Keepers animations have sucked for years, their reactions were good last year. I have no doubt in my mind that's being played on the lowest difficulty.

my brother came over to watch the CL final together so we were like "oh well lets play one match with PES13"...he scored one cool goal then i scored 4 goals from different range (from 10 meters to 30 meters) and ever time Neuer just watched the ball not even jumped...killed the night

Good point about the presenters using L2 pass to obfuscate passing/ball receiving behaviors from PES2013. I was secretly hoping that the game would be all manual tho..

The system the have now is perfect for 0 pass assistance or 1 pass assistance.

0 is for playing vs another human playing with 0
1 Great against the CPU
2 General one.
3 and 4 are from when doing crazy skills, if your drunk or high on some drug etc.. and you have no time to put effort into it. Or Online I MUST WIN OCD disorder whatever.

I like how on 0 and 1, the normal pass is 'instinct pass'. Something yo don't think too much about the precision, you just pass in that general direction and try time it right.

Manual L2 is a pass where you think about it and look to precisely pace it where you want.

Players wait for instinctive passes where players run onto manual passes.

Something i don't like in PES 2011 currently present in the gameplay vids by matsuda..

Ground passing animation... = pass then stop.. pass then stop.. cycle. Have a look at some passes just after 1st kickoff.

I thought most PES 2013 ground passing has eradicated this animation cycle a.k.a after passing the player continues to another run directory..

Wonder if this was because the developer was only using manual L2 passes. I'll check again.

Although it still looks like previous PES games it looks more fluid than any PES game before it. Whether that translates into better, fun and addictive gameplay remains to be seen. The ball physics definitely look better and more free.

"Looks like 2013 and Fifa"

If that gameplay isn't proof enough it plays nothing like the mentioned above then I'm completely speechless; regardless better or worse.

I agree. I've played a lot of PES and FIFA, and I'm not seeing the striking similarity. Nor do I think it looks like a carbon-copy of PES 2013. I'd love to see someone whip up a video of PES 2013 that looks like the PES 2014 trailer from 1:19-1:30.

I am glad Tele cam is back with adjustable settings and L2 manuel passing still remains.I hope game won't have too much assisted controls in general.According to gamespot, there is a Pes event or interview tonight. Is it true because ı haven't seen anybody talking about that..

Oh what a beauty! :WORSHIP:

I'm really impressed about the gameplay. Tempo, player weight, animations...

We can already say it's better than FIFA 14, even the next-gen version, which is just a graphics upgrade over the current game.

PD: The away fans are now contained on a specific zone, just like real life. About time :))

can we wait until we have played it before we make judgements on either game..a few nice graphics will mean absolutely nothing if the keepers are garbage and the gameplay video concerns me that the keeper didn't even hit the floor for the goal..to compare it to FIFA 14 current gen or next gen is just a waste of time as no one has played either final version

keeper 1 on 1 just stands their. I see konami are still incompetant at keepers. If the keepers are no good it will be the first pes i dont play in years. Sick of shit keepers.

Yes, everybody should reserve their judgement. But a little bit of excitement, joy aren't wrong. After all, these people have been waiting for years for new revamped gameplay.

You can see some CGI in the E3 trailer.

I'm not sure it's CGI (I assume you're talking about the last bit). It does create doubt but I've ruled out some of the arguments like the textures looking better and the whole scene looking more realistic than the rest, by comparing it only to day lighting scenes.

The only thing causing me doubt right now is the surrounding player's reactions which seem to be way too life-like for any video-game.

For me, CGI or not, doesn't matter too much. It's a trailer after all. Some part if it is using in-game asset, the other arguably pre-rendered. It's done to maintain stable FPS and high quality image at the same time. Just normal stuff in gaming industry, happens everywhere.

Gameplay trailer is another story though in some cases it's still pre-rendered instead of running in real-time. Nobody want to see screen tearing or fps drop during official presentation.

Ah, now i understand why from that gameplay videos the player feels like "floating" on the pitch. Maybe because the player's shadow isn't visible enough and it's not even the actual resolution we'll be playing at, well judgement about the game is still reserved until i play the final game.

Sorry m8 but this :

Is 100 % CGI, looks like PES 2011 MESSI ,FIFA 2014 pre-render CGI trailers.

Looking good so far.

PS. Fifa is garbage imo. Always has been and always will be. Generic crap.

No mate, deffo can't say it's 100% CGI. There's a clear post-production job there but the assets are the same as the rest of the game, in day lighting footage. It might however be a complete string of animations being played back on the engine, but guess we won't know for sure until we see more.

Its in the game graphic, maybe but it's pre-render . How i say, its same story like MESSI prerender trailer, FIFA's pre-render players from Microsoft event , from some in the game graphic, but all this actions are not from the gameplay.

amazing how guys like Hitmanuk, Speedster and Gabe will ALWAYS piss on the parade. Why not just go enjoy the FIFA section? *insert I been playing PES since 1942 here*

Been watching these videos all bloody day and cant wait to play it.

I just hope the damn AI has been adressed. Each team needs to play differently this universal counter attack play is a killer offline.

The balance of the game also needs to be addressed, online sucks with the speedy counter attack especially since the removal of the catch up bug. its fucked the balance up altogether.

Watching the gameplay footage and I've gotta say that I'm impressed with how fluid the animations look.
Still needs work, obviously since it's not finished, eg. ball physics) but I wasn't expecting the fluidity I saw.

Pleasantly surprised. :)

Hope we can zoom out the camera a bit more. I'm a big fan of the co-op camera from Fifa
