I don't know how some people are enjoying this game. I tryed to play Master League yesterday and i only get frustration and angry for pay 86 dollars on this shit.

The game takes a century to begin, have absurd load times in each session of game, incredible bugs happening all the time (for example, the controlled player freezes for 5 seconds, but the ball and the other players are still in move), it's all bad...

In other cases, i've passed angry for buy a bad game, but is the first time i bought a bad AND a totally unfinished game that nobody, including the programmers, knows what to do to make it minimally playable.

Why did Konami get rid of normal speed in the replays and highlights?

I mean who watches all highlights in slow motion anyway. Its either an oversight or an error of judgement.

Probably to avoid heavy frame skipping.

If replays were at 1x speed, we would notice a lot of stuttering. By running the scene at 0.5x, the game can show every frame.

Agree - they've not quite achieved that minimal level of playability that makes it an acceptable game.

I actually quite like what they are trying to achieve with their game and I enjoyed playing through the training, etc, but start up an actual match against the cpu and there's just no gameplay. The AI is seriously under-developed and I can't imagine how anyone could even contemplate enduring a ML campaign playing against the cpu.

I hope they stick to their principles, but they need to hire more staff or something because the rate of progress is not satisfactory. They're falling so far behind EA, both in terms of developing their product and in sales, that it's not looking good for them. FIFA may not have much in the way of tactical depth or player individuality, but nor does this PES.

Stupid decision, I agree. If you record it to video, you can always use something like VLC to speed up the playback speed and have it saved, though.

too much focus on the negatives around here and no mention of the positive

aspects of the game. i must say i really like where konami is going with

this and especially the team individuality. nobody mentioned this but pes

2014 in terms of team individuality is superb! this year they nailed it.

im playing friendlies this couple of days and im blown away. try these

teams at this exact order. change players if u like but keep the default

formation, form green and random heart

is it me or in diversity(outcomes, passes, chances, shots, bloopers, everything) PES went to old Fifa and Fifa to old PES nowdays?

Which FIFA, 2002 ? :P I don't think so, it is probably just PES 2014 in terms of diversity that does not make enough big jump progress.

On the other hand, overall PES 2014 is much more entertaining than previous CG version where CPU ai is more challenging and nice to see them passing around much more.

Anyway, although the new DLC faces is not that high quality compared to known germany NT line-up, it is not bad as i thought. It looks better in the PES 2014 even if some are directly port from PES 2013, if true.

Ok had a good session on this after patching and updating and all that other nonsense, and quite frankly konami have somehow managed to kill this game for good.

To sum up, its atrocious. It reminds me of a nicer looking fifa 2005, the game that ad stiff running animation and players no matter what their stats that turned like the titanic.

Anyway, heres some of the stuff i witnessed.

- theres still a massive problem with reaction and response. My players take an age to power up a pass and play it. Ive been caught in possesion so much just trying to make a normal pass. Hideous.

- the game is now a pressure fest. I played a couple of third rate asian sides against strong european opposition and every time they chase and harry you for the full match. Their strikers have literally chased my midfielders all the way back into their own halves and won the ball back. Theres no time on the ball, and superior players you have under your control play like they are in treacle.

- shooting is worse. Somehow its more floaty than ever. Been trying it in training, its very hit and miss.

- catchup bug still there. Unbelievable.

- no variation to how the cpu plays. Get the ball from the back knock it up for a header on halfway, rinse, repeat.

- headers still broken, cant win one at corner, both players jump and either miss it or do a weak bobbly header.

- players chest the ball instead of heading.

Im sorry but this game is UNNACCEPTABLE. I wouldnt expect this kind of crap on ps2 or original xbox. This quality of game belongs to the cruddy 16 bit era were they pushed out crap for fun.

Konami should be ashamed of themselves and those championing it should be too - you people are the sole reason one of the once greatest football games of all time has died. Instead of being honest youve cheated yourselves. Ok ill stick myself in this bracket too as i bought the damn games hoping, but realising they just arnt worth a carrot.

Anyway thats me done, pes is off for a trade in now, ive gave it longer than it deserves.

Strange, I find every thing you said there to be not true.

Iv played over 50 games now since new patch, and I'm convinced now for me THE KING IS BACK. This game is fkn brilliant still a few minor niggles that need sorting out apart from that I'm fully hooked, first time in a long time cannot get off this game.

