The gameplay demo of the bayern player scoring. What did the keeper do just rush out and stand their, no attempt to get to the ball or block it. Very worrying.

Keepers are extremely important and its something pes has neglected for way to long.

Don't worry a few mods can fix that if it's an issue.
 
My prediction is that is will be a little bit sluggish like FIFA 08 when they made the proper jump. On the other hand, PES has felt kind of unresponsive lately so it might not be noticeable.

Yair and everyone else havent been able to fix the keepers in pes since 11.

I dont want to rely on mods, the game should work out of the box, plus its a new engine and the guys may not be able to code or touch it.

Keepers animations have sucked for years, their reactions were good last year. I have no doubt in my mind that's being played on the lowest difficulty.

Well, I would like to go back to the classic UI (With fixed player names, time at upper left, and scoreline at upper right). Just feels better and more balanced, instead of only covering one corner of the screen.

Also, it needs a different typeface. Helvetica is too overused and boring, and with the current menu design, really feels amateur.
 
Anyone has video when corner kicks are taken place in the game? In current game football games, whenever there is a corner kick, only two player will fight for the ball in the air unlike real life where so many players competing for the ball. News I received said that fifa 14 next gen has that feature so I wish pes 2014 has that too :PRAY:

PES has never had that problem i think.

money talks,pes copy alittle fifa series
it look & seem better than next-gen fifa14 tho
wish they would have went in the direction of the pes2010 gamplay with improve on gameplay of course

man relax urslf why the negativity. they will fix it and that is an area they worked on. did u see the same match how the computer's keepr came off his line to jump on a loose ball or the other vid that keepr rushed at player to block him? what u saw is not the complete thing so wait and see man beefore u start having heart attack just to release u was wrong to do so like previously with other ppl here suggesting its over for pes only to start wanking to it and say i take back my insults. patients, thats the keyword here, patients:))
 
I know keepers have been a massive issue in the past, but you cant judge the keepers on the footage we've seen so far, wait for the demo when we get to play it on various difficulties.

They have been copying stuff from each other for a long time.It's absolutely fine by me as long as they copy the right elements, they implement them well and even improve them.

Everything about pes 14 looks great, i just do not want it ruined my terrible keepers which has been the case for a long time.

Everytime keeper issues have come up its always the same excuse, its 70% code it will be fixed which never happened.

If the 1 on 1 are finally fixed and reflexes pes will be a much better game.

3 and 4 are from when doing crazy skills, if your drunk or high on some drug etc.. and you have no time to put effort into it. Or Online I MUST WIN OCD disorder whatever.

I like how on 0 and 1, the normal pass is 'instinct pass'. Something yo don't think too much about the precision, you just pass in that general direction and try time it right.

Manual L2 is a pass where you think about it and look to precisely pace it where you want.

Players wait for instinctive passes where players run onto manual passes.



Wonder if this was because the developer was only using manual L2 passes. I'll check again.

I always believed that pass assistance 3 and 4 is only there because there are still players using keyboards and d-pads. 1-2 assistance should be available for players who are learning the game, or anyone who does not have the time to invest into it. Still, the magnetic attraction of the pass to player or player to the pass should be toned down, as well as the speed of pass.


I play on 0 assistance, and almost always use L2 or R2 passing. Maybe that's because I play all my passes carefully. I find the regular passing on 0 assistance (or instinct pass as you described) to be a bit unpredictable, in that I feel that the path of my pass is largely determined by the AI, thus out of my control. I only use it when the receiving player has tons of space and time to collect the ball.

I got used to L2 by starting out without using arrows, then with arrows, then without, for weeks at a time. That greatly improved my accuracy afterwards. I got used to seeing how much my aim was off when the arrow was on, and developed a feel for using L2 when it's off. Now I don't need it anymore and I can still play in the same accuracy. It was a nice learning tool.

I didn't really notice stop/pass stop/pass animations, or maybe I wasn't bothered by it particularly.

I hear what u r saying bro, that is an issue i had with fifa too and it seems footy game dont take keepers serious no more, but lets try and be positive for the king as we have already been proven with somethign that looks better than fifa 14 next gen and is only for current gen (pes 14 that is). so yeah u got right be upset but the past is the past they said they learned everything they used to say is improved and much better only to see it be behind fifa.
