and still people are defending the AI programming....

Fouls and injuries were the big issues last year and this was fed back on social media in a big way to the point it has been fixed (in my opinion) in 2019.

I think this years focus should be on attacking ai and goalkeepers closing down one on ones. If it's fed back by enough people, they will listen. You just can't hope to get everything sorted with giant lists of fixes as the need for them to be fixed will be watered down. I know it shouldn't be like this, but they will only fix what people are complaining about the most.

Defending? I see nobody defending the AI issues. Some say they don't notice these problems, but most of us agree CPU is not good in this demo. We also posted examples and videos to show that, gave feedback, etc.

20180814_113707.jpg I had this right now.
Had the animation of the player humping and pulling his leg.
Then this popped up and it says:
"Player complains about pain in his leg.
You should sub him, otherwise his injury could get worse."

Happened in the 86th minute, so nothing happened after that.... Too less of match time I guess, otherwise there might have been a serious injury on him.
He got injury resistance of 1.
20 minute match.

why a pop up?

Could he not just go down and the game gets stopped with the physio coming on?

its just lazy
The pop-up is just for the first time it happens, so that you know the risks of keeping the player on. Calm down.

My bigger concern is, how many games have you played @chiefrocka4real? I feel like it's a lot - in which case, this doesn't happen anywhere near often enough (and if you're the first person to see it - I mean, between everyone on this forum we must have played a thousand games).

But maybe you need a long ML season and already-tired players to see it more often, perhaps I'm being unfair.

It happens relatively frequently to be noticeable - maybe one in three games I've seen it so far? It's usually when I'm playing against a mate who just holds R1 and has gegenpress on the entire game.

Weird, I've not seen it before! Clearly I'm not a sprint/press whore like everyone else... :D

To be fair I've only seen it because one of my mates finger is exclusively glued to the sprint button. I've not had it for any of my own players but I'm usually set at a more defensive level.

I've seen that injury 'pop up' once. Probably played over a hundred 5 minute matches against the A.i in the demo. I'd say it's not frequent enough.

I already saw this the first day, if you remember i also wrote it here. It was Valdivia, who has 1 in Injury Resistance that was injured, then when i replayed many times the match against Colo Colo he was injured another 2-3 times. It probably happens much more frequently to players having low injury resistance.

Yeah, I mentioned it very early on, after about 4 games or so and it was with an AI teammate so nothing to do with me holding down R1! I've probably played a couple of hours every day since the demo came out and I've seen it roughly 4 times happen to Mendy and once or twice with opponent players. In fact last night, it happened to a cpu player and they didn't sub him and he went down properly injured a minute later. I generally play as Fekir and I've gone down holding my leg half a dozen times (a 'regular' injury not the one mentioned above) but have only gone off injured once.

Hopefully as you say Chris, it will be more prevalent in ML.

How many times have i found myself need to reshuffle my team going into a copa del rey encounter after a league match where i would need to play players out of position to cover the midfield, nowhere to be seen the latest iterations, pes 2013 im enjoying now because of the players being ravaged by bad form

i had that in a 5 min demo match! i was suprised and made a screenshot! :)
playing like 20 matches a day... and not a sprinting whore!

I've been here for years lurking in the shadows and now I'd like to share my thoughts on the Demo.
As someone who likes to outplay their opponents and sometimes looks to overcomplicate things when trying to score in both ranking and friendly matches (turned all out online player), I've very pleased with the game. It has that feeling that 2018 beta had on me and I honestly can't wait for the full game.

I've been playing on PA1 since 2014 and sometimes dabbled in FUMA and I agree with the majority who say that PA1 is too assisted. I have played some 30 matches and this is what stands out for me quite a lot. I like to pass the ball around while trying to make and use space and quite often I find myself being in disbelief how the ball is passed to the player to which I haven't wanted to pass at all and this f***s up my attack. I've been using L2 modifier in 2018 too, but I noticed that I am using it quite more often which is for me undoubtedly a proof that it's more assisted then some sources have stated.

This was my favourite match so far:

This has the potential be a great game for us to enjoy an entire year - but then again I'm no longer an offline ML player for years. What I don't like is that the opponents can still sometimes bodycheck you without a foul being called, although there is a difference in foul frequency. I've played 2 matches with each team and I can say that there are lots of differences in player stats regarding dribbling, but not so much in passing and shooting as I'd like. Keepers have some full retard moments and also have some spectacular saves which makes me kinda skeptical. Some people have also mentioned that they are having trouble with headers and this is my problem as well :LMAO:

I've had the most problems playing with Argentina as I have the same problem Sampaoli had - what to do with these players and how to utilise them! :PIG:
Here's my collection on the matches so far with the newest matches on top.

