PES 2016 News & Discussion Thread

Agreed, the names are simply unacceptable. I refused to sign any because of this. Can't believe they took the option out to edit them.

I think that the names will be changed to more "normal" ones.

We can see it in the demo already.
Palmeiras have several "fake" players, yet none have a weird name. Some have typos though, but nothing gamebreaker.

this, so much.
i have always thought FIFA player models look like chimpanzees: freakishly wide deformed shoulders like clothes hangers, also the fact that the fonts/numbers stretch ridiculously with the player movement looks hideous to me.
I'd rather have generic cheap uniforms rather than 7 Galatasaray kit options with latex uniforms.

Im not trying to bash fifa, it's just that it's not appealing at all to me.

Fifa is a good game, I played fifa 16 demo and I am sure it will be appealing to a lot of people but I just think PES 16 is miles better in terms of animation, ball physics, player identity and general gameplay. For some odd reason I do like kits editing too. I just don't understand if I am the only one who thinks this game has a great potential. Maybe because I play full manual that I am not getting what the other people are complaining about.

Had enough of Fifa demo, only played a game and a half , one thing I can say is, the player models from a distance are terrible when compared to PES. I can understand why PES won at gamescom, better ball physics, player models, player dribble and movement, for me everything feels better and PES but don't get me wrong Fifa is a good game, 8 days more to go till ML begins

Have now played the PES 16 and Fifa 16s demo Ive always favoured PES but this year Fifa is miles better. Pes has no fouls this year and thats not football, for me thats a game breaker and I wont be buying.

Agreed, Disgusting stuff from KONAMI.

22 stadiums if i'm not wrong.
Still some weird Konami things: those 50's balls, i wonder who is using them...
Also hope that this year you can use the South-American stadiums in Europe and vice versa. That is one of the typical Konami things.

From the beginning this game was not customisable enough.

It all seems rather good, but there is this typical Konami stuborness that was Always there.

Don't understand why people are disappointed about the ML news... To me this is enough. Konami fianlly seems to have understood that litle things like team of the week and the player roles make a ML good fun.

Personally i really loved the players stats after the matches that were in the game some time ago. Never understood why they stopped with that (as with dozens of other similar things, like the way your performances affeced the number of fans in the stadium).

In PES2015 you got a player of the match, but that was broken IMO. 90% of the time my CF was man of the match. Otherwise, it would have been a CB or a SB, but never ever a midfielder even if he scored 4 goals in a 4-3 win...

All in all the news that we got iswhat i expected. It should have been more (stadiums) but i had heard an Adam Bhatti interview where he spoke about more stadiums but not loads more...

Another typical Konami thing is the fact that the Chilean league is back.I was delighted with it in PES2014, then in 2015 it wasn't there and now it's back...weird, but good news.

I hope for DLC: stadiums and perhaps some extra leagues, but i don't think we will get that.

100% agreed. The graphics on day time looks on the same level like FIFA. Players models, kits, movements, collision system, headers animations, shooting are better in PES.

after being impressed with presentation of fifa 16 demo at first i decided its a definate no buy this year,in pes player models are so much more natural looking, the defending in pes 15&16 is a joy compared to fifa, player running and movement feels so much more natural, and the difference in players is much better in pes,a good editmode is needed ,but this year seems better.
PES 2016 all the way this year, bring it on.:APPLAUD:

Happy to see the generic stadiums from 2013 are back at least, still a rubbish stadiums list but at the very least we have some generics back :)

ROSE PARK!! WOHOO

Ok i'm overreacting but it was vital that stadium was back.

I've created a thread for the PES v FIFA discussion. Why don't you post your thoughts in there? It's a quiet over there and needs love.

(I disagree btw, the shooting in FIFA 16 is delicious!)

Off-topic but I'm so glad you said this Gerd, glad it's not just me.

I've been playing as an AMF (usually played out of position as an RMF) in a Become A Legend game the last couple of months after FIFA started feeling a bit repetitive, and as much as I'm enjoying the difficulty of it overall, I've never won a man-of-the-match award, despite scoring one goal and grabbing two assists in one game (which is a very rare occurrence - in-fact, I've only done that once in 20 games).

It saps the reward right out of the game when you work really hard and finally pull off a great performance, and you're still outranked when compared to the striker who scored a tap-in and ghosted around a bit.

I have to say, in the era when consoles are powerful than ever konami release game with 20 stadiums, is that a joke? Yes gameplay is more important but even then playing league on 4-5 stadiums comes repetetive and boring, at least they should guve us option to set time of the match and weather conditions before matches on master league. No matter how much improvments they made in the master league i can't imagine to play 80% of the matches at night. Why they simply not add little stadiums with small stands, with and without athletic track around, some bigger without roof at the stands, thats only ideas and I know that they are easy to create and to be implemented. I love the demo but i had big expectations about full game, what are they doing for the whole year? Do they even love their job? If community can create more than 50 stadiums without tools konami have i can't find words how much I am dissapointed...
