ok, but until the next patch no one can change that, so i don't understand the purpose of these post. How previous said they already know that.

Well its been about 7 weeks since release now and the game has clicked, or well it clicked about 2 weeks ago after tests with tactics, i really like this game now despite the glaring flaws. This is a proper PES game!
This game really can be special if they fix the Switching and responsiveness bugs which hopefully will free up more fouls, teams still back off too much.
Getting the AI to pressure you has changed since 2017 thats for sure.

@Jimmy G-Force - Have you tried this... Using advanced shooting, aim for the far top corner, hold R2 and give the shot button the very faintest tap you can. You get this sort of chip with more pace than L1 (this one with Beckham);
Just been messing around in training with it for now - you can score some lovely looking goals with them from various positions. From the types of chips you've posted I thought you might like to try this... I don't think you can do this type of shot on either basic or manual shooting.

Seeing announcements like this really pisses me off.
I know it's a separate development team and probably won't affect "our" PES's development, but... It's still money/time that could have gone into a proper football game (i.e. PES).

I understand what you're saying and I agree with it.
But:
1- Developing a football game for Android or iPhones probably requires a lot less resources and effort than a multi-next-gen-platform one.
2- We already have a proper football game and it is called PES. It's flawed but it's still a proper football game! And I'm veeeery confident that after one or two patches we will all be as happy as a cat with two tails!

Chris, maybe games like the one you mention can generate money to invest in "our" Pes, or am i being too naïve?

I’m on advanced shooting too so I’ll definitely mess around with it in training. Looks lovely!

Hey guys, do somebody know when the next patch will come out? Is it true, that the upcoming patch will deal with an increase of fouls in the game?
November but no date is set. More fouls is something that has been confirmed they are looking to increase, but I guess it's a tricky thing that could alter the gameplay in other ways so how it will turn out is written in the stars...
Anyway, hopefully the patch will come with a DLC for the Emirates, The Mestalla, Craven Cottage, more player faces and more real brazilian players...

this is way too overpowered, you can basically score at will from right outside the box, the goalie reacts late every single time and the ball goes in right below the cross bar.

Yes, keepers do seem to react late to this shot but I don't think the success rate of them is high enough to be game breaking really. They often miss the target or are not this accurate, especially under pressure. I don't think I've ever seen an online opponent try one, probably because they are all on basic shooting.
For me the most overpowered shot is the L1 lob, onrushing keepers are always beaten by it with a little dink in 1-on-1s, and it is way too accurate and easy to pull off even when stretching, almost never goes over the bar or wide... A ridiculous number of goals online are scored with them, makes rushing your keeper out completely suicidal and pointless; you are better off switching to them, camping them on the goal line and guessing a side like a penalty.

this one guy was doing it last night to me online, this is why I came here to see if it was being discussed and to my surprise it is. He scored 4 goals with this tactic, he was using Brazil vs me being Juve and he did this lob shot with all kinds of different players, 4 went in but he tried it all game long, even under pressure he would make them or hit the crossbar.

I was using the Euro Classics team in training (Zidane, Beckham, Figo, Bergkamp, Scholes etc.) when I thought to try it out and never felt it was so OP even with those players but maybe you are right...
There could be "sweet spots" where from certain angles it's almost a guaranteed goal. FIFA over the years has been plagued with such goals where finesse shots into the far corner were almost certain goals and most people online would base their entire build-up around getting these specific shots off rather than trying to play football.
Hoping I don't stumble across such things or play against people online abusing it... I quite liked the look of these shots.

One thing that irks me online and I am not sure what a fix would be
When playing online pes strongly favours counter attacking teams. It's been like this for a long time now. I always trying to play the ball around working the ball up slowly with midfielders carrying the ball and strikers into the box.
9/10 times opponents intercept and play a long Throughball outwide or over the top and I go a goal down. PES just doesn't reward methodical football or ball retention just sprint and spam. I feel strikers need to be nerfed in their defensive ability maybe conceding more free kicks.

This has been the case in most football games and it is extremely annoying. I haven't played around with it too much this year but maybe some tinkering with tactics could help out a bit.
In 2011 I found that giving your FBs the CB role, setting up man-marking and using super cancel a lot on defence almost eliminated the threat of the big wide chip through ball-low cross combo everyone seemed to use. Maybe something similar could work this year.

I hear you but then you lose the Fullbacks joining the attack and if you play possesion style FBs staying back limits your attacking options.
98% opponents also use the high press tactic and there is no consequence for this. They will happily pressurise you to kick the ball away for 90mins

Yeah it's not ideal. The midfield and defence don't really work together and intelligently cover for each other so when your FB overlaps then you end up too open to the big LB+Y down that side. With a Ronaldo/Mbappe or whatever other MyClub dream team players people have, you are dead as soon as that ball is played.
The constant sprinting and pressuring is also a problem in pretty much every football game... These guys pressure you with a CPU player and sprint everywhere covering your passing options with no obvious penalty to performance because of fatigue. All forwards pressing like a mix of Vardy and Kuyt on steroids for 90 mins...
Something that pisses me off is when there is a 50/50 between your defender and a forward after one of these long balls, if your guy gets the first touch but the ball ricochets kindly for them, because the game thinks you have 'possession' (until their FW touches the ball) the rest of your team has already stopped dropping back to cover and is completely flat-footed letting them easily run in on goal.

Agree fully. That damn defensive touch to lose the ball does my nut in proper.

1st: Is there no national cups in master league besides world cup? I played a season with newcastle then in august 2018 i also got the job for sweden, expecting to start qualification for euro cup. But all fixtures are just friendlies.
2nd: is there no manual leagues or sections for online play....seems like everything is with assisted passing players

We call that "last man dispossession", that's how 80% of the online goals are scored since 2016. It was much worse in 16 and 17, but still there this year. Players spam L1O for enhanced effect lol. L1O is early cross and defender's reaction to it is even more lacking. It's dumb that L1O can be used anywhere on the field and it becomes a lazer guided pass (always landing on feet or chest, no gradation).
Most manual leagues don't use basic through ball for the same reason, it's far too accurate and defenders don't acknowledge where the ball is until first touch is made.

qualification for EURO 2020 should start in march 2019 (IRL) not in 2018, so during 2018 you should play just friendlies

Reading your posts about online makes me so happy I play fuma for Online Divisions, and YES, you do get to wait a couple of minutes to find a opponent sometimes but for and old man like myself that's not a problem (get to sip on a coffee during that time, perhaps even read a line or two in a book...
