I have the opposite problem: Cpu is too easy. I can easily get the ball to my striker and easily break through with a directed run and I'm through alone in front of the keeper. I shoot and it's a goal.
Cpu needs to be harder at defence.
 
I can't believe what just yair wrote...(a quit known modder)
I believe that this is the best PES ever, after the patch of course,
now it is really playable and close to reality.
Yesterday i begun a ML in PL with Tottenham, i had only 4 games of 15minutes.
All of them were stunning and what i noticed it was that each game was different. Little goals to mention but the passion that come out from
this game is unbelievable.
Of course there are somes tiny issues(i don't mean the bad copy of faces in some cases) but the game generally is the football KING.
Hope to play it in PS4 !

As the title says, I need your feedback regarding the latest patch.

Sad to say but I agree. All this this talk of going down a simulation route is fine, but just because it's more realistic in certain instances than FIFA doesn't make it a good sim.

I can't see how people can claim the game is realistic when you constantly fight against the COM to try and prevent it from playing the game like basketball. I think the main problem is the effectiveness of the lobbed through ball, on just one bar pass assistance you can pretty much punt it over the top at full power and you stand a chance of getting through on goal, and the COM takes advantage of the through ball too.

In real football, if you punt a ball over the defence it runs on through to the keeper or you just give away the ball, but in this game you can turn it into some kind of laser guided super pass, but the issue is how it's the main tactic of the COM teams. You end up needing to adjust your defensive line just to counteract an overpowered game mechanic. There's no realism to be had in that whatsoever.

it's only my opinion , I hate the direction that konami took with this game , some really strange Design decisions they made , I hate the passing system , the dribbling, shooting and the AI are the worst I ever saw in any pes game, the game is so repetitive and that was the strongest point with the old PES every game felt different and with pes2014 pre patch and after every game feel exactly the same , there is no different between Messi or Ronaldo same speed same everything.. and let not talk about the bad optimization and the slow downs , I expected much more after so many years with mediocre product from konami, really really big let down for me.

are you sure ? I've played some games after patch and all those bugs are there 100% and I can make a video that show this .

For what it's worth, I've played Jimmy often and the man is FAR from cheap.
 
would it help if i format the HDD to get rid of the jerkyness?
i have the xbox360 slim, on my sons old xbox (2008) the problem of jerkyness is not present.
I installed the game on HDD , resolution on 720P , but i happens during the entire match.

It's still the same game. All the patch did was tighten up some issues, but the fundamental mechanics and gameplay under the bonnet are the same. People are raving about this patch like they released a new game or something.

AI are the worst among PES CG series ? Man, in PES 2013, look at those tendency of CPU attacker standing alone to move forward instead of passing around or wait for his team mate like in PES 2014. Even worse in PES 2012.

good quantity of CPU ai passing around in PES 2014, either in the middle or at their defense, can not be reproduced in any level in PES 2012 or PES 2013.

Not to mention of cpu attacker aim for corner most of the time. 1 on 1, 95% goal for them to the corner :TTTH:

Individuality, even chamberlain (currently at my swansea) in this game is completely different with shelvey (swansea city).

My opinion though..

It's gone from everyone hating on the game to thinking its the best PES ever, with anyone not agreeing being shouted down. It's ridiculous.

Of course it's the same game/core but after the patch it's good game :)Before the patch the game was incomplete. This game need this changes what are in patch 1.02. Mechanics in this game is the best in football games ever. Much, much better than in FIFA. Havok engine looks awesome in Pes 2014. I don't know what you expect:SHOCK:

I have to say that (although i think the game is very good) i agree with some of the points yair makes in lonsfenomeno's post.

There is still stuttering
The player switching in defense can cause goals (and thus frustration)
The catch up bug is als still there, although it is implemented more naturally and personally i think in order to be a good game, there will always be a catch-up 'bug'...at the moment (combined with the poor player switch in defense) it is even a blessing.

I also kind of agree with suupertalk about the pressing: this is not realistic.

But i really loved my long session yesterday. Definitely a massive improvement from the first version and this is for me without a doubt by very far the best PES in current gen. Please build on this version and take your time...a finshed game in november or december 2014 is ok for me.
 
If any of you hoping for a complete transformation with just a mere patch, you're not going to get it.

As i mentioned previously this and any upcoming patch at most serve as a collection bugfixes and minor improvement. Anybody who have given up, this patch won't make you turn. Best to adjust the expectation.

Try playing it on manual if u find the lob through assist too easy on 1 bar, they have fixed manual with this patch, passing feels great.
 
Lami, what does "no essays" mean? I'm trying to keep it concise, but I like to detail what the problem is and improvements that can be made so whoever gets the feedback has a better understanding of what I'm stating. I think stuff like "shooting needs to be improved" is incredibly abstract.
