PES 2017 - PC Version Discussion Thread

Hello,

Wondering if anyone can help me clear something up. A group of mates have been discussing going back to an older format if PES and we picked 2017.

We have a league going with our own original teams and to cut a long story short, I am having issues trying to import kits in the edit kit screen, I thought this could be done with this format

But it looks like I can only import Front, Back images etc. Like this one,

Am I going mad? I am finding it hard to get a difinitive answer looking online but I could have sworn the first option was doable on PES17, did that come in on later versions?

Any help would be greatly aopreciated, even if there is a way to get the first option into the game. Thank you.

Are you using sider? If so, try starting the game without sider and applying the kits to the team. I remember I had a similar issue once with PES 2021.

Thanks. Would sider be enabled in a fresh install or is it something that comes with a patch? Sorry, I am not brilliant with the technical side of things, I knew how to make kits once upon a time.

I really like this gameplay mod, which is basically PES 2017's vanilla with more passing errors, made by Sensei @Holland, plus a customized dt18 that I found online. I think it gives the gameplay a very realistic, random feeling, based on the vanilla gameplay which I think is really fun.
In reality, I don't mind the more old school feel of the graphics at all compared to console versions, IMO, I think the patches and other features more than make up for it.
Plus there's a great South American community of patches which is definitely alive and growing..
All in all, one of my favorite editions of all time! :TU:

That's good news, Vs the vanilla console version the pc version has way to high passing% for the CPU
This must be pretty much the same mod I use on Pes 21, also made by @Holland

Hey there! Sider is an add-on that kind of works like a program which enables to add many different kinds of mods to the game.. You download it separately.. A fresh install of PES 2017 will not include sider! :TU:

Let me know if you have any other questions.. Hope you can paste your kits!

Thank you very much for the info. I have played about with it more and removed everything from my pc and put a fresh instal of the game in. No sign of sider and its still not accepting kit templates just paste's the whole image onto the front of a shirt. It is so strange and I dont get it :LMAO:
 
Pes 2017 dont support import png files, you need to import it into cpk files. Im sure there's guide somewhere on youtube
 
Another question or statement/just wondering.
Ive been off and on my PES 17 PC version, and since i also play it (daily) on Xbox , theres a lot of differences (at least to me).
Goalkeepers...
And no im not confusing this with PES 16, but the are really crap vs the console version.
Im playing the same settings on both platforms, but theres a huge difference, Xbox having what we have on all other pes games, that is, good, sometimes OP goalkeepers, but here, pretty much PES 16 standard.
Anyone else?

That's quite odd bro. I play SS, PA1 in PES 2017 PC and I've never noticed particularly bad goalkeepers. In fact, I've always found them to be a huge upgrade (big difference) over PES 2016's goalkeepers, which were notoriously flawed. But 2017's always seemed fine to me.

Weird as hell, patch/mod maybe?
 
I also think default PES 2017 GK's are huge upgrade from 2016, I find them balanced (non-modded). 2016 GK's are really terrible and FIFA GK's are way too good and unrealistic.

Way better than 16, but since i go back and forth between PC and xbox pes 2017, theres a big difference between goakeepers between them, lots more gal scored, and easy ones as wel
