PES 2014 Discussion Thread

Hah, I anticipate a really bad time for sprinting whores! Notice how they keep trying to start running immediately after they get the ball but that results on the player not having enough control over it and knocking it too far?

My first worry just hit me, I hope the response times are good, I remember when EA did there original overhaul of animations while it looked stunning the response times for FIFA 08 and Euro 2008 weren't good enough, Hopefully the game remains very responsive to the commands given.

Sorry m8 but this :

Is 100 % CGI, looks like PES 2011 MESSI ,FIFA 2014 pre-render CGI trailers.

if it's CGI, then I take back what I said about how players run, I already took it back after seeing the game play, but still it is not perfect ..

and am glad about the custom camera, we'll play in every stadium with the real life zooming and placement , that's great ..

anyway, I hope from here to the release of the game, I can buy a new PC, my PC couldn't handle post-PES6 ..
the last PES I installed was 2011 and setting it to "low" ..

The animations seem to not just be fluid but really rendered hard to be lifelike. There is little to no sliding there whatsoever, just a barrage of inertia constantly.

Seems as if it will be totally different to PES 2013.

Collision system is very fluid, very good but there where a few moments of 'unresponsiveness' after players where fouled.

These players in thee video seem to have been struggling to get to grips with the game. It seems that first chance with the nice goalie animation the player just allowed him to have a shot, as if they are testing and just fooling around on the game.

i agree that it looks amazing when we see it . but after many watch , i think it's possible ingame because konami have special tools to make video , i mean special/custom replay camera , powerful tools to capture high fps

btw if i would have time and i wanna make a bit joke about u guys deciding too early if its a good game or not i would quickly made a 14 scoreborad patch for 13 and record a video with handcamera of the 13 gameplay :P see how many will fall for that

The collisions look so much better. That was my only issue with 2013 really.

Looking good.

The game looks so fluid. That's what jumps out at me. Very little about the way the players move looks overtly unnatural or jarring.

Also nice to see the ball bobbling around as a free entity.

The key moment will be when playing the demos, it looks very good so far in every aspect (gfx, gameplay, sound) but playing it is the deciding element.
The demo being good will not necessarily prevent them from fucking up the retail version, we've been so fucked in recent years that I'll be cautious till the end

lol this is PES mate, one thing they do good if any is thy let u play how u want and no scripted stuff like EA i.e. u turn it takes 2 more touches before it turns, so dont worry to much.

any info for new controls,
hope they will implement shot stick on right analog with some modifier L2 or R2,
ex: L2+swing right analog from down to right for right foot, down to left for left foot, how long you hold L2 will determine shot power

heading : L2+move right analog up to jump then move it again to any direction you want when the ball close for heading.
shooting/heading with buttons when receive crossing/corners always end up with buttons mashing.:))

To whom it may interest, asked Adam if the HUD stuff was final and he said no, and asked for feedback in the form of visual representation of what people wanted to see. So those with that sort of skills, start your Photoshop and start mockuping :p

Too true.

No league mode and my pre-order will be in jeopardy.

LOL! this is a footy game no one has time for some mortal combat button combos, well i dont lmao! :))

Kei Masuda taking over from Seabass was the Godsend. Best decision ever made.

Way better vision.

It wont mean anything if keepers cannot save anything.

The gameplay demo of the bayern player scoring. What did the keeper do just rush out and stand their, no attempt to get to the ball or block it. Very worrying.

Keepers are extremely important and its something pes has neglected for way to long.

Every decision Kei is making seems to be the right one imo.

Like staying away from Next Gen. what the hell do they need to worry about next gen for. They create their games for PC. And when you do that, you could easily downscale it to the PS4/X1 when the times comes. No need to focus on to many things. He focused on just the rights things. Like collision detection.
