PES 2016 News & Discussion Thread

Iujimano = Legend

But yeah i loved that system. I still dont get how they havent released the data yet... ffs FM has released theirs.. and im sure its harder to get that out there!!

After getting really tired of Fifa, I got back to PES 2015 ad I feel I never really gave him a fair chance. I´m enjoying it and usually play a couple matches a day. At the end of each session, I load up the 2016 demo and my normal reaction is that this year is so much better than last year. Yeah I know, it´s the demo but still, with its problems o the retail version, I just love the smoothness and how fluid and responsive the game feels.

I just keep looking for a promo to buy the digital version but it´s been hard to find a good oportunity. Still, I get back to the demo every single day... i just think this game looks and feels very good.

About dificulty, I also hate the top player level and above. I just think it´s unrealistic. On Pro, I just have to play with less assistance to make it challenging. I´m struggling with top teams ad winning lesser teams and I´m having fun.

The problem with having teams with individual styles of play is that it involves the in game tactics which imo is far limited compared to PES 2011

This system was fantastic and Konami dropped it the next year. Currently the teams play fixed styles regardless of the game scenario.
that is true but to say that all the teams play like Barcelona is exaggerated.
the team tactics really work and teams play according to the tactics. the options are limited compared to 2011 but at least the tactics that are available work, which is much more then those in the other game

i love the PES series, but i will tell you this, that on this game most teams in the big leagues play the same accept Barcelona i can see they play the way their supposed too. The only leagues and comps i feel teams feel different is the south american stuffs.

I love this addition of PES before you accuse me of being an hater lol.

adjust the tactics if they are still in default. hell of a job i agree but if you want to enjoy the game and are up for the challenge it is very much worth it.

try and set up Chelsea just like Hiddink did a few matches.
Mikel and Matic like defensive midfielders, support 2-3 bars. if that doesn't impress you no football game will.

Yeah they don't all play like Barcelona but it feels like there are 4 playing styles and that's it.

The AI is not Dynamic enough and fail to react to the game circumstance instead opting the play around with the script causing anomalies like players glitching to allow the opposition to score or taking your key players out with poor form arrows.

Great post bro. I feel the same. If a team plays a short pass possession game but a winger has space along the wing and a striker running wide open in the box its like 99% of the time the A.I. doesn't realize it and instead of understanding the situation and crossing the ball, they try to pass their way into the box on the ground.

Another example is playing a possession based team and say you make an error in your own half with your defenders out of position. Instead of the A.I. understanding the situation and trying to quick counter attack, they tend to stay true to the possession style and not understand the situation to counter attack.

That is why I think the tactical system in PES right now limits the variety in A.I. I think we'll see changes. Hearing attack/defensive levels may be making a comeback so thats a start :SNACK:

I just want them to keep today's graphics and go back to the football of PES 2012/2013. The first touch error in 2012 is fabulous. If anyone here decides to give PES 2012 a go, I suggest not playing it on anything but -2 speed, excluding Il Grande Silenzio obviously because he loves his Road-Runner football. Default is seriously fast.

I agree but a positive is that the variation in play is a big improvement on PES2015, it still isn't dynamic in the slightest, that's true but the AI is much less strict on how it will play to it's tactics than on last years game. hopefully they can improve it further.

There was a game in the last few years (PES2013?) where, when Adam was previewing it & talking to Konami (I don't think he was an employee at the time) he mentioned how important first touch was and how well they have implemented it, it was one of the main new features of the game, tap R2 and tap the direction to the ball to have the perfect first touch. It was never mentioned since and it seems to me that pretty much every first touch is the same now. yet again a victim of simplification of the game and the lack of variation in error.

Never experienced that in a PES game. You must be talking about FIFA. Every team feels the same in that Game.

You don't understand what I mean, my friend. : ) My english is not so great, but what I meant was, that upping the difficulty, make low tier teams to play unrealisticaly good - like perfect passes, perfect shots etc ( compared to their real life counterpart ), which I don't like to happen. So I prefer to be slightly easy on proffesional, insetead playing against teams, with fakely buffed stats on higher diffliculties. : )

Said it so much better than I could. It's exactly the problem with this year's game.

