sensation of having to carefully weight your stops and ball controls when around your own box specifically with technically bad guys.

Not sure I'm reading this correctly but are you saying playing manual leads to a more end to end game than assisted?

If so it's the complete opposite from my experiences.

Someone here was saying that Fifa is having every year the same leagues, but without stadiums.I think the difference is made by the amount number of the generic stadiums Fifa is having. You can easy find a stadium to be similar to the real one. This is why i hope we will have a script for stadiums this year...i just want to create many generic stadiums.Another year without a script will make many of us get bored quiet quick of PES 2019.
