I think people who know from being on this forum since -06,knows how much I use to love and stand up for this series,but it's no way I can defend this game and it's scripting,worst I've played,perhaps up there with 18 (better with patches though)
It has a lot of potential,but since the most loved mode is unplayable,then what's the point ?
Quick question,how many clean sheets does people have on a ML season?
I'm guessing not more than 1-3 ?

Only with incas dt18 mods (running echo currently) can I manage this. Even then the scripting is otherworldly and has me tearing my hair out the higher my TS goes. The newest cpu "trick" I'm seeing is moving my defenders (rated 80-plus) out of the way and / or automatically turning my defenders' back to the cpu players so they can shoot freely. Top corner goal everytine if course. I'm inspecting this when it happens now (and after I've calmed down) and it happens every single time. I could share the vids but can't be arsed really.

The game gets to this point when your TS gets too high and / or you get too good, which is when the cpu runs out of "options" and will resort to cheating its ass off. This has been in the game for a long time but never so blatant and overt as in the past three years. The problem with this game is that it still has its flashes of brilliance and does things well in other areas on the pitch chief of which is general feel ON the ball. I'd prefer it however, at this point, to just be absolute shit so I can just move on already. I'm too heavily invested in my current ML to just ditch it altogether. Though the February dlc will just likely break my ML save for the third time after which it definitely will be curtains if not before. I am glad fifa seems to be a more than viable alternative this year.

I'm not browsing the site as much these days and when i do a topic like Pes vs Fifa is easier to follow because of less posts..here there are tons of posts and i'm kinda bored reading them all sometimes and also i only play myClub this year so i'm not much into discussing ML scripting etc and most guys here are offline players.
By the way i'm Ribo_10 from wehellas so i'm sure you'll remember me from there also,we talked there sometimes.
Funny that i'm writing here in English to you and not in Greek like there but i guess we have to respect that this is an English site lol.
 
I wonder - our AI team mates behaviour, our defense, our player runs.. are all these scripting and "cheating" to increase challenge? Or is it just underdevelopment of players off the ball?
Most of us agree that Pes ON the ball feels quite solid.
So maybe their focus on online and myClub made them spend last few editions developing only ON the ball moments, purely for online players.
In the meantime they forgot to look after all the other players on the pitch. That would explain player runs, switching, defense and dreadfull player ID for all star players controlled by AI.

Do you use mods? You can't find opponents online with an edited DpFileList.bin.

The game is crying out to miss a year and let them have a 2 year development period for some real change and innovation or alternatively Konami put their hands in their pockets and give the game the proper resources it needs. It should not take 3 months to make a stadium no matter how detailed it is.

I think the Scottish stadiums are ready to go now (with pictures going up etc) but for some reason Konami seem unwilling to deviate from this datapack schedule they have every year which means waiting until February. When it comes to the PR side it just seems Konami are either completely inept or they just don't care what the customers think. Just look at the announcement for the stadiums "Sorry Celtic and Rangers fans,we're going to take the piss a little more but please give us extra cash by buying your teams players in myclub!"

Final point, if you're paying for the licences then bloody use them! If modders can put together proper league presentation rather quickly in their spare time then there's zero reason the development team can't do it. They're never going to match FIFA for Premier League, Bundesliga and La Liga so forget about that and go all out on the leagues you do have. Put in a couple of stadiums per league, chants and proper atmosphere per league, proper presentation. Even decent player likeness would be nice. I don't expect full photo faces for some player in a team fighting relegation in Denmark but the basics such as height, weight, hair colour, ethnicity and basic look would be nice rather than copy and pasting faces because you can't be bothered.
 
Team spirit and player emotions, all names they sorted for scripting. PES already has arrows form man.

O hope next year they improve acumulative fatige, improve stats and get rid of this TS and emotion scripting.

Scripting is completely insane.
I'm not sure it was this bad before the last patch?
Didn't play the game much then,but I remember it being playable.

Something is wrong on your side. There are players in myClub. Lvl 5 and 3.
And I am on PC, on PS4 there are much more.

Check your filter settings..

Also if you are using some patch (not an option file, but custom patch), then that is a problem.

I usually wait about 5 min to find a game.

I'm half way through my master league in championship and sitting 3rd. Using advanced shooting. Last two games I've lost one and drawn one. But last one the their keeper saved what seemed certain goals. 5 yards out low shot but keeper sticks a leg out. Not happened enough to call it scripting but I was fuming

You are right. I have just turned off the game in disgust. I cannot play this anymore I don't think. Just got up in an otherwise fine match against Feyenoord, 1-0 up after many carefully crafted challenges, defending with concentration you name it. Of course the immediately auto-from-kick-off-goal hits me, nothing I can do. Boom free kick for Feyenoord, 50 yards out I shit you not. BAM instant goal. Goodbye match and goodbye PES I think. I'm starting to wonder how anyone can enjoy this steaming pile of scripted shit on Superstar. Professional plays fine but is way too easy.

I've tried SS-TP and professional,all on manual,and it hits you so hard,you can feel the goals coming 5-10 passes before they score, defenders (me) can't reach the ball,always a few meters off,then bang...goal!
It must have become worse,I played 5-6 games before the last patch,and I didn't have this much scripting,think I won 3/5 on SS then.
But now?
Impossible.
Never thought I say that Pes 18 is a much better game,but it is,at least right now.
Hope they patch it back again

LOL, PES PR run a 24 Days of PESmas but can't even get that right either. They stopped at Day 22. Kinda like Konami, 1 step forward and 2 steps back.

