what dissapoints me is the fact they DIDN'T say DLC will be out on 27th ONLY for consoles. there was NO WORD about it.

and now we got this... i would not be angy if they've told it will be console only for this day.

Yes Zee, been thinking about this a lot lately and IMO, people (myself included) may be a little quick to criticise certain things in the game that have an influence over stuff we cannot control.

Part of the problem is this 'control' thing, where people like to feel that the game will pan out in x direction. For example we play as a superior side against another side and psychologically expect the game to go in a certain direction, kind of because it's a game.

Then when something out of the ordinary happens we question everything because we've lost an element of control. Liverpool-Swansea is a great example, of Liverpool going 2-0 up then getting back to 2-2. A lot of people on here would probably be up in arms if that happened in PES when in fact, generally, PES does a very good job of replicating the random element in sport.

I played West Ham as Liverpool for example, and lost 2-1 to West Ham by a late goal even though I was the better side. They played a tight defensive game, and the game was a slow tempo tight affair throughout. But I got frustrated and they picked me off on the counter.

The next game was totally different. The team I played came to attack and it was clear it was going to be zinger. After scoring first in the previous game on the 10th minute and not being able to score the second for the next 80, I proceeded to score 2 in the first 20 minutes.

It finished 3-0 and I had about 20 shots on the goal; it could have been 10 nil. But that's football. Stuff like this I'm always very impressed with PES. I can't explain it, but FIFA for example has always felt 'so' contrived. One element that feels different this year which I really like, and I'm not sure if it's placebo or not, but I feel that away games are harder to pick up points, like they should be.

On another note, I do a lot of sports betting stuff and believe me, on a day to day basis, the stuff that happens IRL across the globe is NOTHING to what PES 'scripts' thrown up...if this stuff happened in PES more there'd be a huge outcry of 'unbelievable' etc etc.

After this latest patch, I'm having a great time with the game. In around 6/7 matches I've only had one situation where I'd call keeper blunder, but even that was passable as it was the animation of the keeper that made it look completely shit rather than the outcome.

Scripts seem to have been toned down, but there's still enough in there that when you make an error the CPU can punish you. I'm loving the dribbling more now, and the shot power and shots in general I think are improved considerably. I'd say ML offline, is now near an 8, 8.5 game.

I don't think so, he is the best so he deserves the "100".

KONAMI did very good job in general !

I wonder why the Pre-Order stuff was in the data pack when it was free on PSN (Has been for awhile now).

Heart is the player emotion setting too right?

I've checked myself about update, with Goldo's editor and compared them (stats by stats), pratically every players even in lower leagues and national teams have been updated in globality or in some attributes.
Increased, Decreased or just modification in terms of playing style (+ in some attributes - in others) but the work is done fine. Apart from south america league (Brazil, Chili, Argentina), but it's not hard to do that manually.

Could you upload the option file so we, PC users, could do the same? Thanks...
 
I only have the game on PS3, my pc config is too wack for PES 2014 (for Fifa too)

Check on Transfermarkt, somes players to create, but they pratically all make an appearence in older PES (like Otamendi in Atletico Mineiro, was in Porto in previous version)

Edit: i've been installed PES 2014 only to check update on option files (i've got 1.00, 2.00 option files) and compare players from the previous DLC to current DLC, from my PC to my PS3...
My goal is to check how Konami make their sets, the relashion between stats etc. to understand the rating system a bit more.
It's obvious they doesn't make players stats by stats, but have their own system.

Converters (Fm or Fifa) aren't really accurate, that's why i try to find how Konami make their sets, and perhaps one day, make a player generator (based on Playing style, informations etc.) but i can tell you more for now on (and it's a bit complicated to explain for me in english lol).

I'v never messed up much controller settings, but what are the differences between auto feint on and off? I didn't notice much tbh.
 
PS3 option file isn't compatible with any editor...
I can if you want but i don't see what you can do with it.

Few years ago you can find PS2 editor for option files, but nobody cares about PS3/360 versions.

I hope this will change with next-gen consoles.

I don't have console and i don't try but with this tool you can convert PS3 OF to PC, edit with goldo's tool and convert to PS3 again
