PES 2019 News Discussion Thread (INSULTS/DIGS = INSTANT BAN)

To.me this is pes 2018.5.....as simple as that, sorry but the same game, same handicaps in midfield, too.many interceptions, too fast pace...end to end,you name it...im really disappointed...

@Ameppe Yeah. We weren't sure if we were loosing concentration or our players were. We suddenly constantly lost possesion because of bad passes or ball control. The last ten minutes were like nobody wants the game to be (Ping-pong, too much room in the midfield) but as long it's result of the visable fatigue and leaving your exhausted midfielders and strikers on the pitch I'm fine with it.

I usually use my striker as a support player (in German it's Wandspieler. I don't know the Englisch equivalent) who holds the ball and passes it back to midfielder. In the last minutes it was useless because Milner and Henderson didn't even make it past the halfway-line.

The most visible realistic element he wants them to "fix" it.
In this case I hope his opinion isn't heard because the visable fatigue isn't only about the cramp animation (We had one in about 15 games. I guess that makes more of an appearance in ML).

I too wanted to see more of the visible fatigue or injured players because of fatigue. It's one of those things Pes lacks and that makes it feel sterile. Real football is also about injuries, but in Pes they all seem like indestructible robots. They only suffer injuries in Master League and even then it's never during an actual match. I want to be forced to change the player because he is injured. That is another of those things Pes had back in the days, yellow cross injuries (light injuries) that made the player almost useless and red cross injuries that forced you to make a substitution.

Every year we get hyped about new release only to find myself in total disapointment from what i see.
Schalke vs liverpool, zero fouls in that match, zero....., end to end, etc....there isn t any interceptions that require someone to foul, because there is simply no.midfield battles....i don t know how can people enjoy this kind of gameplay tbh, im trying my best here to be critical, but seriously people, are you watching what i am watching?

I'm actually glad they've done this. If you had dynamic done properly, then with the game time sped up in 10 minute matches, you would literally see the shadows move across the pitch as you play and would be very distracting.

It wouldn't be sped up...don't be silly, games like MGS or GTA or RDR all have dynamic lightning and it moved naturally and in a decent pace. It could've been done easily for PES and optimized for 5-10-20-30 min games.

Now that we know that they've lied, we should push for answers regarding that first trailer. I want to see their explanation behind removing or not adding whats in the trailer.
Unless that cutscene of moving sun is somehow displayed during half time when we move from Day-ish to Night. But what about the weather then? Lol...

some weird blur effect im sure it can be fixed on pc.

This one seems nice. I like the overall look of the games he played. But I’m still concerned about the pass assist in the full game. You know I never understood those people that complain about how passing is hard or not easy, they already have pass assist 2 and 3. So what are they complaining for. Why do we have to suffer for them when they have the options. They can even change the speed of the game, so I don’t understand why Konami listens to them when they clearly have more options to play that way. But we don’t. We want a more loose passing system, more freedom and less scripting. Leave pass assist 1 for us, and let those losers with PA2 and 3. It’s not really that hard to figure out Konami.

This is the best video so far. But, the assistance is terrible, that laser guided header around the 7th minute mark....I mean come on... how is this even fun to play...

Yeah, i noticed that at the end of matches it seems like teams can't think so quick anymore, there is a bit more confusion.

But, again, the same guy that said is extremely happy with the way the game is now (because it's quicker and less realistic) didn't like the stamina being so important. He said the effect is too visible. The most visible realistic element he wants them to "fix" it.

He calls himself a longtime Pes fan, too. This is the kind of people Konami has to please because they are the majority and sadly they won't listen to us.
Man...I seriously feel an urge to go kidnapp and torture this fucking guy!!

The ugly truth is beginning to rear it's ugly head yet again, Thank god the hype machine wasn't as ridiculous as the past years so the downfall should be minimal.

I truly believe that Konami's case is too weak for anyone of us to engage their guys in any discussion as they know how poor their product is as a package, It's not even worth our feedback let alone buying the game (Which I'll do anyways coz I love football).

