Adam just made another announcement of the announcement on his twitter account lol. Konami are hilarious.

So much incompetence in one "Kompany" in only one year FFS.
 
I had a few games on the demo again last night, and it's so disappointing how close yet so far they are from a good football game. It does many things so well, and at times feels fantastic how you control the ball and build through the midfield... But then you get into the final third and it's all terrible.

AI teammate support is very basic, the shooting is weak, the crossing lacks variation and control (why did they make double tap ground cross), I can't get players to react to head the ball unless it's at the back post, set pieces are awful and the less said about the keepers the better...
 
So we now have announcement of next announcement to be made. This is comedy gold, but sadly, no one is laughing and KONAMI really should start taking things seriously, or they don't realize, what situation PES is in Europe.

Sorry, but losing fans trust is worst thing you can achieve and that is happening.

Much more this year than in last few years!

It's really too hard until the patch is released that Konami show us the changelog about gameplay fix?
OK, they showed us the faces and boots, very beautiful. But now show us the gameplay patch content!

It's our right as consummers to know them for god sake!

Until now every single game i have lost i deserved to loose. This was not the case in 2012 and 2013.
Once again: this game is an unfinished product, but it has everything to be a very good one.

Well it's up to you if you don't believe it, but that's what happens. It's not a case as with previous years of scripting, this stuff happens at both ends. In this game, it was a 2-2 draw with awful goalkeeping in all four goals.

I don't understand what it is you don't believe? That there is a set way of scoring with the chip shot? That defenders sometimes just wander off? Or that the COM keeper refuses to pick up the ball when it's wide of the goal but only yards from him? Or that you can often shoot down the middle of the goal and the keeper dives out of the way of the ball?

If you've never seen any of these and have particularly no issue with keepers from close range then you must have some kind of golden disc where everything is magically fixed. I repeatedly score goal and concede because keepers dive, often in the wrong direction, and even of the ball goes softly down the middle of the goal. They either dive fully the wrong way or fall to their backside doing that odd looking spider leg animation with their arms.

Their PR has always been terrible, this kind of fiasco was exactly what I expected when a patch was announced.

I don't know how they make any money here in the UK... HMV, GAME and another independent game store in town don't even stock PES 2014 on either PS3 or 360, and CeX only had two on display for £30... I don't imagine this trend would be different in other parts of the UK.

So maybe people are using online retailers, but I can't imagine it has any sort of decent following in the UK any longer.

Look at officialpes Twitter. The person maintaining the account has been saying soon from early October. Hahahaha. How did they get into this state compared to last gen........
 
Really now, Konami need to fuck off with this terrible mismanagement of their community. Stop announcing announcements, FFS.
 
Good thing I'm still enjoying the game, because Jesus Christ I have never seen such bad PR.
These people are being paid and they're utterly incompetent.

It clearly shows that he knows what he is doing with the team he is playing and the guy opposite of him is just bad player.

If they played same matches and Gabe won 70% of them, how come in 2 last games they played each other he suddenly lost 4-1 and recorded worst defeat ever 8-1.

It speaks for one thing. Scripting. Don't get wrong idea here, it happens in all games. If you keep using same teams and same patterns, game will try and balance things out sooner or later. Handicap. Probably made Gabe shots go astray, his defenders/mids/goalkeepers stats went downhill, his opponents stats of players were boosted up.

Or he lost concentration/motivation. These are factors that affect how you play the game. I always beat my brother on a regular basis but there was a time he flogged me 13-5 on PES13 and I missed a lot of passes. I wasn't concentrating that day and my morale was really low. I am not saying scripting doesn't exist but not every strange occurrence is scripting.
 
Few things I want to ask.

1 - Last year, you could have 4 preset tactics and this year its 3. However, if you click select (help) it says up to 4. How do you get 4?

2 - A while back I remember seeing PS3 slowdown, how was this resolved?
 
When in friendly match why stadiums won't come along with the clubs. I mean ManU, Juve and other who have correct stadiums this year why I always have to manually choose a correct stadium every single time...?
 
Back in ISS Deluxe on the SNES you had the coin toss before the match. I'm not sure why football games in general have forgotten little things like this.

Regarding the home ground thing - this has annoyed me for a long while now. The correct home ground (by default or as allocated in edit mode) always used to be auto-selected in friendlies. I can't remember when this changed but its been like this for a few years now.

If I pick to play as AC Milan at home, the game should automatically select the San Siro.

1 - I've only been able to store 3.

2 - Allegedly, some still have slowdown. I have no slowdown at all on my PS3 version.

I'm not sure if Konami are just a bunch of Billy Bullshitters, grossly incompetent, or both.
 
I suggest to chill out and stop posting here till the patch is released. Posting here every day (complaining every hour:YAWN:) won't make the patch come any sooner.

It's too bad that Konami can't just tell a fixed date for the patch and say what it will contain in broad strokes, but that's Konami, it seems to go against their style.
