And why is that? Why they have to make only one option that satisfy only you and not as much people as possible? If you don´t like manual passing or shooting why don´t you just don´t use it? And the most important, if you like PES6 so much why don´t you just keep playing it since it seems to be "the perfect game" for you?
I always think that the most option that the game have, the better, specially in a sport game. I really miss sliders for gameplay in PES series for years and i believe that we would have much better experiences in the game with the sliders. And before everyone begin saying that the slires would destroy the gameplay, is simple: if you don´t like it don´t use it, just like the manual shot and pass.
Off the ball control has nothing to do with assistance instead it's one of the best things to come out from current gen pes.
It's balanced, not an exploit online and completely optional
the heavy scripting was on your side this time, nothing to do with manual/auto passing, this is why PES is anowdays even a noob can beat a pro if the script decides so
Your argument is so detailed and compelling that I find myself in total agreement.
I'm talking about the other shite where you control 300 players (2 really) at once. That is definitely not one of the best things to come out of this generation. Fucking around controlling more than one player is just bananas. Never been a fan of multitasking anyway.
I never used it, and i think most part of pes players neither know how to use that, it's optional and absolutely not necessary to play the game the right way.
You can completely forgot about team mate control just like i did and the game will still be fine.
You say that Pes needs to have one only system for passing, crossing, shooting, but that could be good with old school players like us, but since EA introduce options in everything it's very difficult fot Konami to develop a game with one only passing, shooting, crossing setting.
I don't know what will be the solution to online fragmentation, maybe online they could use one default setting for everything, but offline options for passing, crossing, shooting, etc should be mantained as they are
just reading all the positive feedbacks from the game on the E3 demo
and i was just getting my hopes up then something came into my mind...
and i was curious so...

Very true.
So because you find off the ball controls tedious or what have you, it's shite? Off the ball controls are maybe the most innovative feature that's been added to either game this generation. It's GENIOUS. I've never understood people who think devs should remove features and "unnecessary options," just because they themselves don't happen to like them or use them. It's like a politician wanting to pass laws to limit the way the rest of society lives. The more options and features and sliders and ways of playing the game, the better. Choice is GOOD. And if you don't like the options and new features they add, just don't use them. Easy.I'm talking about the other shite where you control 300 players (2 really) at once. That is definitely not one of the best things to come out of this generation. Fucking around controlling more than one player is just bananas. Never been a fan of multitasking anyway.
I had a blast playing a particular video golf game with my friends back in the early 90s. Some weekends we'd sit up all night playing until 5-6 am. Was the game simple fun? Absolutely. Are video sports games today less fun because they're more complex than they were 20 years ago? Absolutely not.Options for camera views, replays, minutes per game, weather, stadiums, balls etc... are all welcome but Konami's decision to create passing and shooting assistance options along with other options like manual modifiers and off the ball control has made the game a jumbled and unfocused mess in my opinion. They had it right up until PES 6, where the options and the games were lean, tight and focused. Still, I'm sure the new philosophy is all driven by marketing and sales.
Off the ball controls are shite. I rarely use them.
I believe off the ball runs should be handled by the AI and based on the intelligence, vision and positional sense of the players concerned. That's my dream anyway.

Sound argument: whatever I don't, is shite.
What part of the concept of "lousy argument" do you not get? You can have any opinion you like, be my guest. But if you tell me that a game feature that you never bothered to learn is shite, then I'm going to call you on it.This is a forum. What part of the word forum don't you get?

Fair enough, but anyone who watches that vid I posted can easily see off the ball controls bring an incredibly deep element of innovation, strategy and realism to PES. How do you call that shite?Ok, so where did I say I never bothered to learn it? I rarely use them doesn't mean I never bothered to learn it.
