PES 2015 Discussion Thread (PS4/XB1)

Maybe so, but I worry that PES is gaining an ever more esoteric following. I don't believe Konami do enough to put PES into the mainstream gamer's awareness.

Don't know if intended or not but it's better to see videos like Weedens than that awful official trailer.

KONAMI are saving money on marketing and community is marketing the game for them.

There's an issue I've noticed in this game, the ball never bounces. Even though it looks good and shit, something is lacking to make it feel natural. If you watch with a little more attention you'll see that the ball does not behave realistically, it's like it's magnetically attracted to the pitch. Everytime a player passes, shoots or traps the ball and it gets above the ground, it's quickly "glued" back to it.

Agreed, although I feel like the ball has behaved this way in all PES games since PES 6, unfortunately. Ball physics were much better in PES 3-6.

:LMAO: Adam bhatti just confirmed that he gave the list of differences between pc and ps4 to the officialpes account . He is such a hero

I hope Konami will allow us to give individual instruction (Tactics) to any player like (avoid getting a yellow card) or (save your energy) or (use your full energy) or (act like Marco Materazzi)

and I hope Konami will allow 10-0-0 formation (free formations) in PES 2015!

can someone tell me if (the last few years, when i skipped pes) it was clear before release if online was good or bad?

I don't think I've seen a single video where I can say that's my kind of football, the playing style in the videos is very disappointing and I'm not referring to the Kick and Run players.

I'll reserve judgement until the final game but I'm not impressed by the tactics either, maybe those playing in the videos don't care about it as much as I do.

Any word on whether Konami have brought back the wingback position?

i think it has a lot to do with the ball physics, looks way too easy to receive passes and immediately sprint

Not sure about that. I 've seen a lot of actions where players lost possesion because the ball bounced off them after receiving a pass. I think it depends a lot on timing and the technique of the player in question. It may seem too easy with the teams in the demo because these are great teams, but bad players will have problems to sprint immediately after receiving the pass.

I would rather have unrealistic first touches which keep the game flowing and responsive. Rather than super realistic first touches which make the game slow and unresponsive, like the past 8 years.
Remember the power of pes has always been the great mixture of arcade and simulation. Some aspects of the game should be arcade and some should be simulation.
