No !

look what the Fox Engine can do (47:10)

Yes, that is far more superior.
I wanted to say that Bethesda did it ten years ago. They also did it in Morrowind era.
Can you imagine PES with this? Small thing with huge immersion effect. Not to mention Euphoria Engine for collision, shooting and passing, or that AI example for Master League…
It is really sad what KONAMI is doing with PES right now…

Didn't Adam say in that interview with Asim that they still haven't really got much of a grasp on the Fox engine. So obviously the potential is there, if the staff are talented enough to exploit it. Maybe they are but there's a steep learning curve. Time will tell.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2016
"Best game I didn’t care about at all before the start of the show"

Awarded by: Tim Clark

Having been weaned on lunchtime PES sessions by my peers when I started writing about games for a living, a few years ago most of us did the previously unthinkable and switched to FIFA. In football terms, it was the equivalent of ‘crossing the City’ to play for a hated rival. Collectively, we did a Sol Campbell, and I doubt many beyond the Konami ultra apologists ever looked back. EA always had the licensing clout to get all the clubs, and for the best part of a console generation they also had the better game too. But last year’s model didn’t offer much in the way of substantial improvements beyond slightly better grass. So it was with some interest I took an appointment to try the new PES. Two things to note: 1) It plays a lot like FIFA. 2) It arguably feels better across the board. I had a greater sensation of being in control, able to beat men, and crack off shots without the heavy, chewiness that still bedevils FIFA. In short: a surprise, and assuming the community can ‘fix’ the kit issues quickly, I think this could be the year I finally switch back. Like the giant fairweather Judas I most definitely am.

PCgamers awared the game by playing PS4 version ? :LMAO:

Online requests :
-fix the lag
-fix the player switching on defense
-make the game responsive like offline
-more camera options / zoom
-make the team selection after being paired with the opponent so both players could determine who to use accordingly. I hate picking France or Italy and the other guy has Real. And not being able to change to a club team.

Fox Engine is a joke for PES !

In my opinion they don't use Fox in Pes. They lying.:BLEH: When the game is begining it's not exist Fox Engine logo;) like in Metal Gear of Solid. They use Havok Engine. Fox in Pes exist only with faces, rain and lighting. That's why we see shit grapihics in Pes because they don't use Fox Engine:BLEH:

They never said they're using Fox Engine for physics. They said they're using Havok for that and Fox Engine only for things like light or whatever. There's no lie.

nice review. still worried that R2 shooting now considered as weak by those who didnt find R2 shooting in 2015 overpowered. i hope PP dont rely on them entirely

Ok it's not lie but half true about using Fox Engine in Pes:COOL: becuse engine means much, much more than light etc
Right... you go off on an uninformed rant, Lami clarifies the actual facts for you, but somehow Konami is still to blame. The anti-Konami garbage some of you spew in this forum is ridiculous.

What is so 'garbage' about this? I find it rather good. Maybe he talked about too few topics, but what he did say was good, I think.

Decent podcast on PES2016 by 2 guys who played it at E3, they talk about the things that they didn't like and areas for improvement: http://8bitplayground.com/2015/06/21/pes-2016-full-e3-impressions/
Yes, this is worth listening. Especially what they said about defending made me happy ( about 14.40-20.10 minutes ). For instance, they said the PS2 - block-tackle is back, where you only needed to press :x: ( A on the Xbox 1 ) to make a tackle. :)

R2/controlled shooting hasn't been any good since PES 6. I don't expect it to be good this year either.

Eh? But that's how I tackle in 2015...

Ok I get it now. You mean hold X (or A) and they'll home in on the player. But, why are we back to that simple defending?

I think going back to simple defending is in this case more a feature than something bad. I always found it a bit artificial to do a tackle by first press A to approach a player and then release A and press A again to do the actual tackle.
In this case simple is better :)

But it doesn't have to mean simple defending, lami. It's like when i tap x near opponent, my player should be busy using his foot trying to retake the ball, abusing this defending system will result in our player make fouls i.e kicking opponent's foot. The better the defender's ability, less fouls he would make from it..

You really do that? :CONFUSE: Reading it alone sounds confusing. I just use the stick to move and anticipate and press tackle once at the right time.

Yes, I use that too, but only if I am alongside the attacker.
But if the attacker is right in front of me I use that complicated way of tackling. Using the stick right in front of him makes me missing the attacker or collide into him, causing a faul.

You know me Han I am a big fanboy and trying to shake off the mantle so I am unnecessarily pessimistic this year :SMUG:

Sure, there is potential but only for photorealistic graphics. The sole purpose of Fox Engine is realistic light rendering. When they talk about physics, it is also related to light rendering - light reflecting of the water or other textures (capes, flags, hair, metal object…).

For everything else, they are still using physics modules that have not changed much in last 15 years.

This is current Fox Engine physics:

It doesn’t really mater if light reflects perfectly of a glass which is half full/empty, when you have shit in it.

How about Edit mode on 2016? I saw you can import images for emblems, shirt logos, etc.
But can one import stuff into the PS4 through USB flash drives? (sorry I'm a little outdated regarding PS4 stuff per se).

Also, would Sony allow users to copy Option Files from other users like before? I mean, it saves everyone's time and I couldn't care less about trophies anyway...

No and no.

I hope pass direction isn't locked once you press X. It should be like Fifa where you can change direction up until release, in case the receiver moves.
