PES 2015 Discussion Thread (PS4/XB1)

Played yesterday and today , seems every players has same speed and ball control , no matter you control Alaba , Messi or Van Buyten - there is no difference. just like in Pes14 . Nice joke Konami :BRICK:

yeah, i played a L1 pass with bale today, waited for him to run forward and get open, he didn't because pirlo outrun him, i hope they work on the speed

So,i am not the only one reporting this. I experienced Fernandez of Napoli running as he has 85 speed, but he just has 76.

played one more game this time pes version..i saw one foul in this game and a red card which is a plus..downside for me is just feels too dated..players locked in position, the ai scripted passing..this could of been a rebadged ps2 game which would of been nice to have but it isnt what id expect for a full price next gen game

I don't see any problem with that. Individuality imo has never been that good and there's no catch up bug or anything like that.

It all depende on cicunstance.

If C. Ronaldo is on the run and recieves a perfect grounded through pass and he just need to sprint on a straight line or make just minimalista body adjustments, absolutetly no one can catch him. But if he's sprinting with the ball in a far wide position and you want him to cut in side to be in a proper angle to shoot at goal, he will naturally make heavier body adjustments (unlike in Fifa in wich he literally fly while sprinting when turning in every angle) like any normal athlete (i know he's a special athlete tho), wich could give minor seconds for defender not much far from him to come soon enough to close the angle and eventually block the shot, specially if the defender sprint diagonally.

Body adjustment and angle matter a lot on This game and thats a very good thing, it creats balance and realism to the gameplay, wich for me it represents a fundamental advantage of pes this year over any Fifa.

Last years game had an absurd Issue with catch up bug wich was a joke, slow defenders always got a misterious boast and became usais bolts in a split of a Second, but thats not the case with pes 2015. In pes 2015 fast players can easily outrun slowers one, specially on a straight line, but body adjustment and angle are very relevante wich is a good thing as I said.

+1000 great post

DuduBR9 ,,Individuality imo has never been that good''

problem is ...there is no individuality and yes this year no catch up bug but it desnt change anything when it comes to individuality issue. Believe me there is no difference between slower and faster players ,only running animation.

Ok, I respect your opinion, but for me there is.

Sprinting and turnning with Pique and Inesta feels ridiculous different. Pique not only feels heavier, but he also doesn't have the same touchs on the ball. Sprinting with him could be dangerous not only because of his position, but also because he can put the ball further away from himself, making it easier for a someone to steal ball possesion.

Só when you are under pique control it's better Play and keep simple, and pass the ball, while with Iniesta you can try something different and be more unpredictable in your decisions. But at least Pique has more clean and accurate tackles and is decent to cut air balls.

I personally like this demo, sure it has it's problems, but I am at least having fun playing it. I hope in these two months they can iron out some of the problems. i am seeing some responsiveness issues in the PS3, apparently its not so bad in the ps4.

I do wish the AI fouled more and that the keepers were more fluid in their movements. The game I played had the AI complete most of their passes tho, while i was very sloppy managed to eek out a 1-0 win

Someone has pointed an Issue with the colective/team AI that bothers me as well, wich is the gap between midfield and defence.

Take a look

That happens when I Play with Barcelona, but when I set to Play with offside trap on and fluid formation, the defence line played a bit more more high on the field and therefore closed to the midfield players, but thats still a problem.

BTW, is there any option to set the defence line to Play high ?

I feel like the game lacks tatical options that have been there in pes2011/2012/2013

no individuality....???? what you guys playing? ths is the best footballgame up to date! i play it on ps4 and there is a lot of fun to play and every single player feels different. the ting is learn to play with different player and thats it!
when i read this post on this site i really thought we play different games...

Originally played the 360 version. Like someone said; very good but sluggish and laboured regarding player movement. However, got my ps4; now I have downloaded the demo and it plays very fluid and smooth with player movement much improved along with graphics etc etc.

Anyone notice the camera view from corner kicks looks really weird? all the players are not adjacent with the goal, most of them look like they are beyond where the goal is? it looks REALLY weird!

really odd.
Got Fifa today but felt the urge to play the pes demo instead.
played 3 games with Bayern and it all clicked for me. I just want to keep playing.
Ok there are some glaring issues like shooting being way over powered and headers being too weak but overall i like it.
So with that. Fifa going back tomorrow unopened
Just hope Konami dont muck up final release.

Will you be able to get an option file for PS4?

There's a potentially brilliant game here. But they need to fix keepers palming the ball out so much, reduce the speed of the ball movement as its like a rocket zipping around, improve the teammate AI defence to prevent the CPU through balls, have the CPU actually commit fouls and reduce the overall speed a little.

Generally it feels pretty good but those annoyances are close to game breakers personally.

Have you tried manually moving them closer to each other in the formation screen? Maybe that would work?

Well someone has to hold the torch ;)

Interesting. Hopefully it is just as fluid and smooth on the Xbox One.

Ok I played the demo again last night and overall I enjoyed it more but then I played the FIFA 15 demo again and I noticed its flaws right away...felt just like every other FIFA all of a sudden, even though I had quite liked it until I played the PES demo. Go figure...

Am going to read some more feedback on FIFA 15 now but it seems that once a guy gets past you, he's gone...and it's quiet easy to get past someone to start with. Well the CPU vs human anyway.

Ok so back to PES. Apart from the laboured feeling with players (for example:
- just using the left stick which I do a lot and the animation looks like a hunchback walking around in a stuttery way. If you press sprint it takes a moment before the sprint commences. It goes from zero to 100 but with a slight turbo lag...
- if you're holding down sprint, just like on PES 2014, it seems that the ball moves too far ahead. You don't notice it on the ball as much as you do the number of steps required to then touch the ball again. Have a look and you'll see what I mean. Players with good but not incredible dribbling should only need a couple of steps between each touch.

Probably the bigger issue I noticed though is that even after tweaking the formation and tactic settings, and me knocking the ball around looking for gaps, there does not seem to be a whole lot of movement off the ball. You find the occasional run in behind or out wide but I mean players dragging their opponent out of shape.

That's the problem. When you go back and forth between both games none of them will ever convince you. I speak from experience here.

Try picking ONE and sticking to it for two weeks. You'll probably enjoy it more.

I can't believe there's people saying the PS3 version is better or that there's no individuality in the game. 2 things I'm 100% sure of are about the PS4 version being the superior one among all and also about the excellent amount of individuality in the game. Believe me, I was PES 2014 #1 hater because of the lack of it and for the freaking annoying catch-up which is non existent in this year's version of the game.

I agree. I'd always played FIFA but when I got Xbox Live I was able to try out the PES 2011 demo and kept coming back to it. Traded in FIFA and loved PES 2011. Regretted trading it in for PES 2012 as I didn't like it as much. Didn't mind 2013 but still not that great and after playing the PES 2014 demo and keeping up to date with all the patches via the forums etc I still didn't get it and held off for this one. It's not a massive improvement on Xbox 360...more of a subtle one.

If I am going to get a next gen console it will be the Xbox One probably as I already pay for Xbox Live on there and a couple of mates will get that as well. The last couple of years I've only played FIFA when I go around there and it's easy enough to pick up and play. I always change the PES control scheme to match FIFA though. Am hoping that the Xbox One version of PES improves visually though.

Yeah I was but I tweaked around with s few settings, adjusted positions and the game hit the sweet spot.
Robben is immense on this game
