and one guy in here pointed out an italian OF with top class bundesliga faces and stats! can't find it anymore. would be nice to relink it here! huge THX folks!

This is the kind of thing you read on the ‘ gaming ‘ sub Reddit. People say ‘ Git Gud’ if you complain about something in their favourite game and it really irks me.

Scripting is rife in master league, simple as that. And it spoils an otherwise amazing game of football.
 
Scripting is is easier to defend because all CPU does to attack whilst in scripting is tiki taka on my box. They stop playing varied. Not sure why PES needs to copy FIFA and introduce scripting even worse than FIFA.
 
Anyone got any tips for crossing? The defenders seem to beat me to the ball pretty much every time, even when I seem to be in a good position.

A lot of people moan in here, but they can also see some positives about this game. Some of them give up after a while, some of them are able to overlook the annoying things and enjoy what they have..
You, on the other hand..
Since the beginning you did not have a single positive thing to say about this game.
All I see is "bullshit", "joke" and "im done with this fucking game", since september.
Its November now.
I wonder...

Scripting in ML is there as always. No more or less.

But have any of you on this forum spend some time playing myClub?
ML scripting is NOTHING compared to scripting/momentum/handicapping in online myClub games.

On other side Online Divisions is mostly fine. Not full scripting free, but ok.

On manual, I try to mix it. I put some in with L1, wich makes them lower, R2, wich makes them high, regular ones or double tap for ground crosses. Look out were the receiver will be and as soon as you press the cross button, try to stear the receiver towards the ball, rounding the defender.
Give it a try. Works even better since the patch!
 
Bought PES19 today after reviews of the gameplay patch and I'm really enjoying it. Seems Konami responded to the backlash and actually did a good job.

Anyone have any links /recommendation's for a decent patch for real kits? I cant find any for PS4.
If there are none do PES18 kits work on PES19 Be grateful for help.
 
Pes18 wont work, pal.
But pesuniverse should have a V3 available for bronze members now. And bronze membership is free. You just need to register.

Nope.

If you look hard enough you will see something. The AI might get boosts on various levels but in no way is the game scripted or clever enough to decide when you will concede etc

My opinion.

No reason why he shouldn't comment (albeit negatively) at this stage - New patch only just came out. Game evolves. People keep playing to see what's improved.

The guy is probably just as much after a perfect footy game as all of us are.

As a PESfan trying to decide whether 2019 is worth a buy, I welcome all comments here.
 
We've never had a perfect football game and we never will. People will always find something to complain about. Modern gamers for ya.
 
Since the patch the Ai plays alot more organically in build up play but the fact that players like Messi, Neymar and Ronaldo don't stand out when controlled by the Ai is hugely disappointing. All the ai are capable of doing is either constantly pass, do a 180 degree turn or get easily dispossessed. Com play styles are almost completely redundant.
 
It's a shame how the AI doesn't fully utilize its player ID or whatever it's called, because it's really sweet to control those players, Salah is a beast for example, weaving him around defenders with just the stick is an absolute joy
 
Scripting exists to some degree but still skills are more important than any scripting.
There are people online who have 80+% of wins.
If scripting was so powerfull they wouldn't be able to have so many wins as the game would fuck them up and ruin their results constantly.But that's not the case.They're still able to have these numbers because they have very good skills.
People who constantly moan about scripting are probably average players who blame the game to make excuses for their fuck ups and failures.Skills are the most important.

There is a border line in this.
I have been moaning about Pes18.
Been moaning about Pes19 too.
Like most of us here I was pointing out all the flaws, flooding them with messages on twitter and facebook. But Ive also seen potential and good things about it. Thats the reason we are all still fighting, right? Because with all the flaws, Pes19 has potential to be a great game. After the last patch gameplay on the pitch is hugely improved and im happy enough to lay low for a while as it is really enjoyable.
Will probably resume my campaign around Pes20 and will skip it, if I dont see big improvements off the pitch and in Master League.

But i cant understand people who have absolutely nothing good to say about the game yet keep playing it for two months.
Is this hatred for show?
I mean - if i hated the game so much i would spare myself the headache and played something else. Its not healthy. Stress is the biggest killer nowadays.

You say you welcome all comments here. And thats fair enough. But if you meet a person who is never happy and always complain, after a while you just dont listen to people like this, coz if tomorrow they got a god damn palace for free, they would moan that grass is not cut right around it.
If you critise something have some valid arguments, dont just throw "joke" and "bullshit" around. Just my opinion.
 
from the videos iv seen playing against the AI doesnt look exciting, well not for me anyways cos all i see is them receiving and not running with it much and passing, i see alot of passing straight to the striker from deep midfield and the obvious to the flanks, iv rarely seen them run with the ball middle of the ground, il wait for next patch and hopefully they can make the AI player ID more obvious, if they can fix that il buy this game.

This about understanding addiction - folks see pictures of fag packets of what smoke does to their health yet they still smoke. Gaming is even worse because its not just a pack of fags in an ugly packet - its so beautifully presented so getting addicted is far easier.

Totally agree BUT I think PES has lots to enjoy but is then let down by frustrating events. A personal example would be building up a strong MyCLub team patiently only to realise that when you try to play online I struggle to find a match (manual filter).

I think this is just pure frustration. Play a game, feel scripted against, let off steam by posting. I did it many times on pesfan. I am a believer of PES scripting elements - PES 2015 was proof enough for me but then 2016 introduced player levels and the script algorithms became harder to work out (which is good).

I'm glad you're all enjoying or getting frustrated PES and posting because I'm basing my gaming decisions around what I read. (If you were ALL enjoying PES, I'd have bought it by now so posts like walex saves me a few quid for the mo).

Maybe walex is on his own personal journey to beating a PES addiction by posting his frustrations.


That's my opinion though.

There is a lot of people here who dont enjoy it and have negative things to say but they are able to provide you with some evidence of explanation.
I personally wouldnt base my decision on people who say "game is shit".
Straight away in my head I have a picture of frustrated child.

Im not defending Pes right now. Im just fighting the corner of constructive conversation.

As for your decision - its not gonna be easy to decide reading through opinions as there is so many various ones.
If you want to chance it and buy it/dont buy it based on opinions, best way would be read through posts of people who you were agreeing with in the past. They have closest mindset and expectations to yours.
Or just post what is it that you expect from that game and we will do our best to tell you how does them things look in Pes19.

I'm frustratring Barca/PSG- boys online, I love it! I have this nice defensive, counter attacking setup with Atalanta who just keep getting me lovely messages from people telling me I'am all kind of different things execpt good at PES. :D

Anyway, I play one match with Atalanta then with a big NT the match after and then back to Atalanta and I gotta say I'am much worse with France or Spain. It's like I depend on the PA much more which makes me less aware and automatic in my play. With Atalanta I just concentrate a lot more when I have the ball (since I have it much less with them) and especially when Papu Gómez has it. ;)

re crossing: I find good crosses while holding L2 + circle. L1 + circle was effective for example if you attack from right to left on the screen, make 2-3 steps to right and execute early cross, scored great goals this way, all were headers! L1 + circle X2 this low crosses work good if you have fast player as a target and they work best on shorter distances when crossing. Really enjoying this game post patch, can`t even look at other game :)
