count me in for those slaps for fifa fanboys ;)

Is it just me or every year the demo feels better than the full game does? 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010 I felt the demo played better on all of these than the full game, and people are right about this 2 demo thing, the differences between demo 1 & 2 are really noticeable in my opinion :/

no, it's not just you...

i found pes 2010 demo amazing, it could have been the best pes since ps2 era.

I think they make the demos seem better because they make it more forgiving. They're trying to sell people a product over a short 5 min game and want people to play the demo excited about some cool things they managed to do during the game.

I'm convinced of this, I tried the PES2013 demos a while back and it all felt more open and expansive somehow. Then it kicked in that little dribbles, attempts at goal that worked in the demos simply don't work in the full version (at least most of the time). The defensive AI also doesn't track attacking runs as much in the demos which makes it seem like the AI on your team is better thsn the full version when actually it's not.

This had to be the case, they're not gonna make the attacking AI worse. The full version of PES is always a lot less forgiving than the demos. In the demos, it's easier because they want to to be excited about that awesome goal you scored with Neymar etc.

Too much demos can be bad, too much feedback, too much crap. This time they shouldn't make the demo for gathering feedback.

Beside, Adam is already there collecting relevant feedback. I like this change very much because he act like a filter for Konami. He doesn't shy to discard any feedback that deemed as absurd and irrelevant. So only the goods goes through.

Doesn't matter if you like or hate him, he's more or less representing the core fanbase of Pro Evo.

I find Adam spends too much time replying to the trolls, he should spend more time replying to the dedicated PES fanbase, not biting back at blatant FIFA fanboyism, he should just block those people from his page and not entertain them...

welcome to the forum, mate, and get used to the critics and insults to PES around here, most of the users just come here to complain about the game or talk about their powerful PCs

Yeah I forgot criticising the game constructively isn't allowed apparently. I said a while ago that I'd be annoyed if Konami didn't fix some issues with ML that ruined it for me this year, and you ripped into me claiming I'll only be happy if the game is shit.

So given what you just said, I heartily apologise to all for criticising ML in PES2013 and suggesting some fixes for it. Guess I should just sit here and pretend I think it's the best mode ever programmed.

C´mon man, i was just mocking you since you spent countless hours writing about ML failures and etc but still playing it, so deep inside you probably still loves the game, even thinking it have so many problems in ML. Sorry if it offended you.

I agree that there should be constructive critics and that it helps the game to be improved, but the level of complains around here is laughable to the point that we see some people saying that the graphics of the 2014 is worse than the 2013. I would say that we only have about 20% of real constructive critics here and the rest is just angry and frustration about the game.

People almost forget that PES is just a damn game, not a religion or a political party.

Agree! :SMUG:

But seriously, if the GIF did not have the names of the players and the cursor i could really think it was a GIF from a real match!

I think the lighting effects (specially the sunny part) is too good to be true. You'd really think if the real thing

The sunny day lighting is by far and away the best lighting I've seen in any game.

Perhaps not, but the game it represents is held almost as a religion in some countries. ;)

See, that's the thing with PES 14; we've often seen great still shots of games, but as soon as they move it's obvious it's a game. With that GIF, as you said, if the names weren't there you'd have to look twice to see that it's a game. And that's on 'CG' machines...

Ok, I took you for being more serious than you probably were, so no worries, it's all good :)

PES2013 was a bizarre mix of being awesome one minute then insanely frustrating the next, but I played it for ages simpy as I don't have any football alternatives. PES2014 looks awesome so far though,, really can't wait to play it.

I found the demos recently to be better than the final product.

Konami should stick to their guns and not entertain increasing the speed of the game or catering to those who seem to prefer arcade football with ping pong passing.

This is the problem with feedback and large numbers wanting this presumably because they feel it too hard to learn to play the game or actually play football.

The pick up and play brigade.

I and most others would prefer as much a simulation as is possible along with a challenge that continues for months.

Since they've been doing these double demos I've always preferred the first demo over the second demo and the final game. First demo gameplay seemed more organic and had more of an anything can happen feeling about it, to me.

The demo is for testing the new game..

So it will be better if we have two demo this year...

If someone doen't want to test the game then he won't download it...

Demo is not for testing, beta versions are. A demo is supossed to represent the finished game, but with limitations, like a sample

I really hope there will be only one demo and that the demo won't be released until two weeks before the game hits retail and I hope it will contain final code.

Releasing two very different demos last year was imho an awful experience.

No its to sample the game and decide if you want it or not.
Its time for Konami to man up and give us what they think is right. If it isn't patch it at a later stage.

The only time feedback worked was for the beta testing on PES2011 which was a small group with a lot more focus.

Hint:

Don't take our chatbox residents Honome, Gab and Jay too seriously. They like to clown around. Jay doesn't bother posting here though so you're left with the other 2.

I want to ask one thing:

Can i play pes2014 with manual controls pass, cross, shoot without stupid arrows and extra button pressing? Anyone know this?

Damn the forum where moderators defame its most respectable members, with accusations unfounded and totally untrue!

I think you already can do that in PES 2013 with zero pass support and manual shooting.

I don't know what it will be like in PES 2014, but if it's lik ein PES 2013, we will be able to switch off the arrows, and playing on zero-assist feels nearly manual-like. But with L2 pressed passing is even more manual.

There, there. ;)

can't wait for more news, screens and proper gameplay videos :P.

(btw that gameplay on TV behind the guy, isn't it tad on fast side?)

Just played pes 2013 for the first time today against my friends whove been playing it non stop since it came out, from reading in here i just set the assists to 4 bars and spammed the truball button and proceded to beat them all easily( they use 1 bar passing) this to me is a disgrace as PES was always about easy to pick up hard to master, if you had 1 guy playing for a year there was no way a noob could beat him no matter how hard he tried. I used to destroy my mates on pes 3 to 6 because i knew football not because i could press 1 button and spam my way to victory. To me playing today was like playing basketball on grass, konami needs to ditch all the player aids in the game and go back to basics, you win because you understand football in all aspects and you put in the time to learn how everything works, i couldnt believe how bad it was:SHOCK:
