PES 2019 Demo Impressions Thread

It's not good at all, cause it is not really enjoyable with that crazy noise on PS4 Pro. I don't like headsets.
 
Didn't notice it last night but this morning my PS4 Pro has been pretty loud too! Glad it's not just mine, maybe it is being pushed to its limits then.

crank the volume up! turn the stereo on! get a 10 meter hdmi cable! get a ps4 pro! mod ps with active cooling! get an ac! move to alaska!
thats all i got. ;)

the summer time (and GOW!!!) turns my ps4 into an airbus jet sometimes. you are not alone. but its not every day and not every game.

Nah, it is a footie. No way I can play god of war without an airplane in my living room. It's not optimalised enough
 
anyone noticed an issue where the pitch will lose focus for a second?? like it will be a sharp picture then for a split second go blurry? I sent my friend over a recorded clip from my ps4 and asked if he could see it and he said yea so its not my TV

Good point. I don't really use my PS4 much since building my new PC, just playing PES on it now because the demo was on the PSN store earlier. Would point to an optimisation issue then.

At the bottom of the screen I noted a bit of a flicker from time to time.

More evidence the demo is poorly optimized...
 
did anyone check on the gras length yet!? i switched between short and normal but could not see any difference in gras lenght. is it just something you "feel" when playing or is it graphically different!? or none!?

I've heard ps4 pros are louder in general. My ps4 slim is a jet while playing gow as well. What ps4 do you have ? And i cant believe the demo is still not out on steam.
 
AWESOME EARLY EVENING LIGHTING!!! AT CAMP NEU!!
Im just confirming what somebody else mentioned earlier (sorry forgot your name), but if you select Camp Neu, RANDOM TIME, Summer/fine, every now and then you get the match which starts at early evening... best looking lighting and turf lighting ive seen so far. Looks amazing. Obviously using some stadium lighting as you can see a hint of floodlight shadows.... and then 2nd half is fully underlight / nighttime… you don't get this often, happened 1 in 5 games for me.. but looks amazing.. this clip obviously doesn't do it justice:

Yes my normal PS4 is really loud when playing the demo. Like you said, way, way louder than God of War even.
I have one of those fan case things that is normally enough to cool the console down enough to stop the fans going crazy, even for God of war, but it didn't touch it for this demo.
It was so loud that I am surprised my wife got any sleep as she was directly above the lounge in the bedroom haha.

Pretty sure that's not true. Not heard anyone mention that, ever! And I know those who beat Legend difficulty without great trouble.

Yeah, I remember a review of FIFA 2018 that he did, and he complained how the CPU redirected his through ball to a player in a better position. He said "you'd never see that in PES". I called him out on that: you see it every day in PES. He denied it. I said PA1 passes are also often random/bizarre. Denied that too. I'm like: Christ, are we playing the same game...?

Almost certain that's in 2018 tbh. Saw it in a replay just last week.

One thing I've noticed, amid all the praise for the pitch texture, is that it's actually not that good. Is nobody seeing these light green blotches all over the pitch? Looks like grass has some sort of fungal infection.

Not a fan of the time limit, but you can at least save the tactical setup in slots, which remain there so long as you don't close the demo. So can do quick rematches with the same tactics applied. Not ideal but it's something

there are save slots for that plus ps4 rest mode! for the time playing the demo... i don't need more! :)

You simply have to choose "Night" and "Summer/fine" for that.

It's also possible to play against friends using the shareplay feature. Some of the guys in my league have been doing that.

I also matched against a mate last night. We chose similar PA filter (both use PA1), Lvl.5 internet filter, and confirmed at same time. Was nearly 2am though, at a time when most of the world didn't yet have the demo. May have helped.

Nice to see you. Good old Cyrax is still playing PES, maybe not as good as in the old days haha, but the demo tasted sweet and I feel like I'm more in control with this version.
 
Sometimes the CPU AI bugs and, or they keep walking around with the ball with no attacking purpuse or, they just walk outside the touch line when pressured. It looks like a very unfinished game.

I am a little surprised you are here since so shortly, I linked often to Evo web at the Dutch forums.
Let's see on what console PES 2019 plays best. I prefer the PC because I have quite a good PC. As soon as the PC version is online I will download it.

I know the site for a long time, but my english is not good enough hahaha. I was not very active with PES last couple of years, so that's why I never took the time to register at evo web. Now I'm back :-)

I really like the demo and pray to god that they will not change the retailversion.
