PES 2015 Discussion Thread (PS4/XB1)

Just saw this in another forum:

--"Contact the support retarded microsoft and this what they told me:

Just checked here that PES 2015 demo is still not available it's will be available as advised on 11/11/2014 by the game developers."---

Make your own conclusions.....

The demo is here on XBOX 360 (US only): http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/P...015-DEMO/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d8024b4e8860

Need mirrors to download it as I don't have Gold anymore

Just checked the Australian Xbox marketplace and the demo is out. Only problem is that it's 10:30am and I'm at work...will hopefully get in a few games before bed if it installs in time after work.

Must admit, played HK Demo on both PS3 and PS4, and loving them both. Hated PES 14, but this is very, very promising on every level. This is what 14 should have been.

Went to a friend and played 3 VS Human matches, my first feelings PS3 version:

PROS

- loved the fast paced rythm.
- the struggle in the middle is really nice.
- shooting improved.
- free kicks, now we are talking.
- AI read your moves and play with you.
- crowd is amazing, very into the game.

CONS

- through pass too overpowered, is a 80% success resource.
- GK are good from long shots but with shots inside the box they are just lame. Just like happened in the past gen.
- HATE that for goal kicks, free kicks and corner kicks you must move the direction with the second analog, just like 2014. Can it be changed?
- there's replay for EVERYTHING, literally.
- i felt a little lag after any shot or pass.

Quick question, after playing both ps3/ps4, besides graphical improvement, do you see a big difference in gameplay? I havent picked up my ps4, but i might hold out if the gameplay is pretty much the same....

I still do not understand this konami la-liga stadiums issue and what adam bhatti said about it. It seems like a big lie to me, assuming that EA have the rights to the la-liga stadiums which were acquired in 2013,

It would mean that EA have had a full year to build the stadiums if they wanted to but instead built over 20 EPL stadiums and also licensed and built new stadiums and quite a few generics and they totally ignored the la-liga and left them with four stadiums.

Some thing doesnt add up, someone is definitely lying, I hope we hear announcements for the stadiums soon

This game is a frustrating nightmare. I unfortunately have been reading coaching manuals for the past 9 months and I think I have destroyed some of the fun of PES

Pros
-The game is a little more responsive than 2014
-Variety in AI styles
-GK are improved but the animations are really bad

Cons
-Shooting and Passing are too accurate
-Computer compensates for this by making the pass receivers stiff and slow to react while boosting GK and defenders speed.
-Team-mate AI is bad but not as bad as FIFA but what evens them out is that your team-mates are ridiculously slow to correct their positional mistakes.
-Everybody and their grand-mother can curve the ball like crazy. That stats doesn't matter.
-Strength and balance doesn't matter in offence.
-Dante if faster than Tevez in superstar
-Tactical options have been reduced to extremes and are not even effective
-The game feels intrusive.
-Ball physics are not realistic at all.
-Ref is a bit card happy and CPU doesn't foul (2 fouls in 8 matches)

pes is like your first love thats fucked your best friend but still we take the bitch back, pes will never live up to the glory dayz of pes6 its a fact memories are better than the reality 2015 is better than 2014 but lets face it that wasnt exactly difficult to improve on , ps3 version is still 2014, but a little bit more responsive, but that has comes at a cost ball physics are way off and players dont have any physicality, defending has gotten worse more down to luck than judgement pressure pressure, there is no midfield play by the AI its more interested in passing the ball around back four,

online this game will be unresponsive and thru ball whoring, usually you get the new pes and it takes time to even score a goal where as this version on superstar its a piece of piss to score,

these views are of the PS3 version chaps and the WE DEMO, pes is now focused on next gen version as it should be if i had ps4 id want it to be better than ps3 version lol or wats the point

Have downloaded us version and it is different to WE demo, more responsive feel a lot more in control of things and id say it is defo a different code

A major problem for me is that the AI never makes a mistake, misplace a pass or foul.

Downloaded demo from US and also had the HK one. Anyone who says they play different is wrong. They are exactly the same.

Same size though.. just downloaded the US version.. haven't played it yet. soon.

PS: put "Fluid Formation" ON, it change radically the flow of the game, positionning, that's the best tactical stuff that have been added since...
Never in a footie game. It should be "ON" by defaut, even if it makes some players tired.
You can also customise them.
BTW the biggest reproch in can make for this PES is the shooting lack of trajectory and too powerfull.
Also, the Defensive AI is scripted and the automatic Barycentre when you press, no "double sprint" allowed when you're in defense, makes the defending part too scripted and simple for me.

"Jockey" serve to nothing, it's cancelled when you sprint in the same time... Also, a "semi" super-cancel shoud be actived by default in attack and defense, it will make running less on rail.

In brief: Defensive part are very strong and tactically interesting, there are many tactical options (with offside trap on D-pad etc.) tactical moves are OK and improved but there is a lack of variety in "normal" moves.

Don't understand how people are saying that Ps3 version of the demo is like Pes 2014 with more response. I switched back and forth between the two yesterday and they're nothing like each other. I think people will realise in time what a good game Pes 14 is and Konami should have built on from it.

:)) only us crazy folk get that game

PES2014 was a very good game with lots of very apparent shortcomings...Konami have only themselves to blame for the reception...

Years ago i took the time to edit the game, but now i don't have the time and that is one of the reasons why FIFA has appeal for me.

I don't buy the excuse that Konami haven't got the licenses.

I would be happy to play i licensed Jupiler League, Danish league, Scottish league and other so called lesser leagues...

Furhermore with not more stadiums from the licensed leagues or the stadiums that they can use ? I don't care that there are no Spanish stadiums in the game, somewhere in Europe there should be real stadiums they can use.

What happened to stadiums like De Kuip, Stade du Vélodrome, Rasunda and others ? This is only one of the many examples where Konami served it's customers less post PS2 era....

We can all give dozens of similar examples.

I don't buy 'the pitch is ours'. A good game is about gameplay and all the rest...

So what would the decent thing to do ? Give us a retail version with good gameplay (i'm not sure if the demo gamplay is good enough, not decided yet...) and give us plenty of free DLC with the cosmetic aspects like stadiums and other things.

I wouldn't mind paying for extra leagues or extra game modes.

I played my first game, will give more detailed analysis later but stamina is going to be a big issue.
