I think my game is bugged. I have yet to see a match where a team had less than 95% passing completion rate however I have also yet to lose. The only time I can recover the ball is when closing down a CPU player or a CPU player is taking a bad touch. Yet to intercept a pass so far.

Just played a match on Superstar vs Dortmund as River, match ended 6-6. You would think that it was an exciting affair, it was anything but to be honest, a comedy of errors combined with some shocking positioning. Will report back if I can get another match in.

Try it,sounds weird having a CPU on 95% passing,that's Fifa 16 figures
I've experienced manual getting the cpu lower in % than on PA1-3, ball is a bit looser hen playing manual.
Haven't really tried it on 18,since I've played manual since game one,but works on 17

This game is fucking great.

I lost 2 won 1 so far couldn't get a shot on target first 2 games because Inters defensive ouwldnt allow many openings.

I love that you can't juts run into a loose ball out wide and swing it in with gay abandon. If your body positioning is not right the player plays a very weak cross.

This is on basic pass setting 1

AI on top difficulty averages a free kick per game against me so far and around 80% pass accuracy.

They can be quite tricky with the ball so you need to be wise in defence

im not impressed with how much possession i can have playing liverpool vs barcelona, i have 75 % possession of the ball, that is totally unrealistic, or i need to start to play manual....

i don't think it's overpowered it's good strike but these accurate strikes are the normal rather then occasional...

yup this is what is ruining the satisfaction, these shots should definitely not be the norm.

Had 6 games all Inter Vs Colo Colo.
1.I need to learn how to defend properly

2 shooting feels better than 17,not much but slightly better,I was taking weaker shots from the outside,low!

3 movement and CPU reactions to that,great,really enjoyed making a quick feint and getting a few meters,very responsive.

4 looks,has been said a lot already,like it.
5 it's a demo, therefore,lacks intensity,and a nasty edge to it, hopefully it gets that with the full release,tactics/contra tactics/scripting etc etc.
6 really like how the ball moves on the pitch,really life-like

To me it's tough playing this one since enjoy my ML to much on 17,were I get what this one lacks.
Didn't play the 17 demo much either.
Good demo though
Btw,watching Chile v Paraguay atm,have to say,just by watching this,and watching the demo,looks really authentic, lightning,how the game flows etc

17 demo had slower pace, and then full release 17 had faster pace, i hope they keep the pace as it is with 18 demo

The more I am playing it, I feel the more it´s growing on me.

Had a screamer with Coutinho on full manual....nice shot in the left bottom corner.

Shot felt great. Scoring it felt great.

I only had time for three games...gonna play more.

Oh and that advice from someone here (forgot who it was) adjusting brightness ingame...makes the game look so much better. I put brightness down to 27....looks much better!

Had a little shareplay session either. With a good connection it runs smooth, but of course you won´t have the same visuals as playing it directly .

With all the flaws i still love how the game flows, the pace is superb hope it stays like this, hope u like my wjnaldum goal, u can see it at the end

The player runs to the ball, could have easily taken it, but letting it roll over the line.

I really can live with most of the flaws, but everytime this shit happens, I have to mumble "Woooozaaaa" to calm down!
Similar thing happens with the passing....it´s like the player decides in the last second "Oh no....that ball wasn´t meant for me"

I believe that some difficulty levels are kind of fucking things up that´s why I mostly stay with professional and full manual.

Btw, what game speed are you all playing with?
I´m on -1 but I believe that one thing in this game:
Like a clockwork, if you set one thing....another things are influenced as well...call me crazy but I believe that several specific settings change the game so much....that´s why we probably have so many different impressions.

Professional, -1, wide cam 0,4,10, full manual....those are mine

If anyone interested check out The True Brits in game analysis of Barca vs Liverpool - he was playing as the latter. To summarise he thinks the criticism stems from tactics being locked in the demo, and this forces people to play in a way they normally do.

I'm personally enjoying this now, the more I play. But there are a few niggles that I hope can be tweaked. Teams have their differences and some are pacier than others. I enjoyed the beta too.

So I have to give them my money first to demo the attacking and defensive instructions. Lovely.

I have to say adv shooting is nice, sure, half of the time I don't know what the hell I'm doing but it has some "feel" to it anyway. Had a lovely dipping half-volley shoot with Pulisic yesterday that like wobbled mid air and just brushed the bar. Felt like the good old days that.

All they have to do is simply make every stat really matter, and a lot will be solved.

