I would really like dynamic weather, like the daylight moving on the pitch. However, with a 45 minute half compressed into 10 or 15 minutes, you would literally see the light move on the pitch, if it was real-time. Rather, they would shift the light a bit in half time, which would be a great touch but only noticable the first few times I guess. But the transition from clear/sunny to overcast/rain and even thunder (and vice versa) is something we really need to start having in our Football games.

Yeah, it wouldn't work as proper real time dynamic lighting. It would have to be scaled down so the clouds and sun are not racing across the sky. ;) It would have to use exactly the same principle the game uses for the amount of time a match takes - it's only ten minutes, or maybe twenty, but it manages to feel like a whole football match. That's how the dynamic lighting will have to go about it if there is any. Personally, I'd be happy with one lighting state in the first half, with a later one in the second. :)

i hope so, because at work i play with keyboard ^^

Why? You're limiting your experience in so many different ways. Have you ever actually tried a pad? I don't mean picked it up, immediately said 'this sucks', and gave up. I mean given it a proper go; you might surprise yourself.

Edit: OK - I misread your post - you play with keyboard at work. Don't let your boss catch you... ;)

Surely this generation should have killed anyone playing on D-Pad, especially when FIFA and even PES introduced more intricate player movement.

D-pad is still high in demand in competitive mode, especially paired with Real Madrid, Barcelona or any clubs that have attacking player equipped with "speed merchant" card. Because the sharp 45 and 90 degree turn make it really hard to defend.

In the above video, we did get a short glimpse at penalties near the end on the screen in the background. Interesting.

Bollocks to them. Those guys don't play real football.

Can't blame 'em. Competitive is always about goals, win ratio and $$$.

This is why i like to reiterate, the new PES should be build around realistic, patience build-up play. I'm sure if the game play great and balanced in offline mode, the multiplayer component will be great as well.

Have you seen how hot that interviewer is? I can't believe these guys could talk about aspects of the game in a coherent manner with such a hot girl besides them.:OOOH:

These guys are 95% gamer 5% man.. in the same way you and I could t keep our eyes off the girl, they could keep their eyes off the screens around them! Did you notice the way they just kept glancing and around them..

It was either the screens or the clear for rape check, and I like to think the best in people ;)

Blame Konami for allowing the option in there. They were going to take it out last year and apparently feedback kept it in. D-Pad seriously. If you play any other game then you'd be using analog sticks no?

Analog stick is much more natural to use anyway. They're not chopsticks :P

I admire anyone that can still effectively use the d-pad to play PES and other games now:WORSHIP: Analog sticks ( and Metal Gear Solid) changed the way I play and look at games. Can't go back.

You just answered yourself. If D-Pad is not available, all those speed merchant abusers will be gone.

I've been playing PES with the analogue sticks for ten years or so. Could be longer. When the analog dual shock first came out I made the switch and never went back.

...but you won't tell it to anyone, would you? :D

By the way, the more time passes the more I'm confident this is the year for the switch from PES6 which all in all, even if it's been graphically revamped with mods (and even if it still provides a lot of fun), is showing its age. :)

Hopefully my mates and I are in for a common choice this year (seeing that when I hosted tournaments until now we used PES6 while most of my friends used PES2011 when they hosted)... Can't wait!

After hearing what was on the 8bit podcast posted here, my excitement levels are dangerously high already and we're still in June for goodness sakes LOL

Also it sounds like a extremely early build, not even subs are available yet, so it's probably going to get alot better!

I also have both ISS64 and ISS98 and, well... You can't imagine how much time I spent on those games when I was a younger (more or less 12-16 years old). Especially ISS64 was my favourite one (to the extent that when I registered here I chose Kleimann as my first username).

And I agree: 360° movement was far from being achieved back then, but it's with N64 that I got used to the analoghe stick and I couldn't imagine playing without it at the moment.
Even with older PES titles which didn't have 360° movement (as I already said, I'm a diehard PES6 fan), I only play with the analogue stick and it's thanks to the N64 controller (which, by the way, was one of the less comfortable pads I've ever had) :D

Oh the controller was beyond terrible, but you got used to it  Ah, that time without forums... (well, at least not with the age I had back then :P)