Carry on....

I cant believe that Konami announce a new stamina system that will have impact on gameplay and match and stuff just to not put on the final version. I cant believe this man. Its just very strange all this reviews. This dont make any sense. Very sorry for the bad english. I getting nervous here. Man...

A quick question for you all. Trying to gauge something here.

PES2011; Would you consider it a sim? or arcade? style game.

Pes 2011 is the only game i end up playing every year (with some mods). It has the most realisting feeling of soccer, the player weight, inertia, momentum are very noticeable and life like.
Shooting is very rewarding meaning that positioning and space have HUGE impact on the outcome.
Ball physics seem little weird, and oldgen animation engine is killing some of the awesomeness.
Graphics are very good even for today standards
All in all, i thin PEs 2011 and 2014 are the only real soccer sims ever released.

The most frustrating part about this assistance thing is that they could so easily please everyone by having so many assistance levels by just making every level work how it should really work so everyone can just choose what they like.
For example,Manual, then PA1 which could be semi manual like 40%-50% more assisted, then PA2 which could be 70%-80% more assisted and then PA3 which could be 100% more assisted.
Hell they could even add PA4 and make it as assisted as it gets if they want.
But why fuck up with PA1 and make it very assisted when you have these other options?
Why neglect a certain group of players who want it less assisted and more realistic just to please another group who want it very assisted when you can please all of them by having so many options?
What's the point of having anything above PA1 if PA1 is already very assisted?
They're just hurting their product saleswise because some people who don't like it so assisted just won't buy it.
Why don't give an option to everyone to play how they like so everyone will buy it and bring you more money?
It's fucking unbelievable that they don't realise that.Seriously these people who make these amateurish mistakes and bullshit decisions should be fired.
If a normal guy can realise this thing, how come some well paid management degree high staff from their headquarters can't?
It's just ridiculous.

Well said, this is absolutely spot on.

Why are we made to suffer when there's no need and everyone could be happy? Konami are ridiculous.

You know honestly I'm am a little disappointed in a few people here. This video for me shows some people aren't analysing things properly and looking to feed their disgruntlement. This is nothing like the PES German Livestream or the PES NewEra videos. This seems like a better more refined E3 version. Pace in this video is the same as E3, its not manual, its clearly on PA1 and your seeing a number misplaced passes but not manual where every pass is worked, the game finished 1-1 with a penalty which i think should have resulted in a red unless this new rule change thing is actually implemented into PES, i'm not sure'. This game is looking very good and if i can play offline like this i will be more than happy.

@Dennis_87 it seems as if they did what you just asked and there is a giant difference between PA1 and PA3 becuase honestly this video and the the PES Livestream one along with PES NewEra ones showed there is dynamism in this game and there is a giant change with the passing between the settings and thankfully improved upon the last 3 versions.

My only concern now is fouls, that's it, i'll see how this holds up with tactics, passing will only be a problem online in competitive matches for PES League with people using PA3. I could see this from some of the reactions to some of the previous videoshow completely unaware some have been in understanding especially the PES NewEra videos with the Barca vs Liverpool and ARG vs FRA matches. At half time in the ARG vs FRA game, just look at their strategies. it was quite clear what they where doing was carbon copy of how PES League 2018 online was and shouldn't concern you much if your playing offline and paying on Manual or PA1 with mid level teams or what have you.

This is why i think something i will speak heavily about in regards to feedback is people understand how much awareness they have on the game and their level of ability on it. This is huge for me, this something I've noticed over the years, some people really want a I'm experience but aren't actually really great at the game or play in specific ways and so on so what they define as a sim will be very different to what others want and so on. If anyone remembers Gerd a long time great member here, one thing i really liked about him is his honesty about his level at the game wasn't the best but i really helped understand him all the time from his point of view. I have this feeling that some think wanting a sim experience makes you seem 'better' than those who want an arcadey experience, but the issue is to what level of sim can you handle?

