PES 2019 News Discussion Thread (INSULTS/DIGS = INSTANT BAN)

Regarding pass assistance and shooting, it is definitely strongly connected. Like someone mentioned before, it's all about how much time you have to set your self for shot. With pass assistance on higher lever, you can shoot sooner as you received better pass and don't need to "take you time to control it". It's all connected, pass+pressure of the opponent+your input with the shot.

Which makes it even more unfair online when you want to play football without auto correction on higher pass assistance.

a good way of describing my experience with PA2

Seriously, just give me pes 2018 beta with as much fouls as we 9 and Im fine with that.

It frustrates the hell out of me whenever the pes 2018 beta gameplay comes to my mind because then I realize Konami is 100% capable of producing a very fun game for most of us but its like they dont want it.

I remember there were so many positive comments about the beta all over twitter, people asking to noy change the pace, just to fix button switch lag, but for some reason they fucked up everytning in the end.

Not that the beta was perfect, far from it. Bear in mind it was 1vs1 also, not against the crap, boring Ai they programmed, but I did have very good memories. It was very addicting

I think beta was the pes with the perfect pace and no Ai interference/script, people were punished by their mistakes and vicious

looking forward to hearing your thoughts once the demo arrives I think you'll like it

So , can we expect the demo to be available a day early on PS4 and XBOX ONE through their respective New Zealand stores like previous demos ?

Watching the videos I’m struggling to see a difference from last year, it’s just so open and the same exploits are there, I cannot see what the focus has been for the dev team

Yeah, very much in the same boat. I put it next to a video of PES 2018 last night and the differences looked minimal frankly, save for a few different animations.

Please Lock this thread until demos out. . it’s a load of shit
This thread is full of people trying to tell people who played it they’re wrong.
Some people really need to get out more instead of wanking over every bit of negative video on YouTube.
You can tell WENB has closed down and half the twats are now on here.
See you Thursday.......

Taking a look at the past PES games there is a remarkable track record of "video analyzers" being right and "hands-on playtesters" being wrong regarding the early detection of major flaws or inconsistencies in the game. So i would be very thankful if you could go a little bit more into detail and give a comprehensible explanation why video analyzing and contextual posts regarding the PES gameplay in its current status should be anything worth locking the thread.

Furthermore I doubt naming the majority of users a "twat" will contribute anything positive to the situation, as it makes your post the most offensive one by far i spotted in here for weeks.

Remember these words fellas, release will be different to demo, Konami always find a way to screw things up regardless how close the demo is to release date, 110% confident that will happen, cos if it doesn’t it will be a first, will be hearing a lot on hear saying passing and shooting was a lot free than full release etc.

i agree 100%

OK folks ,I tried last night to make things as simple as possible for everyone to understand. Yesterday at 10:28 PM#3071

The thread will not close just because we have a few people currently antagonising others.

Quite simply this now needs zero tolerance. ONE POST, from ANYBODY that is on a personal level aimed at an individual or a group of individuals,WILL RESULT IN A STRAIGHT BAN.

You all need to think carefully,
"Am I deliberately trolling someone".
"are my posts reasonable"
"Am I taking the thread off topic"
"Am I deliberately continuing an unnecessary flame fight "
"Am I dragging up something the moderators have asked to not be quoted again".

Seriously Chaps, trolling and being a keyboard warrior is easy, but hitting the ban button is easier still.

PS, If we remove a post for any reason, ( usually because Your STILL taking the thread off topic ), dont waste time asking anyone to explain, because the admin & mods decisions are final.

This is truly the last bit of friendly fire from me.

Right now we Pes players know exactly when there is something wrong with the game, just by looking at the videos.

Lack of fouls, too high passing assistance, catch up bug, lack of proper defensive positioning by CPU, scripting or lack of scripting, keepers glued to the goal line. All of these can be seen from a video.

It's time to stop saying "these are just videos, you have to feel the game", those are already big enough flaws with the gameplay and justify the negativity around here. I don't like exaggerations but when there clearly are glaring flaws they should be pointed out and discussed about.

Often said after that the game released is not version played at these events so everything be is positive or negative needs to be taken with pinch of salt

Lets hope fact release is so soon that the demo does indeed play like last years beta and this time stays that way

The amount of space on the flanks in that 2 vs CPU video was unbelievable, what was the defender doing here for example? It doesn't look like second press since he is just ambling forward oblivious to the danger. Neither is it fatigue related because there were many examples earlier in the match too.

