Overall he was positive but did encounter a few concerns:
- The reviewer finds attacking a bit overpowered compared to defending, which seems to be more difficult compared to previous versions.
- This is especially true because the high trough ball via the middle seems to be an all too easy way to put your attacker one on one with the keeper. The reviewer is concerned this may lead to exploits. Meanwhile, he finds attacking via the sides to be less effective, thus some balancing is needed here. He do notes the AI is surprisingly good when it comes to positioning.
- There still is the occasional 'frozen' player who seems to be stuck in an animation after performing an action.
- Responsiveness is much better then 2014 but can still be improved.
- He does point out that player positioning and passing skills are important factors for better control. Some tweaking is needed here because he had some troubles with players who saw the ball bounce of their feet in an unrealistic way.
Translation of his closing thoughts:
"PES2015 puts my worried mind to rest, but the developers still have some work to do in the coming months. The final game may even be a little more responsive for my taste and the sweet spot concerning timing and positioning still has to found. Also, the balance between attacking and defending still needs work. If those points will be fixed then thankfully we will have a worthy Pro Evo this year."
Balance between attack and defence will be extremely important online