The whole point about PES and FIFA and games is to enjoy the experience and have fun but i get the feeling some people don't know what they want anymore and almost come here to find comfort in others who are also disgruntled rather than find something which they enjoy and suits them. This is the most important thing and i feel this is slowly over time being lost. I think to tackle this we need to be more honest in how we play and what suits me as the individual. PES 2019 wont be for everyone but for future games, not just honest feedback but better understanding in how people play specifically can really help things i feel. I feel many of these people want and are waiting for something to happen and do want a new game to fill that void.

What are you trying to show us in this video, it looks like two guys that don’t know what the hell they are doing. The first couple seconds we see laser guided passes, E3 build had a better feel to it. It wasn’t as bad, it was promising and I noticed a lot more varied passing touches. You’re telling us all the other videos are bs and this is different? It’s the same. Here it looks like PES 2018, with just better graphics.

Ha, just had a look at my vs COM record and in 426 games I have an average of 0.9 fouls per game! I play 12 minute games. I'd like to see what other people have. I don't know how this couldn't be a focus for 2019.

The thing is that we don't know for sure on what speed and assist settings people are playing in these videos so it can be misleading.
Maybe they play on PA2 or PA3 and that's why it looks more assisted or maybe not and they just made PA1 more assisted again which will be pathetic if it's true.
Also these choppy non 60 fps videos are always look and feel much worse than when you actually play it yourself.
In 2 weeks we will have the demo so only then we'll see for sure.
I don't play manual so i just want a more free and stat based and less on rails PA1.
I really hope they didn't fucked it up as it seems to be the case.

Pes 2011 is the only game i end up playing every year (with some mods). It has the most realisting feeling of soccer, the player weight, inertia, momentum are very noticeable and life like.

Pes 2011 became too easy to master, that was its problem

Man every year someone says the same thing you just said and we end on the wrong end, meaning too assisted pa1, i m afraid about this here

I think unfortunately we're just going to have to accept that we've had our time and now we either make the best of it or don't have a football game. Both games are pushing something that doesn't even resemble football as that's what the younger end of the market want these days. They're not interested in playing a good game of football, they just want to win at any cost and want "exciting games". These people think that exciting is scorelines like 6-5 so that's why we end up with the basketball-esque end to end games.

Those that play on fully assisted I really question why they're bothering playing the game. You might as well put it on CPU vs CPU for all the input you have. I can understand some assistance to passing as it does take time to master but assisted shooting? If you can't even take your own shots then why are you playing? It's like playing Forza and the game doing the steering for you!

More simulation game. Definitely not an arcade for me.

I agree with both of you guys. For me it was a sim. My best PS3 PES game.

But in PES2011 you could backheel all day long, could shoot from anywhere, and could overhead kick/bicycle kick from anywhere outside the box and get it on target. The gamespeed wasn't slow either.

So what makes something a SIM?
The only notable thing about PES2011 was the passing assistance, it's default wasn't very assisted at all, it was almost manual, it was lovely.

Just this minute got a private message (on twitter and it's a long message) but here's a copy of the passing answer

"Yeah only played on PA1 and I was shit with the passing compared to PES2018"

anyway now looking forward to Glasgow

Ok. Not saying his experience is wrong of course but it seems no one else feels this way. Or hopefully all the videos etc are of PA3 but I doubt it, people usually just go with the default setting and then we are in trouble, again...

Passing the Ball around just looks so boring, the Ball slows down way too quick, so everyone has a perfect First Touch

at 2:17 the pass from Rakitic starts like a Rocket, but slows down so Suarez has no trouble controlling it perfectly, even though he is with his back to the ball, and sprinting forward

I hear ya but I'm wondering if it's the way the videos appear and play out on youtube compared to playing the game with a pad in front of a TV.

the lads going to Glasgow I would't say they are sheep, there good guys and want a great PES game like you.

So the youtube compression makes passes from wayward body positions executed by "good guys which want a PES like us" going perfectly from player to player? Must have missed this jump in video technology between E3 and now.
