Marked improvement on PES 18. Better shooting, and dribbling. Not without its issues as many have discussed in this forum. Went back to PES 18 as can't stand the 5 minute games. You do notice less variety when going back to PES 18. If you enjoyed it, you'll like this.
I started to like 18 at the end,so a step up from that sounds good.
I'm gonna DL tmw.
It's hard to like modern games now,I've been playing Pes 13 for a few months, loving it.
But I'll try the demo
Thanx mate

Sometimes I wonder if the people who make the game have ever seen a game of football. The goalies staying glued to their line is something you won’t even see in Sunday league.
It’s a huge gamebreaker imo and makes every goal feel the same, if they came out it adds another dimension to scoring a goal where you have to try and out smart the keeper...go round him, lob him, slide it past him early etc.

No worries, I'm the same. Been playing a 2017 patched PES 6 lately.
The modern games just don't have the same character or replayability as the old ones.

Fouls are very much in the game. If Your not on PC and not using Sider 5 by Juce to play 20 min games, You will never see enough in a 5 minute demo.
Believe me, fouls are there.

I agree, even in 5min games I’ve seen enough fouls to know it’s improved from last year.

Also...such a classic dumb Konami move to make it 5min matches, it’s like they go out their way to piss off the fans.

I've had 4 fouls in one half on ps4. I had one immediately after kick off..just ploughed through me

I've noticed Shalke is more aggressive than other teams. Might be a simple chance, but it felt like that to me.
They got a couple of yellow cards too.

Been an issue since probably Pes 14,maybe 15,haven't played 14 enough to say

When the AI decides to make a short corner you can just follow the player and intercept the ball easily. Shouldn't be easy to just do that. Playing on top player. Please feedback this.

Absolutely. Fouls are deffo in the game. I've had more free kicks on the demo than I did pretty much all of PES 2018.

The ease of free kicks may possibly need toning down a little unless I just got very lucky. I scored a hat trick of free kicks with Konoplyanka in 1 game vs Flamengo and I've only had 1 free kick in total which wasn't on target.

Just won a penalty from the the A.i....praise the Lord!!!

I missed it though....

Yes there are , but mainly for the cpu, Konami have still left in "tackles" that in any league in the world would be a straight red card. Its the one your running at the cpu's D getting ready to shoot , defender comes bombing out and launches himself feet first 2 footed lunge , leading with studs up and puts your player up in the air and over the top of the defender, head over heels. You don't even get a foul for them, its play on. Its ridiculous just because the tip of his boot makes contact with the ball before putting your player up in the air in a head over heels flip.

Liverpool(me) v barcelona top player -2 full manual ..awesome game lost 1-0 on both games. Suarez individuality and also Barca as a team really showed. I though no salah movement was good too. Suarez goal was a one 2 outside box then smashed into top corner from edge of area ...such a fun game , feels like the mix is right

Sliding tackle at the byline from the A.i as I was attempting to cross. Great to see as I think I only got one in PES 2018.
Thanks! Seems like you have to do specific things in PES to get a penalty. The one in a million times a got a penalty in 2018 was when I made a spin move in the penalty box. In FIFA (and irl) you can get a penalty just from someone pushing or colliding with you.

I get a good amount of fouls, maybe 3-5 in 5 min. games from the CPU, but I agree that it's annoying that for 3 years or so running they can't implement fouls from front facing tackles with studs!

Much better pace when you play with weaker teams. I just played Schalke - Monaco and the speed of the game was just PERFECT. Everything looked much more realistic than in game Barca - LFC.

I LOVE the standing ovation given to my player after he scored 2 goals and been substituted in 90th min. I'm not sure if it was on previous PESes, but it's fantastic!

4K graphic makes the job. Absolutely nice, standard PES vs 4K PES = Two different games.

I'm liking this game more and more. What you need is a longer match. 5 mins demo is a crap and the only way to test this PES up is to play 10mins half at least, try to play differently, build up the action from the back, then you will enjoy it more. That's what I did and yeah - I bought PES 2018 last year with no many reasons to do so, but this year I became a fan of the PES series again.

And yes - fauls are BACK! Agressive AI playing style is something we needed for a long time. I had over 10 fauls commited by the AI during 10mins half match. Good :-)

Re the 5 min. matches, as others, I suspect they did it to lure people to have some online matches. Other than Konami obviously hoping it will bring more players to Myclub, the upside is that, hopefully, it will also provide them with data to improve online connectivety.

If only they would also implement proper filters:BRICK:

So far, with whatever little experience I've had, this game plays best on Professional/ -1 speed/ PA0. Some animations look really good and there are some that need improvement. There are some that need to go like the player tiltling like a motorbike when turning right or left while running. Keepers are too floaty still. Ball physics are really nice. HDR lighting looks lovely. I haven't played without HDR to compare though, I should. I will keep playing more to form a proper decision whether to buy this game or not.

So far so good though.

I've had issues winning headers as well, but I found that, defensively, it helps to time your header sometimes using super cancel and then keep holding :square:, sort of like it keeps your defender engaged in the action.

I don't know what to do for offensive headers though, as holding :square: will obviously fill up the power bar resulting in the ball going well over goal. I haven't really tried it offensively so it might work there although theoretically it shouldn't...