Yeh buddy Superstar full manual o speed. . it happened again after that and Messi nearly scored again a bit of a worry.

I think there's a problem with cursor player switching that needs to be addressed. ..the ball approaching players and the cursor suddenly switches and leaves players watching the ball and doing nothing. . . happens in defense and attack. Really enjoying the demo though.

The way teams are set up is not helping I was beating Liverpool 1 nil at HT with Colo and pretty easily on superstar so I switched sides and adjusted a few things in their tactics removed deep defensive line switched coutinho to AM in possession Henderson to DM out of possession and then played the 2nd half Liverpool beat me 3-2 it was better at least but I still was given a free run on goal where they all back away like Decos video

The animations overall are the best in any PES game to date in my opinion so many nice additions like the GK overhead throw with both hands or the outside of the foot lazy style pass

yeah i agree abo 4:05, this sht continues to happen but i might overlook these details if they fix the shooting and the fouls and the positioning, this game can be great.

Tried wing back on adv instruction and set dmf to cmf on out of possession for both team so that the winger will track back and cmf will stay on the midfield. I found that less space is left with this settings. Feel free to try

They win like 7-1, 4-0 etc etc.

On Superstar most teams must be pressing hardcore and leave gaps.
That´s what´s probably fucked up with it.

I never play on Superstar....did once because of a myclub challenge and didn´t like it at all.

My sweet spot is Professional, Full manual.

With regards to the positioning problem. It's clear to see it's a beta bug, due to how obvious it is. It will be fixed by launch day. I'm sure.

I leave brightness at 50 and contrast up to 59. daytime looks amazing and nighttime does look really vibrant.

Hey, haven't been here for a long while. Had a lot to read...

Played the game for 2 hours or so, had a nice chance to try most teams...and here's my short view (Superstar, 10mins, lvl 1 pass)

+ The game feels great, the player responsiveness, movement, passing, shooting feels quite nice. Haven't had a great screamer in yet, but will keep on trying
+ Defense plays nicely too. Not too many ways to exploit this so far, neither speed, crosses or pass and run tactics worked for every game/opponent which is good
+ Nice touches with the presentation with stats and such, stadiums, graphics, all look great as you'd expect

- The goalies do seem a little slow. It's hard to say, its a feeling tat I have. Played against Argentina and Messi went deked my defender, when in and curled a left foot shot onto the far corner. Nothing much wrong with that, Messi does it, and after 3-4 games against Messi, only 1 of these went in, so its not too bad, and on reply, it feels right, but during that shot, I just had a feeling that the gk moved slower than normal to his right and jump. Kind of felt like a cheap goal...Other times, the goalie does still seem to be the weakest link though..
- Like the new free kick styles and strategies, but its kind of hard to implement, maybe I just need more practice
- Biggest problem I've had is I've been able to use my winger, deke the full back and run/walk right into the 6 yard box from the side and fire a free shot in without any defenders coming at me. This is a huge problem as I basically just went for a freebie and if the goalie saved it, then i got a free rebound. Hope its only a tactical thing, but I did it a few times in the games with different teams
- Defender's reaction time to loose balls are slow. By the time the ball comes to them and I change my cursor onto them, they must take one more touch before they clear the ball. Or they stumble before running at the free ball. This gives time for the opposing player to jump in at the loose ball or my defender, steal it and shoot it in. Had 2-3 of those against me already and feels foolish as the defender could've and should've just cleared it first time.

This is a whole different game played with Manual Passing Advanced Through Balls and Advanced Shooting. You can't say the game is too easy if you're playing the game with training wheels.

What is this?
The DEFAULT settings are with basic assistance set to on, like every previous classic PES. Why should anyone be forced to play everything manual? That's just a lazy get out of jail card for Konami.

I see too many goals like that. I've scored too many straight and true goals with a tonne of power by simply tapping shoot. Disappointing doesn't begin to cover how I feel from playing the demo.

I had the chance to play only one game yesterday, so not able to conclude on the pros-cons of the game.
However i am sure that the pace is at the same level as in Beta version.
I played Brazil(me) vs Germany, in top player, advanced shouting, Pass assistance 0, cursor switch semi-assisted
and i lost 0-3.
I am almost sure that it is more difficult than pes 2017, which is great for me !
My first feelings for the game are positive !
I will revert though with more feedback as soon as i play more.

There can be something else causing this problem: Some time ago somebody quoted Bhatty as saying that the demo is made by another programming group then the group who made the retail version.
Does any of you have a link about that? I can't remember the source anymore...