Yep, I play on top player and I experienced this a lot of times.
If you have a winning streak, some really low teams begin to play like Barcelona, the game feels very scripted then.

Mosty the teams who are at the bottom of the table, that's very frustrating.

I think just the opposite. CPU AI in PES2015 and 2016 is very poor. PES 2014 was the last PES with tactic sliders. Now the options are very reduced, your team is either counter attack or Possession game, you can't choose a blend of the two styles, the same for defensive tactics. The PES with more variation in the matches is PES 2014, you can play boring games, just like in real life and CPU teams play great football.

The variation is great in WE 2014 Aoki because of the True Ball tech and the Heart feature. CPU scores with great variation, PES 2016 CPU shots and goals are always the same. The animations in WE 2014 Aoki depends on the context. I'm playing since 2014 and you can find new animations. This one is from last week:

What exactly is WE 2014 Aoki?? I know Winning Eleven is the Japanese PES version, but what does Aoki mean?

Winning Eleven 2014 Japanese version was released September 2013. Winning Eleven 2014 Aoki samurai no chousen was released May 2014 and includes JLeague and Japan team Road to Brazil World Cup. The gameplay is better than September 2013 version.

Ah okey, thanks a lot. Yep, it looks really good! :)

ANY AIO Patch you can recommend me (Link would be nice as well :p) to get PES 2012 up-to-date with kits, trasnfers, faces, etc?.

I went over to Fifa 16 for a good while, found a difficulty level I liked, had some good games, some bad, overall it felt rather good. But I have to admit, coming back into PES afterwards, it felt like it was a lot more fun than Fifa. I haven't messed with sliders or anything, though.

Yes, the main diference between both is that Fifa always feels like playing a "game", but instead PES always feels like playing "football". So in the end it comes to a personal preference.

Wow, Toni Kroos (comp a.i, superstar) just shot the ball HIGH over the crossbar. A cool, nice shot, a volley from about 25 metres out.

Xbox 360 version. Shit like this needs to happen way more often.

Still enjoying the game immensely. Had some brilliant couch multiplayer sessions last night.

The fluidity and responsiveness are amazing.
Yeah there definitely isn't enough error in any of the A.I's game. Every attempt on goal is low and hard into the either of the bottom corners

Am I the only one that finds it incredibly stupid that the crowd noise continues when you put the game/match on pause?

Even the commentary continues in the beginning of the match when you press pause.

KONAMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!?!!
If we're going to get this petty, sit back and let me rant about this one...

Why, when you've finished a match, does one song play over the "tannoy", then, when you exit the post-match menu (usually ten seconds later), does a NEW song play (for about ten seconds), and then, if your next game is a CL or EL match, does a NEW song play (the appropriate anthem)?

You get ten seconds of one song, then ten seconds of a different song, then the CL or EL theme for however long it takes you to go to a match.

AND, if you have the CL or EL music playing, and then you look at e.g. your domestic league table, you get a new song (for as little as 2-3 seconds, that's how long I look at it for). Then, you back up, and you get the anthem again.

The same applies if your next game is a domestic game, and you want to quickly look at e.g. your CL or EL group table.

PICK A SONG AND STICK TO IT, KONAMI.

If it's a licensing issue, when you've got a CL or EL game coming up, just keep playing the relevant anthem - I'm sure UEFA won't fucking sue you just because an anthem plays over the "England Division 1" league table for a second.

(Now that's petty.)

Regarding the issue that PES 2016 became arcadish and that players all have the same pass capabilities and that first touch error is reduced...

The problem seems much bigger than expected: Now even real life footballers and teams are becoming arcadish as well, have watched champions league matches this week, and all players have near perfect pass capabilities, first touch error is practically non existent, and they seem able to run around the whole pitch for the whole 90 minutes like crazy... and most try to shoot goals with low shots.

Konami, what have you done!!!!
