PES 2017 PlayStation & Xbox Discussion Thread

Agree.. now the biggest problem for me with PES 2017 is awful looking sprinting/running/dribbling and this is the core of the game.

I disagree.

The core of the game is not running it is everything that binds it together to make an enjoyable/fun experience. I understand the need for lifelike movement but it is a video game. For it to all work fluidly, somethings have to be compromised.....ok they can certainly improve it but I think it's more accepting that condensing a 90 minute game into 5-20minutes is never going to replicate the real life movements of human beings.

Do they release a new update for the 2017 comp (starting in February 2017)? My local team Adelaide United has once again qualified but the teams showed in that list are from the comp that started in February 2016. I seem to recall they've released a new comp update for the Libertadores during the year but I haven't owned the last couple of PES games so I don't know if they do a comp update for the ACL.
No, they don't do that.

i don't know if the running is bad looking, just dribbling looks robotic
As I wrote in my previous post, I think much of the problem revolves around two tightly related elements: authentic body kinetics and proper foot-planting. I'm not a programmer, software engineer, animator, or similar, so I don't really know how distant we are from achieving these things, but I would imagine they must be somewhat hard to develop correctly or otherwise games would probably already feature them. Based on my non-expert understanding of things, dynamic motion synthesis seems the most logical route to the objective. This might very well entail investing time and resources into R&D, but the end product would definitely be worth it from a gaming/visual perspective. Whether or not it is also feasible from a financial standpoint, that I cannot say unfortunately!

This info annoyes me:

"Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. proudly announces that it has signed an Exclusive Official Partnership contract with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).

The Pro Evolution Soccer series will be provide the experience of "Campeonato Brasileiro", the domestic league in one of the top football powerhouses in the world.

Through this agreement, PES 2017 -Pro Evolution Soccer 2017- (scheduled for released on 13th September in North, Central and South America, and globally on 15th September 2016) will include the 20 clubs in Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A, and the kits of all clubs. This will be the fifth title in the series to include the 20 teams and kits."

If I'm Reading this correctly it won't (like it has been the last years) have all the players, some teams will still be fake. This is annoying cos I like to play with these teams online so u can't edit it then. In PES 2016 Fluminense, Atlético Paranaense were completely fake and Santos had some real, some fake and some completely missing. I understand that it probably is different deals (players and League) they have to do but when reading that they have the brazilian League exclusive u get the impressions it's Everything.

Note that I don't know if there are som fake players this year as well but I fear the worst...

stats/names > kits > stadiums > balls > boots!! :)

Pretty much this. I couldn't care less about boots, or balls to be honest. Just give me great, challenging game-play with the right names and kits.

I once read online someone complaining that a few players in a much older PES had haircuts that didn't reflect real life, and they were disgusted by it. I mean....REALLY!!??

Here it is guys! My PES2017 trailer. used to make all kinds of vids like these back in the old days and most are not even on Youtube due to copyright claims. But PES has this magic around it this year. So just had to make something!

The PES Feeling!!

That's brilliant Spooky!
