All of you whining about fouls,how many fouls you want in a 10 min match?50?? If there's 2-3-4 fouls in a 10 min match that's realistic enough and that means that if it was 90 min game you would have 18-24 fouls,that's fair enough i think.I play 20 min matches and there is a decent number of opportunities and fouls,only bad thing is there are no injuries.In general the game is great so stop whining and enjoy it and don't forget that they're trying to put the events of a 90 min game in a much less time so do the analogy.It's not so easy to create a perfect football game so think how many hundreds or thousands of things they have to do right.

I bought the game on the first day and until now i got 1 Penalty and 2-3 close range freekicks. In hundred of matches (15 min matches)! The truth is i play a football game without penaltys and freekicks. It's like playing a NBA Game without 3 pointers, nobody would accept that.

We need a good amount of fouls that leads to penaltys and freekicks too. It's an important part of this game!
 
Man o man, I really urge people to start playing Manual and set matchmaking to "similar settings" for Online divisions! Even, hard fought matches with (mostly) like minded people, also very rare that people pick the biggest teams. And now when the cursor switching seems to be fixed it flows so much better. That scene has to grow so that's why I keep repeating myself, sorry. :)

I'd like to have just 1 or 2, as i do not see any fouls at all right now.
So I will continue to whine - as you so eloquently put it - a little longer if you don't mind.

You don't seem to get it . ..I play 20 mins matches and pre patch I was getting 4-5 fouls from the AI . .part of the idea of the patch was to increase fouls and possibly penalties .. . ."increase" . . . it's decreased now to the AI limiting itself to two fouls per match .. .why the fuck would they make the problem worse?
 
I'm happy for the patch (i'm on PC) , they removed reitired and fake players from free market. Competitions are almost ok, 5 english team in CL and Milan in CL preliminary is enough for me.
Bug in Versus, free kick, dumb keeper reaction, hidden standings of PLA/Chilean league have been fixed.
About fouls they are increased, i just catched 3 penalty and a lot of fouls just outside the box. also scoring free kick is a bit more harder. Gameplay seems more fluid, and finally they rearranged the advantage rule in a proper way.
IMO there are different referee with different judgment parameters
DON'T PLAY EXHIBITION, try Versus or tournaments/ML
I agree about more assisted Manual pass.
IA playing style is pretty the same, but the accuracy of the pass has been decreased or the stats have more influence then before .
It's the first year that i'm glad to that :)

Big issues not solved
- the defence line height, totally broken in possession phase
- the too low release fee of the most of players (ML transfers bug)
- numbers of passess succes rate, too high they should decrease that at least of 10%-13%

I dont believe the two fouls limit by the AI thing. Im able to get 4 fouls commited by the AI once (vs psg on SS). Considering how pes work, many factors are to be considered regarding to fouls such as team compactness, pressure/all out def, adv instruction, formation, etc.
 
I´m with Chuny almost 100%, (PC user and full manual), also notice improvement on reponsiveness, ball phisics also bit better more randomles. In my case the change is more noticeable match by match (ML). About fouls, I had motches with more than 8 fouls and others oly two but it depends the way you play, thres is more contact on manual. One more thing (mybe placebo) headers milles milles better, variety of rebounds, height, more real, this is noticeable laso for someone else?.

Guys my post patch experience in an existing ml on pc , i got six fouls committed by the a.i. 3 fouls with in 12 mins in the game. But the a.i. defendse was not up to the mark. Should I start a new ml to experience more changes in gameplay.
 
I think some people don't understand the argument about fouls, it's all well and good saying that in a 10min game you should only expect x amount of fouls, but if in that 10 minute game you see numerous blatant fouls that aren't called as free-kicks then that is a problem. This is why the penalty issue was always much worse then the foul issue because when players enter the penalty area the ref turns into stevie wonder and the most blatant of assaults don't get called as penalties
 
it's an export for PC but is just to show the new legends of DLC 2 (maybe i missed also someone other than Zorc, Heinrich, Riedle and Ricken)

100% agree with you and you pointed it out spot on. It's the clear fouls not being called that cause (me) frustration.
It's not even the nr of fouls, as i agree it varies depending on lots of things. But it's the clear one's that aren't being called.
Especially sucks when you are behind and fighting to draw or win the game, and you keep losing the ball in this way.

Yes and i agree, but was just trying to point out that the ones around the cpu's penalty area are so much more frustrating when not being called. I could even deal with that somewhere in the midfield......oh wait, i couldn't....nevermind. :P
 
I posted a while back Oct 27, 2017#8 that simply asking for more fouls would not suffice,clearly Konami had no tangible feedback or clue where to go with it,except from everyone saying "more fouls".
They are more than capable of going from sublime to ridiculous.
Its clearly a case of be careful what you wish for,or be more specific, or even actually give proper feedback.

It doesn't work this way, you know?

The challenge for the developers is, and it has always been, trying to condense the 90 minutes soccer experience in 10, 15, 20 or whatever it is that the user can realistically play.. what you just said makes no sense at all to me, because then you would have to apply this reasoning to all the rest of the match, so you'd have minimal goal chances (because how many chances you want in a 10 minutes match?), minimal goal scores (because how many goals you want in a 10 minutes match?), minimal plays in the field (because how many.. I think it's clear by now right?).. and we all know this can't be the case.

I just feel everything's a steep mountain to climb for the PES TEAM at KONAMI.
Like... when they have to fix something they take aaaaall the time in the world to start doing it, then they "run tests", then they test it again, and then they say the are testing it before release. How hard can it be to increase, decrease certain values in the code and have the whole staff play 10 matches for a whole week with different teams, under different circumstances, in different modes. Give feedback. Change it if necessary and finally release it?. Don't 2 months and a half seem like an awful lot? And even if the patch is very good (in my eyes) it still didn't achieve to raise the amount of fouls to something that feels representative of real life football.

I was just playing Master League, the AI scored in the first minutes (they were playing at their stadium), I was 0-1 down by half time. After a few minutes into the second half I scored. 1-1. In real life the home team would usually start to pressure more. I scored the 2nd goal, so now I was winning 2-1, again in real life maybe the home team would get a little nervous and start being more aggressive, specially when I had taken the ball from them for so long.

The match ended 3-1 in my favour, with 0 fouls from the AI.

And this is just an example. It happened in many more games.
You do get some fouls with the new patch, but they are so very sporadic.

I understand what you're saying but wouldn't it be also unrealistic to have 10-12 fouls in a 10-15 min game?That would mean that every 1 min there would be a foul and would break the flow of the game and players would look like ninjas.It's very difficult to sim a 90 min match in so little time that's why there is this foul issue but i think 5-6 fouls in a 15 min game is fair enough.It also depends on how you play to win them,if you keep the ball and try personal attempts or if you constantly passing then how you expect to win fouls?

I just noticed that latest released data pack.2, is referred as "Legends Vol.1" so i suppose that there will be for sure at least Vol.2 later this season !

I felt the game much better after the patch. The players are more free, more light, better to dribble, shielding the ball. The game now looks like the demo, witch i loved.
 
Even referees are trying to help with the broken fouls mechanism :D

That's a biased ref losing it . .he supports the other team.
What's happening is he's finally lost the plot - "there is NO POINT IN ME BEING HERE, you fuckers NEVER foul each other, I'LL FOUL YOU, COME HERE, FOUL FOUL FOUL! GIVE ME A REASON TO EXIST! WHY WAS I CREATED?!"
