I agree with Speed 0 and Zero bars (PS3 though) but 30 minute games? I want to play a whole league and I don't have all the time in the universe!

What a load of absolute rubbish.
Scripting relates to how the Player Statistics are enforced across all techniques. It's how Player A can beat two players and smash one home from 30 yards, and Player B can't. Same applies to all scenarios. It's simple maths with the odd random variables.
Football is a funny old game, but as for pre-determined results. That is ludicrous.
What is ludicrous is your love for a game and a company that is brainwashing you with fantasies. In the PES series you never had total controll of the game. scripting was all over the place. it wasn't just stat based. it was everywhere. Freedom in a game comes with a price.

Of course, it's everywhere. but you might have forgotten the previous years where people would complain they aimed in the upper corner, but the ball went a total different direction while the player wasn't under pressure.
I will stop discussion scripting as I have the feeling people have forgotten about the amount of topics that were devoted to scripting. (and the rage that was part of it)

hey guys been playing pes 2014 ml for month nw jst won the brazlian championship for my first attempt after being promoted ,playing top player -1speed all basic control 20 minute matches getting quite easy now scoring 7.1 and 6.1 matches my young team geting stronger only buying young 21 yr olds.The physical side is key so as wel as first touch and timing of jumps especially with corners.Been using 4.2.3.1 formation with a second striker and 1central midfielder and defensive midfielder.Always tweeking the tactics to get what i want.Been using double touch shooting score more goals latley when i want to score a screamer.This is true football i do say it needs patience possesion is key and protecting the ball as well as runing of the ball.I must say corners are slow when trying to head out to clear and first post goals.Always lose my first match when i start then start winning.Have fun playing.

Just had an exhibition match and it was the funniest I've seen yet in PES 2014. Normally I see annoying issues in isolated cases from game to game, but this one had so many I was laughing before the end of the game. It finished 2-2, and these beauties happened:
- the COM work a shot at goal, he hits a weak, poor effort into the middle of the goal and my keeper dives out of the way of the goal entirely, leaving an empty net.
- I managed to equalise, I squared the ball across goal from a really nice move, and manage to slot into the net. Nice goal were it not for the replay revealing the keeper just standing there passively watching the ball go past him with no attempt to move at a saveable shot.
- I go 2-1 up, played a beautiful bit of flowing football resulting in El Shaarawi taking the ball on his chest, but my shot is awful and he dinks the ball into the middle of the goal. Their keeper again jumps out of the way of the ball, in fact out of the way of the entire goal. 2-1, three goals from shots weak and down the centre of the goal.
- 2-2, I coped with through passes with ease all game, but with a minute to go, the COM pumps a long raking through ball, the screen scrolled left to right, and I realise the COM has made my entire defence go walkabout. Not a few metres, but chasm sized walkabout. There were no defenders in the entire half of the field. Why, I don't know. Just to rub it in, the COM player runs at my keeper then scores that chip shot glitch that works 100% of the time. 2-2.
It's annoying because apart from every goal scored in the game, it was largely really enjoyable.
Other stuff I noticed was that sometimes when you take a throw in, just like in PES2013, the game sometimes randomly freezes the player you are supposed to be controlling and he stands there and allows the COM player to steam in and take the ball unoopposed.
Also a COM player challenged El Shaarawi and he did this bizarre glitch where his body flew across the pitch a twice the normal speed , with his feet sliding across the ground. Really weird.
But there was one bit of play that perhaps sums up the game perfectly. The ball ran loose and dribbled towards the COM keeper, who, on his goal line, refused to come and pick up the ball despite the fact that it was now about two yards from him. So, all the defenders and attackers end up racing for the ball, two yards from the goal line. The COM player desperately clears the ball while turning, hits a poor clearance to about 25 yards from goal because the keeper couldn't detect the ball two yards from his goal line. I pick up the ball, hit a 25 yard screamer right into the top corner, and the keeper does a super human flying save to claw an unstoppable shot out of the top corner.
Go figure.

Another minor thing that annoys me is Konami went to the trouble of trying to make it into a seamless experience with immediate throw ins, yet at the same time allowed a bug which sees a player aimlessly dribble the ball in a straight line even after the ball has gone out for a throw in. You just have to sit there and watch it happen.
How do they manage to programme one thing to improve the throw in experience, then allow the game to ship with a clear AI bug that sees players dribble off with the ball before realising its a throw in?

I don't believe this.
This has never happened to me in different matches, let alone in one and the same.
Until now every single game i have lost i deserved to loose. This was not the case in 2012 and 2013.
Once again: this game is an unfinished product, but it has everything to be a very good one.
There is too much hystericus around this game.

what really horribly went wrong this year at konami remains a mystery fifa style menus in game graphics horrible horrible gameplay i really don't know why on earth needed a new engine i bet most of you are playing pes 2013 like me

Haha, I do the same, this game is SOOOO unfinished. As for the FIFA discussion I think FIFA is the better game this year.... again..... but PES has something here, they should have waiting to release it for the NG. FIFA is missing something to, but is still the better product to buy.
In PES the keepers are awful and the freedom of moving players does not exsist. If they get this in the game, it will challenge FIFA.

ummm yeah WTF? how can i beat him 2-6 if he that good that he could beat me 8-1??? explain these results please! scripted fucking piece of crap, maybe japanese guys(no offence) dig scripting but i want to play against my friend and not against the CPU's or the PES God's will or whatever you called sorry, and yes its present in 2011,2012,2013,2014...not sure about 2010 and 2009 tho but sure the current gen and next gen is brainfucked very well, not bringing the competition taste of PES6 or 5 or 4 or the earlier version when i we got a free afternoon and night and me and my friend just played it till the morning to see who is better WITHOUT any scripting, sure scripting makes the game "lifelike" and dramatic but cmon ITS STILL A FUCKING GAME and i want to have fun, dont you guys?
Defence is still off geeez what an errors there and goalkeepers still keep punching the ball to the opponent after keeping it xD what a new fetish, i hope its hardcoded and have to wait for the nextnext gen to rebuild the game and remove it -.-"

How can we judge those games, when we haven´t seen you guys playing them?
You say you always chose same teams, had same forms etc but in a game you obviously never made the same exact choices which is impossible anyway.
I don´t say that there is no scripting in it, but I´m not sure whether the games are fully scripted.
How do we know how often you had good chances but missed the goal, or the keeper had it or not, or one of you guys just made the wrong decision passing the ball to him instead of the other one etc etc.
That´s football, man. Sometimes even small teams also win against big teams in reality

Yeah, but it was uplifting to see De Gea making double saves. Wish I saw that in every game, not one game. After that match I played Germany vs Italy and horrid keepers were back. Inconsistency is pretty bad. Scripting? Maybe, though I wish keepers were solid despite form/heart thing and difficulty level. It's a game, not real life.
Even if it tries to replicate real-life, it's a game. Fundamental truth is game should NOT be 100% realistic, because it would kill the purpose of game (that is bring FUN).
Still no patch news, still no news about gameplay changes. How can you take PES Team seriously?! They piss down on their own customers!

Look at results.
Gabe beat the guy in first game 2-6
Then they drew 5-5
Then gabe won again 0-3
Then won again 2-5
It clearly shows that he knows what he is doing with the team he is playing and the guy opposite of him is just bad player.
If they played same matches and Gabe won 70% of them, how come in 2 last games they played each other he suddenly lost 4-1 and recorded worst defeat ever 8-1.
It speaks for one thing. Scripting. Don't get wrong idea here, it happens in all games. If you keep using same teams and same patterns, game will try and balance things out sooner or later. Handicap. Probably made Gabe shots go astray, his defenders/mids/goalkeepers stats went downhill, his opponents stats of players were boosted up.
Stuff like that does happen and it is quite simple to test. You know in real life if Barcelona played vs Bornemouth it would be big win for Barcelona. The difference in players quality is huge.
Test it in any game. You will have problems beating them (talking about Superstar/Legendary difficulties).
That shit carries on to online games too (far worse team vs far better team is being balanced out, so both players have chance of win - stats do not matter).
I wouldn't say it's entirely bad idea though.

u didnt get the point, we havent got such gap in the previous gen era, why now? and we dont even have that gap every game and when we have its going back and forth ridicilously, like the results are like a rulett game. we played tons of matches, this game is still a big joke for me, not fun at all, no offence to anyone who like it but im done with it. period. too bad. i watied since 2008. i had enough and ive been patient.

There´s always been scriptng in PES, or better in all sports games.
If you remember PES 2011 if you manage to get a chance in extra time of second half you mostly would score or concede a goal.
The heart feature in this game is nothing but a script that in one side make your player worst and in the other like gods.
I remember in PS2 days when playing my friends, that some games no matter what you do you can shoot 20 times you wouldn't score, and if he goes there 1 time he will score and you will loose, it was not as apparent as it is now, and not to the levels of fifa certainly but scripting is there.
But scripting has to be there, but i just think not in online or human vs human players. If you see reports of people over the internet regarding the online play you will see this is true, i mostly play online, and i know that there´s games that i win because of scripting to my side, and even if i´m not playing well or my players are far worst than the ones of the other team, if i manage a shoot when the cripting is in my side, i will win no matter how many times the other person tries.
But this is my opinion, ones must have different one but this is my feeling when playing.

I probably don´t see it as negative as you do.
All I can say is that I only experienced scripting (or had the feeling of it) when I played ML against the Comp. And that mostly in Champions League Plays offs.
Like had a thousand chances but the damn ball just wouldn´t get into the net.
Hit the post, striker missed even he was like 2 meters far from it, CB´s were doing shit etc.
I had the feeling that I´m not supposed to win specific games.
Specially on PES 2012 and PES 2013 I had that feeling.
Can´t say that about PES 2014 yet as I´m in the 2nd season only.
When I play PES 1vs1 with somebody I don´t really feel any kind of scripting like that, just that sometimes players slowly walk to the ball instead of running to it or the keepers make mistakes or any of those bugs come up.
I have to mention that we switch off HEART, as the game gets more fluid on the PS3 by switching it off.
Maybe thats a big factor.
My cousin and me play PES since PES 3 on the PS2 and we kind of have our little war going on since then.
For years our results differ a lot, somehow like you and your friend´s.
1-0, 3-2, 2-5, 3-3, 7-4 etc.
Skillwise I would say we are on the same level. He is more like building up a game, attacking through the middle and often shooting long range, I´m
more the counter-attack-over-the-wings guy.
But coming back to the results, I always liked that because before you never knew what could happen and that made these games being exciting.
Of course there were issues we noticed like, the keeper didn´t react, or he ran out of the goal even you didn´t press the triangle button.
Or my defender had the ball on his foot but didn´t react and let it pass to the opponent and crap like that.
But that didn´t happen too often and didn´t kill the fun we had.
However, I understand everyone that is not satisfied with the game.
It´s fun playing it with somebody though (1vs1, 2vs2).
I also took a break as I´m waiting for the patch.
