PES 2015 Discussion Thread (PS4/XB1)

Agree with what Gerd has said there .. .and I'm also undecided about this demo. . .even though I want to love it because it's Pes!

I am not enjoying this game. What is up with the midfield especially in defence. we have only 2 options all out defence or forward press. This is silly.
Defenders sprinting back creates space

I agree about the tactical options and their lack of middle ground. You can set your attacking build up area to either wide or central... Why not mixed, why not a slider?

I played my first game, will give more detailed analysis later but stamina is going to be a big issue.

I think this was an issue with Pes05 or 06 demo and was easily resolved in the main release.

I checked back to my first PES06 review and laugh now.
I still play and love PES06.
I'm hoping for similar with this when I try the demo later.

Got it on PC yesterday.
Have to say, I'm not impressed after a few hours.
Player control seems very slow, jerky and is if they are skating on ice for some reason.
It just doesn't seem near as fluid as PES5 did.
There's a marked difference in ball control and close challenging that I probably have to get used to. Shooting appears harder, but I think there's room for more variety and 'off the cuff' action to bring in a greater degree of realism.

I remember almost giving up on PES5 before realising it to be the best soccer game ever. I guess it's due to the fact that every PES up to 4 was simply miles better than the previous.
Perhaps this is yet another of the "acquired" tasting PES's I gotta get used to for full enjoyment.
It's also hard leaving a full up to date and beautifully patched PES5 for this.

Play the damn thing a bit before nitpicking stats.

you need to understand how it ties into the game. If they improve messis physical attributes he would be unstoppable. The guy is a demi god on the demo already. It would screw it up if they made him any better

I wonder how the physic statics show in the game. Ronaldo got 90 and messi 75. Yes Ronaldo got more muscle, but how does he benefit of this.
Also Bale 76 physic :o, same as messi haha

All of the stats combine to create how the player moves and their individual skills. You can't just look at one stat and say that a player will be better or they will be better at something like dribbling, which will be dependent on about 6 stats and numerous special skills

i am not saying that. I say what does physic means, since messi and bale got the same. Wonder what konami means by this...since bale is a barbarian and messi a hobbit

PHY would entail Kicking Power, Speed, Body Balance, Explosive Power, Jumping and Stamina. All of which Ronaldo excels at especially jumping, he's an absolute beast in the air.

@AsimTanvir hey Asim. I have got pes 2015 from usa store. It crashed on me i had to unplug ps4. This never happened on HK and JPN demo.

Just tweeted this to adam and Asim on twitter.

Haven't had any issues with the HK or the NA version "crashing" my PS4. Not sure what you guys are doing.

NA demo looks and plays exactly the same as the other versions, for those wondering.

I don't know if any of you wondered this.

Somewhat concerned me about the future of the franchise. I wonder which edition of PES will be the true nextgen game and if Fox Engine is the ideal engine if we like to see the game evolve.

If we continue like this, the only difference between PS3 and PS4 will be the fps, lighting effects and animations. It will be a Cross-Gen game forever? Because for the first time we are in a moment thats both console versions looks almost the same.

They probably knew we were enjoying it too much. . .try put us on a downer before the fresh demo came out so that we'd appreciate it more.

Right now I am enjoying this, maybe a bit more as a video game than a simulation of football. That can change once the full game is out and the lesser teams become available. Often my biggest enjoyment from Pes comes from playing teams with relatively low stats. I suppose it's because they don't have the superstars of the big teams.

At this point the majority of costumers are on ps3/x360. And contrary to PES6, which they shipped an annual version of that game every year, they simple couldn't ship pes2014 again because the game was obviously unfinished. So I believe next year PES2016 will be on ps4/xONE will be very different from the last gens consoles, because people will gradually move to the newer consoles and because PES2015 looks like a game to build upon, with yearly updates in the same fashion as PES6.

Ok playimg the EU demo. What I noticed is that in all the corners i got against my keepers comes out and punches it away. Literally in all the corners wtf???

Don't understand how people are saying that Ps3 version of the demo is like Pes 2014 with more response. I switched back and forth between the two yesterday and they're nothing like each other. I think people will realise in time what a good game Pes 14 is and Konami should have built on from it.
i dont understand anyone calling 2014 a good game, it killed a whole community gaming site cuz it was fooking shocking and us guys there were die hard pes fans :COAT:

hello. is there difference between demo pes 2015 europe and demo winning eleven 2015 Asian?

I find the asian demo easier on superstar and much more fun to play. The EU demo feels so much more scripted on superstar, its much harder but in a bad way. I got the feeling my movements gets overridden by the cpu a lot more in the EU demo.

There we go again to the placebo train... :R1

But its always a PES thing and if we look closely

PES:
Placebo
Effect
Syndrome

:P:P:P:P:P:SMUG:

I'm finding the demo enjoyable, although I also enjoyed '14 until the latest patch. I am not a hardcore fan, so I was also pleased with the other game's demo but will probably pick PES this year.

Waiting to see if option files for the PS4 will work or then decide to just stick to PS3 if the gameplay is pretty much the same.

Well i've played perhaps 50 matches in the WE demo and never was fouled once by the AI.
In the PES demo i've played 2 matches and was fouled 3 times...could be a coïncidence...
