PES 2016 News & Discussion Thread

How many stadiums are we getting this year ??? Why could pes2013 on an inferior system have over 30+ stadiums and for a ps4 game we have such limited numbers ??

Yes 100% in the Euro patch/standalone game

I'm betting it'll be a patch, and it'll probably on the level of their WC mode in 2014. Would be better if they did a standalone game, so they could add more of an online component to it, but that's probably expecting too much from Konami.

I'm only buying one out of pes and Fifa this year. So my choice has to be right. Just played fifa16 demo and it's nice. But like pes both do well what the other game don't and vice versa. I love you can use so many teams in Fifa demo as it really gives you a good range to use.

But I will say an Option file is a must for me this year. I don't have time to edit anymore.

PES needs to lock down Italian, Spanish, Brazilian, and French leagues.
They need all teams and stadiums!
Just Played Fifa Demo and it's nice to see German League Fully licensed!

It's all about the masterleague news for me the lack of fouls really ruins the game.
it's fun but it's too easy even on superstar -1 no matter what team I pick I can usually scrape a win just being patient.
I just worry the master-league news will just be about features that aren't even features like the ability to go from day to day and see a picture of a fake press conference when u sign a player.

Played the FIFA 16 demo. Feels a lot like PES, I think even the graphics are comperable. I do like the heaviness and individual player characteristics better in PES though. For example in FIFA it feels like bale and Ronaldo are the same player. We desperately need an option file this year and many stadiums.

Played a few games of Fifa, big improvement from last year and if this year PES 16 = PES 15 I'd be playing Fifa more for sure, but that's not the case, PES 16 for me shows individuality a lot more and also I enjoy the player dribble more in PES, BUT PES needs to improve AI aggression to close down or foul players more, Fifa does that pretty well from the few games I played. Hoping next year konami can hire a few more people from the money they make from my club to improve presentation and a few other small areas

I agree Fifa is much better game play wise than 15 was. PES needs PRESENTATION BAD!

Also they need to seal up a league fully licensed. I think Italian league would make the best sense. All stadiums and teams.

If they don't Fifa will.

PES 2013 had all the Spanish stadiums. What happened ? Spanish, French and Italian leagues would be amazing if licensed.

Damn it... I just played the FIFA demo for 2 hours straight and I'm confused. Don't really know which game I like better. LOL.

I've preorder PES two weeks ago and haven't touched the demo eversince to keep the surprise factor alive for the full game. Both games have amazing things. Although, to be honest, there are less things to be fixed in FIFA. Less broken stuff and bugs to fix than PES. And plenty more options to customize everything.

Only one week left though. I'll have plenty of time to test everything in PES before FIFA comes out and then I'll really be able to make up my mind and choose one.
I always switch between the two throughout the year anyways.

I love the look of Bor-Russia Park stadium in fifa demo. I think the Fox game engine would produce better looking stadiums but they have no license. It really should be illegal to monopolize sports games like EA does. Who wants Madden Football in every sport. EA only sports.

The fifa 16 demo plays a good balanced game (not unbalanced and superfast like fifa 15),with great presentation.
If final game plays like demo i buy it.
But pes 2016 remains the number 1 for me ,addictive gameplay .
Seems its going to be a great year for both games .

Konami have had plenty of time to sort licences out but seem intent on doing it on the cheap whilst still putting out a very poor edit mode. Id be happy enough with a stadium creator and option files for all and allow creators to do their thing. The game plays fine but the rest is quite poor in comparison to the effort put in by EA. consumers want more nowadays and they can get it from EA unfortunately.

I played about 8 games of fifa on the bounce last night. When i donwloaded pes demo i played 2 and cant play more than 2 at a time. No idea why.
Yet Fifa really impressed me. I will play tonight to see if i still enjoy it as much

The lighting in FIFA is better at night in Pes a day time ;)

well I have pre ordered PES but now i need to consider as the FIFA demo is also really good and has fouls!

it also looks light years ahead in visuals. Although i do like the PES custom cam better.

I've been flip flopping between the 2 since 2008. The only thing I would say (and I mentioned it in the FIFA thread) is to give yourself the same chance at learning FIFA as you would PES. I won't harp on because this is the PES topic but because of the love people have for PES, they're happy to give it so much longer before it's written off. Both games are VERY different and it take a long time to adjust imo but maybe it's just me.

I've been enjoying the PES demo although I can't put my finger on why. I think it's basic, it lacks any satisfaction in scoring, keepers look god awful and a lot of the animations are still terrible but for a reason I can't explain, I enjoy the game. I guess it flows nicely and gaps appear organically to be exploited. in FIFA i always feel like i have to create an opening with a pattern of play (not always the same pattern). Maybe that's a good thing but i think that's why PES feels a lot better to play.

Now i'm sure it will end with disappointment. All this waiting...
Imagine if they tell us the same things we already know