Sometimes over-analysing and over-thinking really does take away from the enjoyment of just playing a game. I think I approached PES 2018 the wrong way - watched countless videos pre-release, spent much too much time looking at videos and screenshots of team structures - eventually when the game came out I was almost burnt out before even playing it.

Took a chunky break and then came back to it in the new year and it was great, had a lot of fun playing PES for the last 7 or so months. Looking forward to trying the PES 2019 demo but I don't want to "overplay" the demo before the game is even out - if it's like PES 2018 but an improvement in certain areas then I'm sure I and many, many others will be really happy.

Really really good point you made there!

I haven´t watched the latest videos anymore.
Analyzing and discussing is good, but I mostly overflew that posts.

Gonna try to reset and get my mind fresh the best that I can before trying the demo.

For those who are pissed about the way PES is going year after year. I have an honest and sincere question. Didnt you consider taking a breake?

You're right man. I cared very little for PES for years. With 2015 I had my share of fun. I started 2016, it instantly had a big share of issues, my console broke down and I didn't play for half a year. Eventually ended up getting a PS4 for 2017, but it has not been a satisfying investment. We'll see about 2019, but if it's isn't for me I'll happily move on and do other things.

i&

unfortunetly ?

You see that as a bad thing ?

This was quite possibly the best reason why I found the beta do enjoyable and I had so much wins while playing on manual against assisted players

I didn't understand this comment either. Maybe he didn't mean it like that? But spamming teammate pressure is one of the big issues of poor defense system.

But actually there was still a huge problem with square pressuring in Beta. I think you could just select the GK and let the AI do all the defending and it was super effective.

Something that I have been noticing

If you reallu want to see what is Konami vision on the game, just take a close look at how Cpu AI play and you will understand.

Agree 100%. That's why Super Star AI is such a good indication of how online environment will play out. It reveals the mechanics that ultimately drive the game.

I do agree with what you're saying. I often take long breaks from it, as I tend to favour FIFA for a fair bit of the year but whenever I do play PES again I do enjoy it. The problem for me is that the niggles creep in and before long the issues are just far too much to keep playing. It lacks longevity and fails to give you a reason to want to carry on with it. There's no doubt it can be and is fun but I don't just want it to be fun, I want to feel invested in it. I can have short bursts of fun by playing exhibitions, however I want an immersive ML that gives me a reason to want to keep playing it, rather than just the odd throwaway exhibition matches.

Yea, Master League does nothing for me anymore. It used to over a decade ago, but it's just so bland, boring and unattractive now. It's all make believe. Konami have to do a better job with it. Make it more realistic, enticing, colorful, something...

Offline modes are an afterthought for konami atm. Even Adam Bhatti was quoted that he has to fight for any love to be given to ml. The extra revenue generated by myclub is konami's main focus as we know. I am keeping my expectations pretty low re the demo of pes 2019, hopefully it will be an improvement, but I am still expecting quite a few of the usual fundamentals of the 'beautiful game' to be lacking as has been pointed out in recent game play videos.

Sometimes i am afraid that Konami wrecks offline modes (master league above all) on purpose, so that people switch over to myclub as an act of dispair.

I agree.
In fact, the best way to do that for me will be to play one last game of PES 2018 while I start downloading the demo.
With the same teams. Same conditions.
That's the best way I can think of to be able to truly appreciate any positives and negatives from one version to the other in all aspects.

Exactly. It's like a form of fanaticalism. PES hard-core fans don't just fall out with FIFA players they fall out with each other same time every year. The game is much more enjoyable when you don't read what others hate. Download it , try it, but it (if you like it)

I do agree with you that it's best to play a game without much prejudice.

However for me it was the opposite as you with 2018: Pes 2017 was the first new gen title I truly enjoyed and played the whole year and I was sure I would have liked 2018 even more. I just watched the videos and the impressions superficially, I was already sold. But then the game came out, I tried to enjoy it for a really long time but eventually there was no way for me.

So I think in the end for how much you can analyze or not a game, pad in hand will always be quite different. If it's good (for you) it's good. If it's bad (for me) it's bad.