Since the first myClub in 2015, waiting on match was always painful.

I don't care when the game is good...Browsing Instagram, 9gag or twitter on the phone while waiting.
For me, 5 min is fine.
Sure, would like it to be instant, but there is not enough players, and that is it.

Sometimes I do reach the ball or the attacker, but most of times I tap the ball and it always end on another CPU players foot. Sometimes this players is so well positioned that he just taps it in. Anyway, sometimes the ball passes through my player legs, sometimes the ball hits my player legs and goes inside the area. Well anyway, its more like about having luck to stop an attack.

About PES 2018, I've already said that. Its not just about better footplanting or better animation transitions. The animations were authentic than ever! I risk to say that it was on pair with its competitor. Dribling were so cool. On PES 2019 the ball is glued to players foot. It was a step back in terms of ball controll. Its like bunch of sunday players mo capted. Ok, on PES 2019 there is some heavy touches and bad trap but that is it. Once you control the ball, you can "yoyos" it around with any player.

I started to see how good Pes 18 was this summer,I've really enjoyed it.
I mainly play FIFA right now cause it's convenient,but I'm planning to return and play Pes 18 much more

I'm of a different view and absolutely despised pes 18. The main thing being no player and team individuality, none whatsoever. Killing for a master league as what's the use of getting players if you can't tell any apart? Ludicrous scripting, even compared to pes 19. I thought it was almost as bad as pes 2008,one I will never ever touch again.

Well its not about some nostalgia feeling about a game that I played 14 years ago . Its about puting both games side by side. I was playing PES 2018 a month ago. PES 18 definently moves better than 19.

Both games stats are almost pointless. Both games are scripted. Some stadiums are beatifull on 2019, but just some. PES 2018 overall looks and moves way better.
 
I'm also on Team Pes 19 tbh! In comparison to Pes 18 it's a much better game for me and a great progress. I think it's the best one since Pes 13 but I only play FUMA online so can't speak for most of the guys in here.
I really like the driblling and think it's a lot better than Pes 18. Someone mentioned that Pes 18 was more free and you could have run in more directions there but to be honest I'm glad they reduced it as it seems that the balance between attacker and defender when tackling seems to be way better and more logical now. I also think that we don't need 360 degree movement. I even think that since they introduced the "360 degree dribbling" everything got worse so I'm cool with the approximately 32 directions (don't know how many there are) now. For me almost everything in Pes 19 is better than before and I was also one of those "the game last year was better"guys a lot of the time in the past.

PS: Pes 18 was the first Pes I skipped and only played the "free to play" version when it came out as it was just a letdown for me.

Ι totally agree with this, that ON the ball movements are absolutely great on PES.For me, in this area was always clearly ahead on Fifa.I think its on of the best aspects of the game.it is like when you have the ball, the other cpu controlled teammates have one of the best offensive AI on the pitch. On the other hand, I feel that the exactly opposite thing applies when you are defending.I feel like my defenders behave a lot of times like amateurs or some idiots with very bad IQ or in other cases they just perform actions like they have been bribed so that cpu can score.The sad thing is that it happens too often and its so clear that it happens when the cpu “must” score. When it’s happening I feel that I know that I have players in my team that took money so the opponent can score. It kills the game. Its cheap & frustrating & I believe that is one of the reasons that a lot of people don’t want to play the game much more. You can do some things (strategy etc) in order to minimize this but in the end you can just reduce this.It was definitely there on 18 & it so emphatic on 19.This issue is very obvious in ML more than any other mode.IMHO is an issue that exist by Konami in order to balance the great lack of individual offensive cpu ID.They feel that without this, probably the cpu wouldn’t be able to score vs an above average human player. It is clear that regarding Offline play the AI must be fixed & then improved dramaticaly.If not, as I see this, there will be less people buying & playing this game not only offline but I feel that it affects on line game mode too
 
On xmas days i always dust off my ps2 and play some old pes games. Amazing how much better they are, despite all the obvious shortcomings in animation.

I just wish the switch would add some old pes games.

I really don't enjoy this pes, it is just off.

yup on the ball, we previously said it is second to none in that regard, the other game comes no where close to this when on the ball, it s the movement on the pitch the whole feeling, the way the ball trajectory is when u cross
 
Current legend spins in MyClub have been insane. Rolled the dice twice and got 88 OVR Nedved and 84 OVR Djorkaeff (who is actually to slow to really be useful, but still...). Pretty happy to have some legends in my team.

Hard to find a decent match in MyClub anyhow, but at least I got some cooler players now.
 
Ok...i like pes a lot since last update. BUT one thing. I have problem scoring headers, specially on corners(not sure i have scored on a single corner since last update).

I know.its been too easy on earlier versions, but now almost impossible. Sometimes i start master league and pick a lower english team and buy tall strong players to be strong on set pieces and a lot of crossing, but now it doesnt matter. I can get crouch and giroud but still dont score any headers. Mostly they dont win in the air against the defenders and if they do, there is no power, just floating towards the goal.

Not a game breaker, but i miss being 1-2 down with 20 min left and bring in a tall striker to put crosses on to cause trouble in defence...score a dirty overtime equalizer on a set piece. It just doesnt happen now.

Is it just me? Or someone got tips how to be more effective?
