PES 2015 Discussion Thread (PS4/XB1)

There's no difference between them. It's the same demo. Don't mislead people.
there is a difference between we and pes demo on ps3 version at least the AI isnt as annoying for starters, ive been fouled, goalkeppers arent playing short pass everytime they have a goal kick, they are also different in size WE 881MB AND EU 916MB :OOOH:

Gerd I noticed the more I played the more fouls I got

Something very wrong with Atletico Madrid on superstar Using Bilbao against them when they start pissing about passing the ball around the defense I put my control down and watch them flaff about forever not even trying to go forward. I then wait until my CB automatically disposses them and pick up the controller again. Try it someone else.

This is not how the Champions of La liga play

Initially I don't like the feeling of this game at all. The ball feels weightless, like its gliding on ice and bounces too little. The dribble speed from normal to full sprint is too instant, there is no in-between dribble speed (same problem as in pes 2014). The players feel like empty shells running like strained puppets; whole game feels too obviously strained by programming. Shots feel soulless.. I mean there isn't a single thing that makes you really exalted. Couldn't play more than a couple of games before I felt anguish and turned it off, so I will have to give it a new try later.

For me, football games are more about the inner and core feeling of gameplay. PES 6 still FEELS better than this, and so does even Pes 2013. I fail to see what exactly the likes of Asim and Adam Bhatti are hyping so much about this game. You probably must have lost touch with life and reality and become a superficial human to be able to really like this game.

For me it's not acceptable what they've done to Pes, but I'll try to play some more.

EDIT: I'm on the Ps3 btw, so don't know about the ps4 version.

Yes, Zee, I talked about this in my bullet-review some pages ago. There are some very hardcoded patterns in the AI that they didn't even tried to disguise. One of them is piling 5-6 players back and pass the ball around them as much time as they need until the striker or a midfielder that suddenly decides to go up come near the halfline, then they do that pass and enter the second phase of attack: dribbling like mad (with speed and strength boosting) or through/long ball like mad until you get the ball back or they score.

After a lot of matches it's all the AI seems able to do. Atletico definitely has the deffensive ping pong part enhanced by their gameplan. But it just shows the limitations of the game and how primitive and hardcoded are those "tactics".

The more I play PES and Fifa demo... the more I love Nba 2k.

@drekkard and Lami lol and i agree unfortunately

Mind you the leave controller trick is something I have been doing since PES3. Gives you insight into the games coding. This was a common occurence except 2013 or 2014

im only playing ps3 the demo is ok i think the i maybe able to stomach playing it which is an improvement as 2014 made me give up pes:R1

Fair enough Pes did improve with the patches although you probably had finished with it at that stage . . . .trust me it got good.

i've seen so many guys praising the AI in the demo, i was ahead 2-0 against atletico madrid at halftime, and all they did the second half was passing the ball around on defense, didn't even try to go forward, that's a tactic you can try when you have the lead

Is it really so hard to make proper Ai? I don't think so. To me it's just lack of focus and highlighting what's important in a football game.

What irks me is the people with early access don't pick these things up or do they and not allowed to tell. Either way its a bit of a stuff up.

I noticed this too, they had a clear path to go forward and then just decided to go back... this hapened for a while without pressure until they decided to go up a bit....

Having already tried the WE demo, decided to download the PES demo. Whilst there is still something about PES which makes me feel it's just a bit more like real football than FIFA, I simply can't stand playing against Konami's cpu. The laser-guided, pixel-perfect, ping-pong passing and perfect first touch is unacceptable. Not even remotely human-like. Total game killer for me. FIFA's cpu opponent is nearly as bad but at least sliders can take the edge off some of its relentless perfection.

Shame really, I can't help but feel the game has potential, but as usual, it's smothered in shit and so won't be buying it.

Team tactics needs to be tweaked for final version. Athletico does not play possession football, Real Madrid do not longball like a 2nd division team, etc.

The delay in shooting and complete lack of heading with manual and advance is getting me down a bit/lot I like the freedom of advance/ manual shooting as in where I can put the ball!! But it's so unresponsive

Ps4 shooting if your on manual or ad I can't hit a first time shot always takes a touch
And you can only head the ball if it's on basic it seems!!

Mate- your avatar is superb. I know you were probably after a bit of PES 2015 debate, but I felt compelled.

My main gripe is still the goalkeepers; they're glued to the line which makes the goals really obvious. They don't react to the attacker's movement, they only wake up and get busy once the shot is hit.

They need to freaking move around more!

Totally agree.
Last night I played vs A Madrid with Juve. For the entire match they didnt play a forward pass. It went back and left then right.
They didnt cross halfway line and pinged about 1000 perfect passes.
I put control down and let them carry on for the entire match.

I think (and I say this every year) that me and PES are done.

I just dont like the way it plays any more. The ball dont feel right and the whole game just feels and looks dated.

Ill probably get it in March when patched to death and less than half price.

Same nonsense as last year with the headers and players chesting a cross down rather than going straight for it. I play a wonderful curved cross from Robben to Müller who is free on goal and he just has to head it in but he decides to apply all kinds of extra touches and fumbles it, of course.

And, hooray, hitting the post three consecutive times is also in there again because Konami STILL things this is exciting.

You playing on manual as well? Noticed the site on the bar not the chesting bit