^^ because its an info graphic! like the ones when taking a free or corner kick the first time...
have you played the game yet?
edit: ah, chris got it covered already. :D

sure, animated staff would be welcome! bring back the guys that bring the player off pitch with this "mobile bed thing"!

Still enjoying online demo with no scripting.

Did have a ridiculous game yesterday where my players were tripping over each other and the ball and my opponent was not but i will put that down to plain old lag/ping issues for now rather than momentum

one touch passing does need to be toned down but overall it is very enjoyable game. One moment that i liked was that i was near byline with Perisic and i know he has a very hard shot on him so even though its not a typical goal scoring chance i just smashed it hard as i could at goal, keeper got a save on it but not enough and it trickled along the 6 yard box. Didnt lead to a goal but felt like a moment where realistic ball movement happened.

Nice little detail as Coutinho nods the bouncing ball into the touch, got to be new right?

yeah that was my point. I am aware that it was just to let you know that a player has a knock.

I can bet that its no different each time in ML
and now imagine whats possible here! they should give us "fake" injuries all over the place. name it... leg, hip, shoulder, hand... whatever sounds/looks real!

love the "new(ly added)" contextual stuff... balls off the upper leg droped down to feet, off the chest..., off the head... down to the feet... so much possiblities of touching the ball aka controlling it! good stuff!

Player models may look better in close-up on PS4, but i was talking about the antialiasing in gameplay cam. The grass textures look really prehistoric to me.

I really wonder why they non´t just compare a TV coverage and adapt the looks.

I really miss my past as a pc player in these moments. Would be the first one to download turf packages.
That's a gameplay camera.. Vertical I think.
Even on normal wide cameras, the player models is the same quality as the close-up vertical cam I posted.
The Anti-alias has been improved, the players look a lot smoother even on normal wide cameras.

I believe that even if you put the grass textures from TV and place it in PES. It will still look fake.
The grass on real matches on TV only looks real, because we know it's real.

I think they've done a good job with replicating the grass on TV.
If you take a screenshot of PES2019, and make the image smaller, it will look real.
If you video record your game, it will look real when watched on phone.
If you watch 30 feet from your TV, it will look real.
I think it's because we see lesser details and there's a certain blurriness(i don't the word to use), similar to what you see on real matches on TV.

I've had the injury popup only once too. But I think it's alright. I didn't give much thought to it.
I think in Master League there will be plenty injured players throughout a loaded season when a team participates in many competitions and players get tired a lot. If you have a small squad, of course.

RE turfs: I'm kind of obsessed with turfs myself. Always have been.
I think that if a football game even pretends to look anywhere realistic, this should be their main focus (graphically, of course). As it is the thing you are looking at the most time while playing. Turfs and player models. Then animations.
As far as turfs is concerned, I think they are rather good this year. Better than FIFA at least.

I've seen this pop up once or twice in about 60 5 min games. I've stopped using R1 and X pressure a lot in this demo, so my players not getting nearly as fatigued as how i used to defend. The slower pace of the game has really helped to stop relying on R1 and X. Along with the ai making mistakes passing too, defending is more fun than it's ever been in my opinion.

How often do you see a fresh player get injured from a 90 min match from fitness not that often . I think master league will be it's true test which hopefully I have to make decisions on my players fitness during a season

Try making Your posts without reference to the "other people" every time,Your not sat in a superior group.
No one is blindfolded.

Everyone has valid opinions if You like the game or not.
i didn t say who, i said other people, because the game keeps defended even if the flaws are still there, they worked on fouls but physicality needs more work i believe, as still barging into people can still result in no fouls

Hmmm around 10 to 15 games perhaps, not more.
I'm not a sprinting whore either and I also can't remember him being fouled.
I hope that it's more frequent in ML when u set tired players for every single match.

Here by the way @Chris Davies :
20 mins on professional.
AI was Palmeiras and that should look a bit better than the last image with zero shots.
I tried top player before but there AI has those tiki taka ping pong passing quite often.
Professional is the way to go for me.
