Keeper throws looking less floaty ;)

Check out 0:22. And the recipient has a nice flat header back towards his goal. Hopefully heading to score a goal will be this flat and powerful :)

It looks better then PES 2013, dont know if its going to be enough to beat FIFA 14, any news about online modes ?

Gameplay vid looks fantastic BUT....I hate how the keeper tries to scoop the ball up from a virtual standing position for the goal.

{insert "yeah but it is probably being played on the lowest difficulty setting" argument}

the gameplay vid dind't really look or feel much different from pes 2013 tbh. stadium looked nice but animations, goalkeepers and lighting looked pretty mediocre to me.

Most worringly: ball physics looks really bad, those on the ground passes seemed teletransported, ball does not move or spin properly.

where would this new engine be?

a brand new one , not the one we already saw :)

It's a litle bit premature to talk about the "feel" of the game. Am i wrong if i say that you can only feel it when you play ?

And i do agree, we've been saying that th'e king is back since 2009...in fact he is still absent...time will tell. It's way too early to jump to conclusions and the 'discussion' between people who are extremely disappointed and extremely enthousiastic are also pretty premature...it is silly to discuss gameplay at the moment. One can only do that while playing the reatail version...(and even then Konami had DLC that changed the gameplay completely).

It seems very good and i hope Konami don't listen to the fans...we'll judge them afterwards.

Dude, I agree with you. Ball physics look kinda 'off' somehow like it skids along the ground in a weird fashion. I also think the night-time lighting and pitch textures look flat. It's an improvement for sure but nothing near as impressive as Konami have been claiming. Certainly there are other current gen games with far better graphics still.

Gameplay-wise, how anyone is claiming it looks amazing is anyone's guess. You can't tell anything from this video about gameplay yet.

how can you "feel" something just from watching a video? this is children talk.

and what about all the impression from people who played the game and say that it is amazing game and it is play much differently from pes2013 , why people ignore what thy said and focus on the negative ?

Because they say that every year....

Looks alright, greater fluidity, not sure thats a good thing from a gameplay perspective. The 'angular' nature of the old PES games is what gave that sense of inertia and direction, made dribbling make sense. Comparetively, PES 2012 was a step toward animation fluidity, and as result it just felt floaty and disconnected against PES 2011.

Can't tell until demo day. Looks pretty decent, not blown away but not dispirited either.

graphics looks nice, still the crowd is lame with their 3 moves not to mention the chants in the trailer...dear lord what an ear rape...it cost much to include real chants? Now i wont judge the gameplay till I play the final version, because in videos previous PES & Fifa games look, looked well and look what we have now.

i'm thrilled, overexcited, amazed by this gameplay clips...

this pes looks amazing, superb, without any doubts the best one after glory ps2 era.

i hope they don't screw something up in the final version.

cannot wait!!!

We all have to re-learn how to play pes becouse this is awesome gameplay! I`m watching the gameplay video and I`m without words, it`s a brand new game in all aspects :) maybe some of us have doubts about some things from what we saw in these videos but don`t forget that this is not finished product, maybe 60-70% of the game. I think that they will improve much more things until october like ball physics I think it`s not perfect at the moment but Adam said that this year the ball was separated from the players and have own behave. One thing is for sure, we all have been waiting for this day to come, so here it is :)

Nice post,

its about that balance. I saw enough inertia and momentum just in that little gameplay segment so i'm not worried.

The only thing which i didn't like was Robbens animations, is his player ID turned off or something? In PES 13 he had his own animations, looked, moved and shot just like Robben, he looks generic in his movements now.

Rest was very good, nice to see come to past what I expected!

Its about the demo and game now, the big moment to see if all the underwork from PES 2013 remains or if its been taken out to accommodate these animations. I'm positive it's there since the producer playing as Santos was demonstrating the L2 Manual pass through the entire video, it looks the same.

Players moved differently, That Montillo player, along with i think another small attacker seemed to be very agile and nimble compared to everyone else.

Not sure how long we will have to wait to see the player stats screens and some footage and information on tactics.

Also, is Snow back in, along with muddy kits and pitches, they said this would be in a while back?

Still a lot to be revealed but I'm relaxed here not worried since Konami seem to know what they are doing, well at least 80% confident they do.

The dribbling pace variety looks promising from jogging to sprint.

Kei Matsuda is an avid FIFA fan.. look how he is always trying to do the skill moves..

jk :JAY:

Clear difference in movement and lighting, we have to judge gameplay by ourself. Not by playing the demo, but playing the final game.

Dont repair whats not broken :-), I dont think next gen looks the same as current gen

Yeah, will LOOKS different, with HD textures, but you can found a gameplay videos in youtube (Like THIS one) from E3 and you can see how close is to current gen gameplay , almost 1:1! And who is say that FIFA is not broken ? My opinion is that EA has a lot work to do with the gameplay.