Have to strongly disagree, my experience on this game is complete opposite to yours. I'm on PS3 by the way.

So can you tell me how your game's set up mate? Is it set to 720p? Still uninstalled? Latest patch in but DLC not bothered with right?

my last bad experience with the game i later realized the dlc didnt download properly, and the game was playing like shit, In the end what i did was saved all my edit data on a USB, i then deleted all pes files in my ps3 and loaded the game from scratch and i also downloaded the DLC, ever since iv done that, by the way i havent installed any modified option files again from wenb or GTM, and to me its the best pes iv ever played by a mile. There are a few small niggles, like advanced shooting is still broken nearly impossible to do a hard shot on goal, but on basic, shooting is amazing and also keepers have a tendency to get up slow after they fall for a save, but there not as bad as previous, apart from that to me keepers are great now, you do notice the variety of keeper skills. A while ago chimps n quiffs did mention as well that the modified option files did effect the game for the worse. good luck :-)

I agree with you. Far too much negativety. I almost get depressed!
What you said about line-ups is true. I played the other day with River Plate and they have an unusual line-up. It played surprisingly good, compared with the 'normal' line-ups.

If people took the time to experimenting with strategy and tactics, they never would say PES is all the same gameplay. It's not!

The game played great at times, i really mean that. When the game decided to go in slowmo mode it affected everything. It was unplayable, hence why i got rid. Had this game been released on the ps4 or xbox one, i believe it would have been outstanding.

I loved so many of the things on pes 2014 and i gave it plenty of time. When they put league mode back in , i thought yes great stuff.
Sadly online being shit and slowdown has just killed it for me.

What does it fix ?

- The followin features have been implemented in response to recent user feedback:
-MATCH:
- More 'Camera settings' are available in the Team Play Lobby in adition to the 'Vertical' setting.

The following issues have been fixed:
-MATCH:
- Online match results shown after the final wistle were sometimes displayed as %d
-GAMEPLAN:
- Once a team's lineup of substitutes had ben editted, saved and then loades again, changes were sometimes lost.
- Player icons on the pitch would sometimes disappear.

In adition, we've fine-tuned each mode to improve your overall gaming experience.

I'm wondering if they will be able to fix the game going slowmotion because of that supposed RAM issue.
I've not played post patch enough to tell but if it's still there they need to look at it.
The game is great, we can't reboot systematically the PS3 to clean the RAM.

I've DL-ed DP 2.0 but after I added Daymos OF it's gone. Game says 1.04/DLC not implemented but when I go check out HDD, The DLC is there....

Can anyone figure out?

Yesterday i had a couple of very frustrating matches...
I was very enthousiastic about post patch PES2014...but yesterday i had very serious issues with player changing in defense... and this from the first game...strange...

In the weekend i must have played 20 matches and they were all fine...

Konami works in mysterious ways.

Actually cash i would get £16. i plumbed for the voucher so got an extra fiver.

Thanks a lot, it's going for around that on Amazon minus the fees so I'll take it into CEX next week.

I gave the game one last shot last night, I experimented with shooting to try and score just one original type of goal, and I did score a nice volley from just inside the box, but again, it's a goal from that distance that only beat the keeper because it went in off the post. I've score around four goals from this distance or further since the game came out, three only went in because they hit the inside of the post otherwise the keeper would have saved them, and the other just struck a near static keeper who didn't react to it.

I don't get Konami. They increase shot power in the patch but keepers are still almost impossible to beat from any further out than 15-18 yards. And R2 shots simply don't work against the keeper. Like I said, ive seen seen four goals from outside the box, or around the edge of the box, since buying the game on launch day. In comparison, I'd say about 95% of all goals scored and conceded were from the same build up and shot on goal, one v one with the keeper. Boring.

I've flirted with FIFA alongside PES 2014 this year and although FIFA doesn't have the clusterlove of issues that PES has, it's still soulless to the core. PES still has a feeling about it even above and beyond the quadriplegic goalkeepers. I still think PES 6/2007 is the best footy game of all time followed by WE9LE but I'd put 2014 next on the list. If a patch fixed the gk's I'd be happier than a pervert at the zoo after hours.
